Still have the leak over a year later. They don't answer the phone been out a few times still no good. Now they don't answer messages and when they did was 2weeks or longer to answer. I wonder how they do business like this. Oh that's right they already have your money....

The work look pretty good and was matched well. However, their repair method is putting white caulk in a mortar joint and then using a color match mixture of sand sprinkled on top of the caulk. This lasted about two & a half years until the sand washed off and left exposed white caulk which now looks terrible. They provided a five year warranty. I contacted them twice making a warranty claim within the 5 years and they respond that they would get back with me. Nothing. I contacted them again and no response. So, they did not honor their warranty. Buyer beware!!!! They really didn't do bona fid mortar repair, but ….I am not sure what you would call it.

Went well. Job was completed in one day.
Description of Work: We had leak from brick on front of home leaking into master bedroom. They fixed it--no more leak! We actually hired them to also cosmetically repair grout inbetween brick on outside of hour home. They did a real good job of matching grout color. Note: Manager offered coupons for us to use, but workers did better work when being paid on hourly basis. We would definitely rehire them again.

Extremely pleased with the work. Explained the work that needed done and why. 40 year old house and they made the repairs blend in to match the original. They even redid some previous repairs so that they match the house.

I couldn't be more impressed with Leak Trackers. They were able to come out the day after I claimed the deal and went above and beyond in all regards. They showed up exactly when they said they would, explained what they were looking at doing, and did a lot more work than I had even requested. And this was all included in the promotional rate plus materials. They could have simply done what I asked and I would have been very satisfied, but they knew I was getting ready to list the house and caught every item a home inspector would flag and fixed it while they were out.

Showed up, without calling as promised. Surprised us. Then did nothing to find problem. Tore up floor and charged for tearing it up, without fixing. Then wanted additional $800.00 more to seal up back of house, without finding leak. Spoke to him 3days prior on phone and gave full description, and he assured could find problem for $85.00 service charge, would only charge if he found/repaired problem. That was not the case. Talked husband into more money $142.00 to rip up floor, then said, we need to find someone else to fix our problem. Feel ripp-off and decived. Wish had never called him to start. Leak obviously in front paneling where garge converted. Explanied that over the phone. I could have saved money, know where my own leak is. Don't waste your money on this company. They don't find leaks charge to tear up stuff, but no help. Very sorry, used them!!!!!

We did call in advance as we said we would but no answer so since we’d promised to be there at a specific time we showed up as promised. Then discovered a addition that had a floor wood cupping across entire surface we then realized the entire floor needed to be removed upon your husbands approval we did what’s called a core sample to discover what the underlying problems would involve. At that time we discovered sub standard construction was the standard telling us the enclosure was obviously done without involvement of an inspection or permit being acquired from the city obviously when we discovered wall fiberglass laying on the old garage floor sopping wet with water we had advised your husband the entire floor as well as floor joists would have to be entirely removed and set out front for the city to pick up and haul to the dump. At that time we also advised him to employ a demo crew to do the removal at a reduced price. Major work could be done with cheaper laborers. Can’t say we’re really sorry for advising you to move in a direction that would obviously save you hundreds of dollars and your attitude and review tells us you just wanted to kill the messenger. Again just call them like we see them and sometimes we need to advise people information there not ready to hear. I’m also sure if the city of Mesquite was to get involved they would demand you to start from scratch because a permit was never pulled to start the enclosure not to mention the electrical and other construction that was done illegally. Won’t apologize for charging you a whole $145.00 for sharing all the news you obviously weren’t ready to hear either as we spent a few hours to spend and advise your husband which when he shared with us he had no money to start the project we charged a bare minimum for our time to come core sample and advise. Have to say we’re quite surprised with your most negative response to a true professional telling you the truth about what a piece of crap the supposed contractors had previously done years before we ever arrived at your location. Just hope the city doesn’t catch wind of what’s happened at your home in the past or they could legally force you to remove all of it and have a garage again. However it works out we wish you only the very best moving forward and if you heard anything in all of this you’d heed the good advice we shared with you and remove the entire floor joists and sopping wet insulation that would give a real contractor the latitude to do it properly but of coarse as your husband said there’s no money to fund the project at some point you’ll have to realize even if y’all do it yourself you will be hard pressed to do it with no money because it will literally cost you a few thousand just to provide the materials. Thanks for appreciation of our time and spending a whole $145 to get our best thinking actually regret ever seeing your project.

