It went well. I had hired them to do masonry work but after discussing it with them, we decided to go a different way which they were able to help with. The only thing that "didn't go well" was that they took the opportunity to try and sell me on their other services, which I wasn't really interested in. They didn't push, no hard sell or anything.

It did not go well. The guys came, looked at the problem area and put a whole ton of sealants between the panels in a large area. I guess their experience told them that's where the problem was, which is fine. However, they let their experience cloud their judgement and failed to spot some obvious leak paths through a cable hole running into the wall. A few months later, the leak problem came back and the newly repaired wall started to crumble again. My property management company called them up but was met with rude and arrogant denial of their failure as the owner placed all blame on SPECULATED preexisting conditions. They also blamed me for trying to get some side job done while they are their. I guess I was a distraction to them?! In my opinion, if they are to build a business on their experience, they should at least take the responsibility when their solution did not work. I give them a F for their irresponsible performance.

I did receive a call from your maintence company and they explained to me our materials were degrading and failing. I expressed my disbelief because my polyurethane lasts 20 years or at least has on every other job I've ever done. They insisted our warranty must be honored because they sent a guy and sure enough our material was falling off. At that point I drove 1 hour both ways total 2 hours drive time to see there full of it. I took pics of all the things we had done and they were fine I tried to reach out to your manager at that point to give them a piece of my mind they to date have not responded. This leaves me to wonder ho to Bill for 2 hours drive time? You and your management company are full to the brim... If even one third of angieslist customers were even vaguely like you I would not use them to advertise thankfully that's not the case but anyone who's ever had fruitcake realizes there are a few nuts in the mix.

There were quite a few people who showed or to this job (4 or 5). I thought that if 1 person showed up, he probably could have been more effective than 5 all at once. They came in and fixed some of the problems and repaired some cracks. They then told me that it would be about $2300 to fix the rest. The details that they provided regarding the additional work was small. I would have liked to have received a sheet of paper saying, "We did...... , you still need..... and here is the cost per what you need. That would have been more helpful than what I got. That being said, the quality of what they did (the stuff that was actually complete) was very good. They left a sealed portion that was not grouted at the entry of my house on a very visible surface. That was not cool.

One thing you should understand is when you purchase a big deal we tried to provide as much as we can to honor that. However it is very limited income for us because a portion of that also goes to Angies List that being said we have to get in and get out with some skin. The conversation we had with you in regards to additional repairs when you show no interest in purchasing any additional we do not take the time to give you a written proposal. Sorry about leaving something on done on the front of your house but this was the first I had heard of it obviously human oversight .

I originally called them for chimney repair. I guess, they specialize on masonry work for the material that holds the bricks together. He looks for any broken seals or things like that. He pretty much was adamant about trying to sell me that service compared to what I was looking for. To be honest, the guy was pretty shady. One of the things he did was ask me if I could pay him in cash and just request for a refund through Angie's List. It was really shady. He said something about how he needed to pay his guys today and Angie's List pretty much takes a cut. The owner of that company seemed pretty shady. Since he recommended that I buy some chimney caps, I just asked him if he could seal the corners of my chimney. He sealed that. I just had him to do that and that was it.
Description of Work: I purchased a big deal from them. It was $168 for $300 worth of masonry, chimney, or tuckpointing service.

Not sure what you thought was shady about my suggesting you get chimney caps I make that suggestion quite often when the Caps are concrete and failing as yours were. Strange thing is how you thought I was trying to pull a fast one because we don't even provide that service . I do recall our conversation and do not recall suggesting you get a refund or needing money from you to pay my payroll . I am grateful that you represent a very small portion in my experience of Angies List customers. The other brick splits and mortar voids I pointed out to you were in fact the exact problems we address all the time I spoke with you extensively about that process I'm grateful you will not be our custome sorry you didn't gleen any useful information from me. I guess you were too busy being suspicious and trying to find fault with any part of our experience together. I do not appreciate you're twisting my words and in fact adding additional words to what I said. That Sir makes you a liar and I regret the time we spent with you as it was a total waste of time then you insult me by reporting falsely to Angieslist FYI all your reports both past and future are stored and they realize you we both are.

