Well, here we go again. Levy & Son told my 80yo mother that her HVAC unit, which they conn(vinc)ed her into buying a service contract on her HVAC system, that she has mold & rust and needs her unit, which is not that old (and serviced regularly per the contract), to the quote of $20k (rounded). So, how does a company that is supposed to prevent such problems, let this happen¿ Negligence. Imagine taking your car in for service, paying for the service, but not getting it. That’s dereliction of duty. So, BEWARE. This is not my first public complaint but THIS warrants a BBB filing. As for the PLUMBING side of the business, they price gouged her for toilet tank systems, which are plastic and built to fail, and their labor costs are exorbitant. It’s NOT rocket science folks. If you have an aging parent, especially a Mother, who doesn’t know about repair, replacement or pricing, please keep a close eye on them. My mother feels like she’s been taken advantage of, intentionally. BE aWARE, folks.

Tyler and Francisco did a fantastic job. Lovely and clean and got the job done in no time. My water heater broke. I called the company, and they sent Tyler over, and they got everything done on the same day at a very significant competitive price. I did my homework and looked around for different companies and compared the price. Great price, professional work, and done the next day for convenience is a big plus for me. Thank you, Tyle and Francisco. Follow up on this work. The work was done amazingly. My carpet had water damage because of the installation. There was no leakage before. It is, unfortunately, part of the risk of things that can go wrong during the water heater installation. I called to speak to the manager multiple time and was given the response was the manager was too busy dealing with other things and would get back to me regarding my water-damaged carpet. It has been two weeks since I reported the problem, and the manager still has not addressed the issue or given me a call. I am now waiting for the company's response and need them to fix the problem that was caused by their company installation. Please reach out to me and have this problem resolved. I will not hesitate to escalate this issue further if need to. You guys provide excellent service, and I did make payments for them, but when my property is damaged because of your service, I will demand that you to fix the damages—looking forward to hearing back from you.

Terrible!. Worst plumber experience ever! They came on Friday and I agreed to pay $175 for a simple shower fix - replace a cartridge. The plumber accidentally cracked the valve trying to get the old cartridge out. His supervisor(Ruben) told him he would have to increase the charge to $375 to fix both the valve(they broke) and the cartridge. I said to have Ruben call me to discuss. They shut off the water to the shower (supposedly) and left. (Ruben never called — still has never called.)That evening I discover the upstairs shower had leaked for hours thru the shower wall, down to my downstairs bedroom and bathroom wall and there were puddles of water in both rooms and the ceiling was also wet — a special plaster-finish was wet and stained. They sent someone out at midnight and shut off the water to my entire house and promised to come back first thing Sat morning to fix it. They NEVER showed up on Sat! New plumber, Matt(2nd plumber), finally came Sunday and said the 1st plumber had stripped the threads of the valve, not cracked it plus he had not shut off the water correctly. 1st plumber had lied. They again didn’t come back on Mon morning as promised, but showed up at 4pm and Ruben(again) told them to collect the $375 before fixing anything. Even though I showed them easily $1000 in damages from the water leaking and the damage they did to the shower in removing sheetrock and tile to get to what needed fixed. They left and have no intention of returning and I WILL NEVER USE THEM OR RECOMMEND LEVY & SON TO ANYONE EVER.

One of the units is now a lot louder than the other, and even louder than what the units were before they did the work. I called them to figure out what the issue is. After looking at the unit, the installer initially said it was the bearings of the motor. I asked him to replace it with another motor (which they would have had to do for free). He then changed his story and said the noise issue was the condenser. What a bunch of crap. Bottom line, I had Service Experts for appx 20 years before Levy and Son bought them out. I NEVER had an issue with Service Experts – If there was a problem, they fixed it without some run around about what the problem was. I have not been pleased with Levy and Son’s maintenance of my air conditioning units for the last two years since they have bought out Service Experts. I have decided to fire them and find a company I can trust.