I called Leak Trackers, and we were able to schedule an appointment immediately for them to evaluate the problem. Within about 30 minutes of their arrival, they identified the source of the leak and a few other areas of the house that needed attention, due to cracks in the masonry of the house. They provided me an estimate and fixed the issue the same day. They also provided some areas of the house to keep an eye on, that may need attention in the future. The window is no longer leaking water. And I will use Leak Trackers in the future/

At that time, we were taking in quite a bit of water in the house around the chimney. We had already had three different companies out to repair the leak, but we still had water. We had already spent over $1000 with the other guys. These guys came out and did a seamless repair on the brick and we didn't get any water for about 7 months. When we saw water again, we called them out a second time. They did a repair on a different part of the chimney, so the work they did the first time around was still intact. Even though they were not at fault, they didn't charge me for the new repair! While they were here, I had them assess the whole house, as we have had many issue with the appearance of the bricks since after having our foundation repaired. I have hired them twice for brick and mortar repair and sealing of upper level windows. They do beautiful work, very professional, very friendly and knowledgeable, prompt, they call ahead and usually call afterword to make sure customer is pleased with the work performed. They are not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. I have that from first hand experience! I don't mind spending the money if I know its going to be a one time repair. I highly recommend this company and I give them an A+ rating. Since I have hired them on multiple occassions, and I intend to hire them again to complete the work I still need done, it is difficult to give an approximate cost of service. But they do stand by their work!

Great! Terry & team (Corey & Shawn) arrived promptly as expected, spending approximately two days to complete this work. House bricks are soft Mexican adobe brick in a 1970's custom size. Job entailed "shaving" currently available matching bricks to fit the existing narrower bricks. Great effort was made to "match" the other bricks -- hard to tell that new bricks were interspersed with the old bricks. Very happy with this masonry work & no more cold breezes around doors & fireplaces! Cat & Mack
Description of Work: 45 year-old home: Two outside chimneys needed major brick replacement/repair, flashing replacement/sealant, chimney cap supports, etc. Both fireplaces needed caulking/sealant to stop cold air pouring into rooms. Three external doors needed weather stripping applied. Cement replacement required under door "landing".

I was very surprised at their prices being as high as they were. We had bought a coupon with them for a specific amount of work though so we did one item that cost us $1,000 over what we had already paid. Their work was wonderful, they cleaned up after themselves and were very nice. I would hire them again, I just wish they were a little more affordable so that we could use them more often.

Sorry for the sticker shock but keep in mind our repairs unlike traditional mortar repairs are permanent and will not need to be revisited in the future. The price is usually the problem that is why we offer a gift of $200 to $400 to help get the projects started now you have a substantial sample of our repairs and they will stand tall for years to come. We have them going back 20 + years and still looking great. Please keep us in mind for any future issues.

The offer was misleading. Offered 8 hours of masonry repair for coupon purchase, but business representative said it was 8 hours between 3 employees or approximately 2 1/2 hours each employee. The representative asked me to come an hour earlier to work site on day of work to go over the areas he found, which I did. When I got there, they were already working and did not stop to show me anything, until I asked. Two employees were working to lay a line of brick on a ledge, which I had not authorized. He showed me what he said needed repair. I told him what I wanted fixed and he said that the coupon could be applied to the line of brick. After awhile, I was told time was up and they had not completed the line of brick. I told him that you are just going to leave it unfinished and I was told he just wanted me to see what it would look like. He told me that he could finish the brick work and cracks for an additional $5,000+ dollars. I said I would not pay to have that work completed. I told him I would have to get someone to tear out the work as it had just been started. The whole experience was misleading and I still ended up paying $960.00 for a couple of the original repairs that I did want done. The work that was done was good but what a misrepresentation from the company in order to force additional work from customer.