We had about a 60' edge of our back porch slab (9" thick) with slate tiles grouted vertically to the edge. Recently, after 10 years, some of the tiles have started coming loose. I had reset about 6 tiles last year, and I estimated I had about 10 tiles that absolutely needed to be redone right now, as they were either off, or just about off. I originally bought the $300 package of masonry work, not quite sure how long this would take. After a phone call to set things up, Leak Trackers came out to assess the situation. They advised that all of the tiles should be removed and reset, and gave a quote for a total of $1280, or $ 980 in addition to the $300 package. At first I was somewhat stunned and felt I was being "upsold", but deep down knew that it was just a matter of time that the remaining tiles would be popping loose and that I was just trying to "patch" the immediate problem. He had the right number of folks there to do the job quickly. They removed the tiles, ground down the previously placed grout bed from the edge and tiles, and then reset the tiles. It looks fantastic. They cleaned up after themselves. And they were out of here within the day.
Description of Work: They removed and regrouted about 60 LF of slate tiles along the exposed edge of our back porch.

The head guy arrived on time without his workers to see what I wanted done and, as others have said, to explain what I'd paid for I.e., number of hours labor bought/number of workers = length of time spent on the job. He said his guys were having breakfast at a local cafe I wasn't familiar with where they always tried to eat when in town, and that they'd be here soon and that would be when the labor time when begin. While waiting for his workers he observed that my roof looked new. Then he said my chimney cap should be replaced; that they weren't done that way any more, covering only the chimney opening and not the entire chimney, and he wouldn't be surprised if there was water damage to the fireplace bricks. I made no comment and he said he'd check it out. We chatted for about 15 minutes more while we waited for his workers...5 I think. They soon showed up and after he put them to work he retreated to his truck where he remained until they were cleaning up and he noticed me in the front yard getting my mail, checking the front decorative wall repair, and looking at my chimney which seemed to have the face of one of the bricks broken off and which coincidentally? I had never noticed before. Eventually the head guy finally got off his phone, emerged from his truck, and came over to me. I complemented the mortar work his guys had done. He told me I didn't have any water damage to the chimney but that I did have one of the bricks broken off (as noted above) which they would fix. Then he said that unfortunately while up on the roof he'd noticed that the squirrels had chewed into the the (lead?) vent pipes, that he was surprised I hadn't noticed any leaks upstairs and that the roofers (from 3 yrs. ago) hadn't said anything.. He also said they should be replaced with PVC. But, he said pulling me into a side hug (not professional) he'd go up and take pics of them to show me, He went up for a couple of minutes, came down, and showed me a couple of pics showing pipes gnawed down to roof level. He then shrank the screen down down to collapse the pics.......which went back into about the MIDDLE of about 20-30 thumbprints on the screen. Bells went off then and I should have trusted my instincts. I am a retired Systems Analyst and devoted iPhone, iPad, and iMac user and have no experience with android products. However I would've expected the most recent pics would have gone to the END of the group of pics, or maybe even the beginning, but the MIDDLE? Anyway fool that I was I paid the guy $500 to replace the lead vent pipes (which had been on my roof uneaten for 37 yrs ) with PVC. Also , too late, I remembered that just a few months previously my new insurance agent had an outside inspector come out to check the condition of the outside of my house after my agent of about 50 yrs retired. And that insurance inspector was the one who had reported the cracks in the decorative wall AND he had been on the roof. But he hadn't made any comment in his report about vent pipes being chewed down. Had squirrels done all that damage in the last 3-4 months on my house? I am a senior and a recent widow, and obviously am not about to go climbing around my second story roof. And I can only blame myself for ignoring my instincts. I was not forced to have the vent pipes replaced. I've waited months to make this review and the facts I've stated are as I remember them and any conclusions I've drawn are my opinion which has not changed at all in that time. I will not rehire Leak Trackers and did not recommend them to my neighbor who had subsequently inquired about them regarding repairs required to their chimney.

I am deeply offended having not come to do you hurt but good. You've implied I deceived you by showing you pics of damaged lead stacks that were not yours and charging you to replace something that didn't need repair. WOW had you poked your head out the window to observe the lead as it hit the ground it would have put your mind at ease. Guess you were to busy trying to figure out what I was doing on my computer in my truck. It takes a lot of time and energy to connect and schedule all the jobs we do and that is a function I do during my work day as tho I owe you any explanation... Well all I can say as your throwing out accusations is a word of warning not to get yourself sued for deformation. And for the record the you had an inspector who made no mention of said damage ever consider the brutal winter we had or how much a squirrel can eat in a day??? Might be Google worthy.

Speed up right on time with a large crew. Finished job in 3 hours and all crew members were very professional. Owner was very knowledgeable and took time to explain recommendations twice, once to my husband and again to me since I was inside and missed it the first time. The repair looks wonderful and the room is much cooler inside. We are saving to continue with the rest of the house, a few windows at a time. This was a professional job with a guarantee!