It's currently 0 degrees as one of the worst cold fronts ever has hit Dallas, so I understand. My heat went out early last night so I called Service Experts / Levy where I have a contract and have been a customer for over a decade - they've apparently gotten so large through acquisitions that they've lost control of their business.. I have electricity & am thankful for that, which also means that they can't repair something for those with no electricity. When I called at 7:30 PM, much to my surprise and pleasure, I was told that someone would come. We talked & I was told that I've got a VIP contract and was a 'priority customer' so someone would come. At midnight, 4.5 hours later, no one had showed up, so I called & was told they'd schedule me & I'd get a call in the a.m. - guess what, no call, so I called two times & was told that I was on the list to which I asked 'what list' and was then told that it's the list for the agents who are 'on call', (so who knows who they're using as contract labor for this). l reminded them of the priority i was told about & wanted a specific appointment, & was refused. It's 47 degree in my house where I'm typing this & my unit has been out for 15 hrs - pretty miserable, but they begin and end the conversation by thanking me very much for being a preferred customer and literally tell me to have a 'great' and 'wonderful' day - can you imagine - I'm freezing, can't get the truth or any satisfaction, and am told to have a wonderful day - poor PR on their part, and they can't even get the basics down as to how to talk to people during such stressed times - - they sure give a great sales pitch when they sell the contract to customers and equally as bad is that when I call, I can't even get the truth - if they can't deliver, then tell me, but instead they choose not to tell the truth - - ALSO, one person I talked to told me she was an answering service where my call rolled into, but when I asked another to speak to someone with the company, she insisted, even when pushed, that she was the company. The last two times I called, they said that a 'manager' would call me back in 15 to 20 minutes. That was two hours ago - - They've been around for decades, are known to be expensive, and have been a fine company when everything is perfect, but when something out of the ordinary happens, they fold, and loyal customers like me become the victims of their lack of competence - - be careful when selecting a company - we are freezing, am told that someone may come but they qualify that by saying it could be tonight, WHICH MAKES NO SENSE, and won't get any more specific, WHICH ALSO MAKES NO SENSE, SO I can't leave my house - VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED, AND IF I DON'T GET SOME SATISFACTION AND THE TRUTH, I WILL FIND ANOTHER COMPANY WHEN THE WEATHER CLEARS AND BE SURE TO SHARE THIS SERVICE EXPERT / LEVY STORY WITH EVERYONE I TALK TO

Wow! Mark Johnigan and the LEVY team of Dallas is your contractor if your install needs are like mine. Our LEVY sales representative Mark Rosenberg called in his A team to do the job I needed LEVY to do which was an excellent WIFI thermostat installation along with the new HVAC and water heater. No, we did not start at excellent, but Mark got us there in hurry. Yes, there were legitimate roadblocks as to why this most professional install should not be done. We had taken two other proposals before choosing LEVY, so I knew we had the right people for our home installation. The reason that it was done to our expectations: the excellence of the LEVY team of Mark Rosenberg and Jay Reese. Thank you Levy!

Mark Johnigan came over to my house... looked at my existing unit and gave me several options and and explained each thoroughly. I made my pick and he set up a contractor to open up my attic opening to fit the unit. Every one involved in my installation was very courteous and respectful to my and 4 animals. Mark even came over at some point to check on everything. All messes were cleaned up & this unit is the best EVER!!! I truly appreciate everything they did & my electric bill is LOW!!! All went very well. I had an appointment. Raul and Bernie showed up as scheduled. All the work was done and the systems were reset before Raul left. We went through the details of the servicing, and set up a new agreement for the next service call.