I as I recall ma’am I reached out to you several times to try to honor the coupon that was in the Austin area and tried to group you together with several other people at the same time. As you indicated we did show up a day prior to starting any work or charging you a dime to assess the situation. You conveyed to me some of the things you were concerned with for instance the major cracking in the driveway to the right of the garage as we pulled up was the first thing you noticed. We did get started the next day as agreed and you knew our start time via phone call. we did call you and tell you we were on the job and the time we actually started the clock. We took care of the priorities that you had said needed to be done first and had time to start a sample to show you an area of brick that had no cap on the top we did the area just to the right side of the garage and took it as far as the coupon would allow. However if You had read the fine print on the coupon it specifically states eight man hours so if there are three men on the job that’s 2.75 hours which we did by the time you got there. When you got there you indicated you wanted some additional things done we gave you a price what you agreed to before we finished that so we moved forward and did the additional work we and you gladly paid us I’m so sorry to hear that yourself like you were taken advantage of in anyway it certainly wasn’t our intention to cause you any hurt by the way the work we did does Carry as I said a five year warranty there was an additional 60 feet of wall that needed to be finished out to The brick we gave you a price as per bed you declined and we walked away I hope you can find a good Mason to finish up those repairs because of course for us to drive four hours one direction to get to your job before the time even starts were at a loss to ever do business with you again in addition to that you have added insult to injury by implying that we missed lead you in anyway which we did not. However you did imply the work we did looked good. It was as all our work excellent and can’t tell where those cracks even were. I thought we’d at least get an A from you because when you arrived the first thing you complimented us on was how good that particular area looked and you couldn’t even tell it had been patched. NEVER DO WE OR DO WE FORCE ADDITIONAL WORK FROM ANY CUSTOMER. You were treated with the same process we use with every customer. Bottom line our coupon gifts you the first $400 to get your project at your home started at 1/2 price. We can’t stay in business working whole jobs at 1/2 price of course as in your case we had hoped you’d appreciate the length 4 Hour drive to get there and the $400 we gifted you Via coupon. Of course there are always people like you that expect unrealistic expectations . We do however wish you all the best moving forward.

Work completed was done well. BUT, they reviewed my home for other issues (which was good). In the course of that they told me it would take another 8 hours to complete which they told me they could provide for the same amount that I had with Angies list. I had no way to know if the additional hours were needed so trusted the info given. However they finished in the 8 hours that I had 'purchased' with Angies list. The on-site person handed me a bill for the additional amount which I refused to pay since they did not spend any additional time beyond the Angies list hours. I called to the 'office' and they told me to pay the original amount. Good work but not trustworthy!!

Response from Leak Trackers
Let’s start with the consultation which you admit “was good” the reasoning behind us providing that part of the service is to identify issues your not aware of and show both source and result of issues then provide solutions. Which as I pointed out to you case by case. I’m aware you learned a few things in the 1 hour I was personally there. That’s why I was shocked at the tail end of this drama to hear you told my two Guy’s Terry’s time doesn’t count. Now let’s get down to the nuts and bolts of this. The crew was feverishly working on the job @ hand as I was explaining to you the findings of my inspection when I made you aware the job @ hand was going to exceed the coupon. How much we agreed $310. a verbal estimate you agreed you wanted the entire retaining wall. finished this was an estimate based on our regular rate which the Big Deal specifies in plain English. Out Big Deal is exactly that after Angie gets her cut out hourly rate is reduced to exactly $32.00 per hour. That is almost a 70% deduction we can’t afford to be in business @ that rate so this the additional money for additional work and materials normally helps the bottom line. Now let’s look at your job. The boys were on your job from 12:15 to 5:00 two guys that totaled 9.5 hours then the material charge of $100 total then the 1 hour I spent with you. My math is 10.5 hours 10.5 - 8 = 2.5 overage above the coupon @ $100 per hour that’s $250 + the additional material of $50 = the additional $310 we had originally agreed upon. So when you called me @ 5:00 and told me with an elevated voice you weren’t going to pay anything above the original coupon and my guy was trying to rip you off. I took the high road and understood you were thinking you were actually purchasing an additional coupon. Rather than argue with you and threaten you with a mechanic lien I said fine let’s move forward knowing our Big Deal rate just dropped to $23 per hour instead of having solace in that you’ve now added insult to injury by giving us a misleading review and actually D rated our price. UNBELIEVABLE however I will accept your apology if you offer one and remove this review. It would be nice if you could actually humble yourself and admit your hotheadedness and it was all a misunderstanding by paying the actual balance due. I don’t expect this to be the outcome because by nature it’s difficult to take the High Road.

