My husband was very unsatisfied with them, he felt basically that we paid $149 for them to just come out and give us a quote, They did come and all they did was come and give us a quote for the repair, they did say they will take the $300 off the repair but the $149 just basically paid for them to come and give us the quote. The gentleman came out and just basically started they didn't even bring a tape measure or anything just came out and immediately started writing stuff down and just told him it would be $700 to fix the little crack he wanted fixed in the brick wall and he told him that was unacceptable and when he started when he told him he immediately started backtracking on the price and then my husband told him to to leave.

It went well. They were here and I needed to get it done. Quality seems to be top notch. They were very responsive and good. The only issue was I thought they were a little expensive. I would probably not because of price, I thought they were overpriced but the work was fine.

Thank you for your review. We may be a little overpriced for some, however, we're able to fix the problem while making it cosmetically pleasing to the eye. They were good to communicate with, and showed up early. I purchased one of their deals to fix missing/cracked mortar in a large brick mailbox, plus replace a couple of the bricks that were missing, and they did a very good job with all of the work, and worked hard to match the mortar color as best as possible. Their main focus of business is on leak detection and leak prevention for the whole house, and they did provide me a complete overview of all areas of my entire home that they felt may be potential needs for leak prevention in the future, and gave me associated pricing for it if/when I ever decide to pursue in any of it. While I'm not aware of any leaks in my home today, I do believe some of the issues they raised would be smart preventative maintenance in the future, and may very well contact them at some point to address certain areas. I was using them this visit for the mailbox repair only, but I do believe that they are experts in finding and correct leak issues in homes.

The attention to detail, quality of work and level of service was exceptional. Corey and Martine were very professional and did the repair work as if it were their house. Leaks have been sealed and we are very pleased with the outcome. If we have a leak on another house we own in the future, I will hire Leak Trackers to make the repairs.

Terry Clyde is rude, impatient and extremely unpunctual. After getting paid, he did not return phone calls, missed scheduled appointments. One more disturbing characteristic of Terry is impudence. He never even bothered to knock at the door or ask for permission to enter my property. He and his crew just barged into my back yard at 7:00 AM (!!). After the so-called "leak repair" I had to call Terry numerous times, leave him messages and beg to come back to fix the water leak that he already worked on. I had two more of Terry's visits, which resulted in nothing. So 6 months and $1800 later I had the same rain water leak and one brick wall with some spots on mortar covered with Terry's "solution" (he calls it that). The 5 years warranty promised by Terry Clyde turned out to be fake. I finally hired a true leak detection professional, who quickly found a leak on my roof and fixed it for a small fraction of a cost that I paid to Terry Clyde. Please note that at the time of the service Leak Trackers did not posess any technology allowing them to discover or track any leaks. Terry always goes by his experience, as he like to call such approach. Using experience and common sense is a good thing, but you must have right tools for the job. Don't be fooled by the "Leak Trackers" name. They cannot physically track any leaks, unless those leaks are obvious and easy to spot. Terry's attitude is absolutely unprofessional. He does not know how to talk to people or how to treat a customer. When people have water leaks in their homes they are stressed and devastated. Terry Clyde cashes on their pain. Leak Trackers company name and domain name leaktrackers.com are very promising, but the company service does not match that name and does not stand behind its promises. Stay away from them by all means.
Description of Work: I had a rain water leak in one part my house. Terry Clyde stopped by for evaluation and promised to take care of the leak, which as he stated was coming through cracks in mortar. Terry did not have any tools, gauges or technologies for tracking leaks inside our outside the house. He went strictly by his instincts, which badly failed him this time. After three attempts, my leak was still there. I ended up hiring a professional, who found and corrected the leak in the valley on my roof.

I received a call back from one of the employees apprising me that there is an $85.00 service/consultation fee to have someone come by just to provide me with an estimate but they were currently running a special through Angie's List whereas I could, as the rep said and I quote, "could get some of the work done". I informed her I wasn't looking for a contractor to charge me $85.00 to come out and do "some of the work" I needed done. I also informed them how I can see why their company only gets a "B" grade instead of an "A", but I can't believe Angie's List would even offer a special through this company, much less endorse them.

Your review informs me you did not understand the conversation. $85 is our consultation fee which only provides you with an [Member Information Removed], not to get any work done. The special we are running is $149 for $300 worth of work which guarantees "some of the work gets done" at the special rate & if your job ran over the coupon, you would pay us directly for the difference at the regular rate discussed before we start the job. Had we gotten there & you decided we weren't right for the job, Angie's List would refund you what you paid them for the coupon. I was attempting to help you save a little bit of money by informing you of your options before scheduling your first appointment with us. -Amanda

All they did was fill the gaps between the bricks with caulk. We found out because we had roofers out because of hail damage that we had during some storms. All of the people we have had come out have all said that the repairs were done wrong. They said that the people that fixed it (Leak Trackers) took the cheap route and did a patch job. When Leak Trackers came out the first time, we thought they had made real repairs, not just band aid work.