Levy and Son in Dallas, Texas owned by SE Holdco, LLC parent company of Service Experts, which Enercare, Inc. acquired in 2016. Do Not Use Them!! Why? Keep Reading… Keep in mind we have used them several times over the years, No More! We initially had Levy and Sons Service Experts of Dallas, Texas to come out and repair a water leak under our pier and beam house. They also then fix the water line to the refrigerator off the hot line to cold and run the A/C condensation line that was dripping under the house out the house through the brick outside. Randy did a great job with all of these repairs. Since they were here, I asked about out gas line setup on the exterior of the house. Randy agreed with me the best plan would be to replace the main gas line that runs from the meter in the ally to the side of the house where the gas line enters the home. At the initial visit he tested the gas line and it held pressure, no leaks. The Problems. Initially I was told it would take 1 to 2 days to complete. They started the gas line job on Monday Sept 16th. Monday & Tuesday (2 days) it took the excavation subcontractors to dig the trench. Wednesday the plumbers installed the new line. Then on Thursday, day 4, the plumber thought they were all complete and had the City of Garland Inspector out to verify that all the gas lines are holding with a pressure test. The City Inspector approves the inspection. I then get home that afternoon and the plumber assistant is wanting on me so he can relight the water heater. We both walk into the house and there is a strong smell of gas throughout the home. My question how did it pass the city inspection? The plumber looks around testing for leaks and finds one at the gas compression tee fitting they installed under the house. Sets up for another pressure test and there is a noticeable drop in pressure on the gauge. He works all evening with no luck of finding the leaks. He tells me they can meet me the next day, Friday, day 5, at 10:30am to work finding the leak. I get home to let them in from leaving work and no one is here as they said they would be. I call the main number and ask for the Supervisor named Alex. It is a big run around to be able to reach anyone in the company, they have purposefully set it up this way. They gave me a lot of excuses but not answers. There was a family emergency with the plumber, so he could not come I was told, BUT this was not communicated to me. Alex was no help what so ever on the phone, and he would not even give me his supervisor to talk to, saying it was only him, knowing that everyone has a boss. Just send out another plumber, as told him as they are not a mom and shop! Obviously, he is trying to coverup all the issues we are having to his supervisors. They finally send a different plumber, Alfredo and two assistants, around 3pm Friday to find the gas leaks, of which he found multiple and repaired including the gas lines that they had just installed. He did a great job working to get all the leaks corrected. Now on Saturday I check my sprinkler system to make sure nothing was damaged, only 2 of the 8 zones works! Then on Monday 9/23 the Licensed Master Plumber finally calls after I asked for multiple times for him to come out, because of all the issues with the gas leaks. He is now going to have a Sprinkler company come out to repair the damage to the sprinkler system. Finally, on Thursday, day 10, the sprinkler company comes out to repair all the damages to our sprinkler systems, which took them almost two hours to repair. They, Levy and Son, were obviously in a rush to get the job done and move on to the next one. Keep in mind not even one time was it communicated to me when they would be out to work any of the days; I would call the main number and they would tell me oh yes, they are scheduled to come out today, but yet never informed the customer. Did not take the time to seal the new openings around the gas line where it enters the house through the brick, did not paint the new black pipe on the exterior of the house to prevent rusting. The smeared their hands all over the painted brick of the house where they were working, I had to repaint the side of the house, and they wiped their hands off on my cedar fence by the meter with gas pipe dope all over it and left a mess of parts in the hot water pan. Dripped PVC Primer and Glue on our nice solid Oak wood floors. Did not clean up our wood floors from all the dirt that was tracked into the house. A Huge Mess, No Care Given about the Customers Property, other than hurry up and get the job done. Once again Do Not Use Levy And Sons in Dallas, Texas area or any of its other its subsidiaries of Service Experts which are located through the country. Their website states “we want your experience with Levy & Son in Dallas to be one of the Best Service Experiences you’ve ever had. Ever.” This has been the WORST experience Ever!! Also their website states “Quality Service Every Visit” this did not happen, “Respect for You & Your Home”, this did not happen, “Always Easy To Work With”, this did not happen. You Have Been Warned.

I am INCENSED with Levy & Sons. We have been loyal customers for over a decade. We have a service agreement with the company. When our tech showed up this morning, he informed me that due to a company buy-out, Levy & Sons has DOUBLED their prices! I used to pay $129 for a drain clear-out, and when he showed up today, he told me the flat rate for each issue is $300! I called the office to complain and I was given the old rate for this last time. And it will unfortunately be the last time we ever use this company.