initial call was fine. I had concerns about the integrity of the dry wall that was going to be covered with brick. Terry came over to see the job , and did not show any concern about it., but he informed us that the job is more than the$179 coupon for 4 hours of labor that we purchased and it will cost $3000. We didn't think that the work would take that long so we opted for an hourly work at the rate of $100 per hour. At the end of two days of work terry charged us for 44.5 man hours . saying at times he had 3 people working at the hourly rate of $100. He charged us $100 for the trip charge to buy supplies!! Also said he didn't wanted to accept a credit card. When he was questioned to explain the charges he became very loud and disrespectful. Couple of times we had to point out errors in the work to be corrected.
Description of Work: We enlarged some windows previously and the brick needed to be put back on the walls around the windows. it seemed like a small job as the windows were enlarged twice the size of the original windows and it was only a small area of trim around the windows needed work.

When we arrived at the job we originally gave you a bid for the wall at $3000 and even went as far as dropping it to $2600, you denied both offers and instead talked us into combining coupons at 12 man hours at less than half price something we never do and working the rest at our man hour rate. As stated in the fine print of our coupon, all hours are in man hours, so 2 people working for 2 hours is the equivalent of 4 hours. This was no simple job as we had to cut 185 bricks to fit properly, on top of this you added on additional work by having us remove bricks from the side of your home and replace them. When we went to invoice the job you had complaints about a worker mixing the mortar in a wheelbarrow which is all part of a job like this and when we left we made sure to leave your backyard clean. We have also uploaded pictures of both jobs to the storefront to show how involved a job like this is and how it is not a simple 4 hour job. I was blown away when we met and that you thought a four hour coupon would cover a job of this scale, it was one of the most unrealistic things that I have ever heard. We hope that the project itself was to your satisfaction.

Thank you for your review. It always pains me to see someone taken advantage of with what I call sub standard construction. As I pointed out people like James Hardie have specific instruction on how Hardie Board is to be installed because they’ve done the math and saw what failing to follow specific instructions results are. Unfortunately most contractors don’t follow them because either they don’t know and are a novice or they flat out don’t care about doing the extra steps because it’s extra work and realize the homeowners don’t know the difference. This is only one of many materials on a home so as you can imagine there are hundreds of opportunities to be taken advantage of. Few things worse than throwing good money after bad so that’s the reason I didn’t charge you a consultation fee and won’t charge you if I need to meet with your previous contractors and school them on there craft. When one claims to be a homeowners advocate someone may need to back it up. Let us know if I need to show up with my boots on.

After couple of months of going through several companies to get this issue resolved without any luck, I finally found Leak Trackers on Angie's List. It took exactly 3 visits, but these guys fixed our issue. How do I know? We tested the window with a high pressure washer gun. I don't think the details of how they got this issue resolved really matter, it's a long story, what counts is the final result and I'm extremely happy. Terry, the owner of the company, is very knowledgeable and customer service oriented. I will definitely call these guys back for any water leak issues.

Terry, Cory and the team were very responsive, they surveyed the house to understand the issue on the same day I called them. They came back on the day promised with the material required and fixed the issue. The fix nicely blended in with the original wall and is almost invisible. Very satisfied and will use them again.
Description of Work: Pillar supporting the roof at the entrance to the house was cracked which was not only visually unappealing but also potentially a structural issue

This was a stubborn leak and required them to come out three times. They did so, with no hesitation. The follow-ups were at no additional chage.