LeakDetectors promptly scheduled with me and came to my house at the scheduled time. I explained what I needed to have done and they agreed it was a small job that they could easily handle. One mason got busy with the work I contracted for. The other gentleman said that their main line of work was assessing fault points where water could enter my home and went about assessing my home. Because my job was small, I didn't complain for him doing that (I paid for 2 men performing work for an hour each, not one man doing work while another gave me a bid on other work). After almost an hour, I went outside to look at the work (it was fine) because I had a conference call in the next few minutes. I will say that they did seal around my door and sidelights because they and seen that the caulk was looking ragged. I appreciated that. What I did not appreciate was being told that I owed a $75 "materials" fee. I informed him that I had not agreed to any materials fee and had prepaid for the work contracted via Angie's List. He said: "I don't really know if the materials fee is listed on the Angie's List Storefront." (Huh? You don't know your own listing?) When I pulled it up on my iPad and showed him there was no mention of a "materials fee," he did agree to waive the fee. What was truly unbelievable was the "water proofing" he bid on my home was almost $12,000! I do have a window filled house, that's true, but almost $12,000? I could replace most of my windows for $12,000! And the "bid" for $12,000 was on a sheet of notebook paper pulled out of a notebook (ragged edges and all), with 3 lines scrawled on it, for the Grand Total. I was not impressed with that kind of professionalism. Bottom line: I got the job I needed done, but because of the "materials fee" issue and the highly priced, unprofessional "bid, I wouldn't do business with this company again. They are really looking for much more lucrative work than masonry repair work. I wish them good luck.

We are sorry you feel this way & for any confusion. The materials fee is $50.00 and was in the fine print. And yes, he is correct that mason coupons is not what we strive to do (especially when we are NOT masons but a leak tracking company), it is his job to try to sell you on additional work if you do in fact need it. We are a small family owned business who haven't come up on the technology aspect so the paper you are describing is his notes before writing something official out. If the bid was for $12,000 then that alone tells me he found quite a few problem areas. I would still encourage you to address them with another company, as it will only continue to get worse with time. -Amanda

Awful. Bait and switch job. I told them I needed a crack above my window. They wanted to charge me 740. They fixed two cracks, stayed less than an hour. We're terribly proud of that like they did me a big favor for using their coupon. They charged me an extra 50$ for ' materials'. I will never use them again or Angie's List for referrals. Awful.
Description of Work: I bought the 149. ( alleged 300. Value) pkg to fix a leak above a bay window. When they got here they blathered on about other cracks and told me it would be 740. Repair the mortar I hired them to fix. It was a bait and switch. The first contact on the phone was a woman who was horsey on the phone. I won't have them back. Shame on Angie's list for recommending them. They were here less than an hour, fixed two cracks, charged me 50. For materials.

I assure you this is no "bait & switch." The amount you were quoted would be if you had wanted to address the other issues that were found in addition to the job you called us out for. If you look at your purchase it states there'd be a material charge which is what Angie's List put in there, not us. We fix cracks like yours all the time, while you may have expected us to be there longer for the amount of money you spent, I can assure you it will no longer be an issue for you to deal with, but considering you do have other issues Cory "blathered" on about you're going to want to find someone who will fix that up to your expectations & hope it won't be an issue any longer. As for the responsiveness grade, my records show you made your purchase on 1/20/16, I responded the same day to get you scheduled, & Cory came out on 1/28/16 per your instruction at scheduling. Additionally, you left this review on 1/28/16 & I am responding to it for all to view on 1/29/16. I've been told I'm not loud enough but the way you say I sounded is a first. Let me tell you what I think isn't "cool"...when you indicated we had given you an estimate for minimum 8k to fix your roof. In fact we never got to a bid on yours because we were thinking of bringing in our specialist to work it up. When I told you of a neighbor of yours who had 3 fireplace structures that all needed repair #1 was a wood structure and had to be rebuilt because of rotted siding and trim then prepared and painted. #2 was brick and mortar voids that allowed water to get behind flashing. Both #1 were repaired. But #3 was especially challenging becasue the new roof with beautiful shingles had to ultimately be removed after first trying and sealing all the surface materials , bricks ,mortar, flashing,cap... Often times we have underlying issues that require demo of sometimes new sub standard construction to resolve the "leak"@ that point you asked me how much was the neighbors job I replied around 8k but yours had a fireplace with a hidden valley that clearly had to be reworked thus I would feel better having our specialist work you a bid for that when you told me you had 2 different roofers tell you the valley flashing was fine... In other words telling me you doubted I was right. That was the point we honored the coupon and left. I'm confident you have an issue that has been an issue for a long time that was obvious from the damage on the interior I'm also confident it probably only leaks under certain conditions in addition I'm also confident the work we did didn't repair your problem but until the conditions are right and it leaks again I guess it's just a theory that I'm not at liberty to divulge because the way I was treated in your review to make it seem as though you were done wrong wasn't COOL...