I made the AC service appointment under my annual contract 3 weeks in advance and took the afternoon off. One week in advance, I called to make sure the service call noted that my AC is located on my two-story condo roof and was assured that it did. The call window was 2-4 pm, and I called at noon to make sure they remembered this was a roof job. (The service contract price is increased if you have to pay for roof access, and I had.) I was assured they were sending the appropriate ladder. At 3:30 pm, the office called to tell me the technician would be there at 4 pm. At 4:20 pm, I called the office and was told the technician was at my gate. He appeared at my door a few minutes later and immediately said, "We have to reschedule. This is a roof job and that requires two men." When I told him I had waited all afternoon and confirmed with the office that it was a roof job twice, he called the office and they said they were sending a second man. The technician proceeded to wait in the parking lot for over an hour, then finally came back in and said his second man was stuck in traffic and he would need to reschedule. I told him to have his manager call me. I immediately tried to reach the office, but got a machine and told them I wanted to cancel my contract and they needed to call me. This was Wednesday, it's now Saturday morning, and I've had no further contact with the company, in apology, correction, or rescheduling. I am very sorry I gave them money for an annual contract (several hundred dollars) and would not do it again.

I was very happy with the service. Levy and Sons was very professional and responsive. They wanted to make sure I was happy with the install and I would use them again.
Description of Work: Dana Bacon, the sales rep, was super responsive as was the whole Levy & Sons team. The install of the new ac/heating system was very professional and I had a couple minor tweaks I wanted after install and Levy send a technician right out to look at the issue as part of the warranty. The also installed a new cooper line to the ac unit.

They been really good, sometimes the service men are not the greatest but luckily it's just mainly been for maintenance. I like their honesty and I like they back up their work. They do plumbing as well. I wanted to do something and they said no we don't need to do that and they were right and they said look with the thirty day guarantee and if you don't, if your not happy with what I want to do you know we do it his way not mine, we'll come back and do it your way you know at no cost or something and they were right so I was impressed.

I needed a new air conditioner this spring and I got two estimate and one was almost double the other I would just say be sure to get more than one estimates. I was very disappointed, they'd be so far out. He was a very nice gentleman but his numbers were all out of whack he didn't measure anything he didn't really investigate at all. Be more thorough with there documentation before they start quoting. They came when they said would come.
Description of Work: I used Levy & Son for heating and A/C estimate. To put in a air conditioning and a heating unit.

Excellent. Except for being without hot water for a few days. Everything that Levy & Son did was 100% perfect.
Description of Work: Emergency then scheduled service to our tankless water heater. Our tankless water heater developed a leak. I was directed to Levy & Son by another plumber as this was on a Saturday. The plumber arrived within the time period scheduled and quickly diagnosed the problem. I ordered the parts covered by my warranty. When the parts arrived, the same plumber came back and installed the replacement parts very efficiently.

I called Levy & Sons for a furnace tune-up per the flyer I received in the mail. This service was advertised at a $30 savings off the regular $99 price. I have two furnaces, and one was leaking water onto the attic floor and consequently through to the ceiling of the master bedroom. The technician arrived on time and I explained the problem. He diagnosed that the primary drain was clogged, but went about inspecting both furnaces before applying CO2 to purge the drain. The items he inspected were the filters, motors, amps, volts, thermostats, temperatures and electrical connections. I expected a tune-up but apparently only an inspection occurred. He then retreated to his vehicle to "write" recommendations and fixes. This took over 45 minutes to complete. When he presented the details to me for approval, his recommended fixes or improvements came to over $4,500. The only item I approved was to purge the primary drain which was 6th on his list of 10. The technician was not aware of the $30 savings off the regular $99 price for tuning the furnaces, but honored the reduction. The problem of leaking water was not fixed and I called the company back and requested the technician return to fix the issue. He was not available but another technician arrived and came up with another diagnosis of the problem. A gasket or seal behind the motor was cracked...he could not give an estimate to fix and has not to date. I called another Heating & AC company to look at the problem. They also diagnosed the issue as a clogged primary drain. It was determined the emergency drain line had been purged by Levy & Sons, not the primary drain. After the primary drain was purged and cleaned, the problem was resolved.