Thank you for the review. Again thanks for giving us the opportunity to work out the root of the problem. Some are especially useful difficult to get but your patience was greatly appreciated. I guess if it was easy everyone would be doing it. Let us know if you need any further assistance.

We did not try to upsell anything. Upon arrival we observed a home as large as a Walmart supercenter the exterior surface of all natural stone. Furthermore we noted previous masonry repairs done in the last couple years already failing again and not matching the original color. I assured the wife our repairs not only wouldn't fail but would match perfectly. I informed her the cracks were a symptom of a water intrusion problem initially but now because of all the cracks that started on the third floor running down to the ground floor the process of structural failure had begun and fixing the symptom and leaving the sources would not help and we couldn't offer our 5 year witty. without repairing it all. Incidentally this is a 5 million dollar home nestled in the rolling hills of a city 4 Hours drive time from our city in a community of homes from 2-10 million. Thus the need for perfection and absolutely no warranty issues. She told us we'd have to talk with her husband and got him on the phone I conveyed all the info starting with the fact every single window 65 to be exact were leaking because the builder had used silicone to seal them and they all needed to be sealed with polyurethane then we could begin the repairs to all the mortar cracks. Told him the price and he invited us to leave his property. I'll tell you what's nuts not listening to professional free advice as his castle is literally crumbling around him. His priority obviously is the bottom line so a tip of the hat to you good sir. Believe me hire another clueless novice and you'll get exactly what you've paid for again. Best regards

Terrible! He never fixed the leak. The leak was worse after his fist attempt to work on our home. After charging us $1200!! We had video of water pouring into our home after he claimed it was fixed. Then he returned to fix it again. He claimed it was now right & would not leak when it rained. However, the very irst time it rained, the same leak occurred. We called, left repeated voicemails, & texted him but he never returned our messages. He did not fix the leak & will not own up to his terrible work! Working with him was a nightmare! We now have to find another company to fix PROPERLY fix the leak! And pay more money to another company to redo his crampy work! We showed the video of water pouring into our home to the insurance company inspector & even he was shocked that the company claimed to have fixed the leak! We were referred to this company by a window replacement service & have contacted that company to inform them of how terrible this referral was! Do not use this unprofessional & unknowledgeable company!!

The perfect storm: Leaktrackers was held hostage by this fella. On 6/10/17 we had first contact with Mr [Member Name Removed] whom had many issues but a very limited budget. We gave him a very good deal for $1200.00 we agreed to do. 1. Complete restoration of 5 Second story windows. 2. Interior frame restoration Of 19 sash windows. 3. Complete restoration Of brick mailbox structure. Over $2000 value for $1200 Leaktrackers finished the project on 6/20/17 Leaktrackers does payroll weekly so on 6/27/17 Mr [Member Name Removed] check was turned in for deposit. On 6/28/17 it rained on 6/30/17 our bank notified us there was a stop pay on Mr [Member Name Removed] check. We called our lawyer who suggested we file against the property. On 7/3/17 we contacted called Mr [Member Name Removed] to discuss the issue. He informed us he had stopped payment because a window on the 1st floor had leaked when it had rained on 6/30/17 WHAT? Normal people when having a service issue would call the service provider. Mr [Member Name Removed] informed us before he would pay us for the previous work we would have to seal the exterior of a window we hadn't previously touched repair the interior Sheetrock and seal and paint the water stains. Leaktrackers finished those repairs On 7/15/17 and he payed with a check that was taken to the bank immediately. On 7/18/17 the check cleared our bank. YES it was resolved amicably. On 8/5/17 Mr [Member Name Removed] called again with the same window leaking. REALLY? When he stopped payment on the initial work and held us hostage until we did extra work free of additional charges we outside of lawyers and eventually court didn't have many options. However we do reserve the right to refuse service to anyone we feel like and Mr [Member Name Removed] definitely put himself into that category. Thank you for the review and the opportunity to show the general public. When making fruitcake nuts are a part of the recipe.