I ordered the Leak Tracker's offer through Angie's List on a Saturday evening ($168 for $300 worth of masonry work). I was surprised that they contacted me on Sunday, so I was pleased with that. However, the lady I spoke to (that time and every subsequent time) sounded like she was eating and either asleep or out of it. Very slow, "out-of-it" type speech...not professional at all. I dismissed it on Sunday because I figured that might be her day off. However, every conversation I had with her after that was the same. They were scheduled to come Friday at 8:00 a.m., but I really needed them ASAP as we were having flooding issues. They ended up being able to come on Thursday afternoon, so I was thrilled about that. Terry first showed up (pulled up on the curb in front of my neighbor's house). Right off the bat, his personality was very abrasive. I took him the back porch to show him where the problem was. Our home had flooded 4 times and we were fairly certain is was due to masonry issues between the slab and the brick. We had watched the water come in from the under the wall (no water was ever apparent on the ceiling or walls). I showed him the area and he immediately started pointing out "fractures" in my windows that are less than 5 years old. He claimed that they could easily be leaking, they were installed wrong, etc. He pointed out a minor crack between the bricks up under the overhang. I told him that crack needed to be fixed, but I didn't think the water was coming in from there. During this conversation, Corey showed up. Corey wore dark sunglasses and never removed them to make eye contact with me (that's poor customer service in my opinion). Terry proceeded to tell Corey all of the things he had gone over with me and how there were countless little areas that he would need to address in order to warrant his work (insignificant areas). I told him that with the amount of water coming in, there was no way it was coming from 1, 2, or 3 hairline "window fractures" (which, by the way, are not an issue at all -- I had a window specialist come out and confirm the windows were fine, were installed properly, and are functioning as intended). I asked what they would do across the bottom of the brick where it meets the slab and Corey said, "We can put some caulk across there." When I pressed for more detail (because I knew that's where the problem was), he added it was "polyurethane" caulk. That would've been the extent of work in that area. Terry's personality was rubbing me the wrong way. I am in the customer/client service industry and I know how treat customers/clients. I had red flags going up everywhere. I told him (in a polite voice), "What I don't want is for you to fix a tiny thing here, a tiny thing there, and little thing here, and the next thing I know it's $800. That would p*** me off." He raised his voice to me and said, "What I don't want is to get a call that your house has flooded again. THAT would p*** me off!!" He then said, "Corey, tell her what it would cost." Corey then jotted down some stuff and said it would be $1320. I told him I needed to go inside and call my husband to see what he said. When I went inside, the contractor who was working on my kitchen said he had overheard almost every word because Terry had raised the window to show me how "it's not draining properly" (which was also untrue). The contractor was shocked at the way Terry had spoken to me and said he thought he was full of crap. During my phone call to my husband, both Terry and Corey went around the house to the front and Terry got in his truck. My husband and I decided to get a second opinion. When I walked out to let them know, Terry tore off speeding down the street. He didn't step out to speak to me at all. I asked Corey, "Did he just leave because he's mad?" He said, "That was the best thing for him to do." ??? What?? He didn't have anymore class than that??? I then asked Corey if he could itemize each of the expenses. He asked what I meant by itemized. I said, I would like to know how much it costs to fix each "window fracture" (which was $200+ each), and the cracks, etc. His notes looked like something he just scribbled down and there was not a good explanation for the costs. I politely shook his hand, thanked him for coming, and told him we would like to get a second opinion. I would NEVER, NEVER, NEVER (I can't stress that enough) recommend Leak Trackers to anyone. They seemed like shady, shyster salesmen. We ended up fixing the problem ourselves (it WAS across the bottom of the brick). Had I allowed them to fix the unnecessary things they were focused on and only put a bead of caulk across the bottom, I feel certain we would've flooded this past weekend. It's not too often that I feel so strongly about NOT using a company, but I can't stress enough how unpleasant and unprofessional my experience was with them. Forget the fact that they have a big truck with the fancy wrapped logo on it. There was nothing professional about them at all.

Our review history is as follows your F THEN ABAAAACAABAAAAABAADAFAAABABBA.... It doesn't take a degree in rocket ships to see there isn't a history of people displeased with any facet of our company or how it's run so when a long winded know it all like yourself comes down the pipe I Terry don't have a problem outing your embellished Bullcorn... You had a issue with our dispatcher "very unprofessional" ever concider she may be a handicapped? As in regards to your window fella who obviously told you what you needed to hear "your 5 year old windows are fine"... I wouldn't be surprised if you were silly enough to call the original idiot who installed them. I observed open sides fractures as well as screws in the water tight sub-terrainenian drain. You just really pulled a cord with myself when you minimized all the "minor issues" I was pointing out when I explained I we warrant a leak over a new wood floor we must repair all or none when you indicated it better not be over $800.00 or you would be "pissed off" I realized you were a total waste of time. Unfortunately we at that point couldn't even charge you for a consultation which is a STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE. Any contractors reading this heads up guys this ones a fruit loop steer clear if you can... Any homeowners reading this look at the scales and you can clearly see 99 percent of our people are quite pleased with us .

It was okay. They didn't solve everything I wanted them because they told me that it wasn't part of the service. They didn't charge more. They were professional and nice. They came right on time.
Description of Work: I purchased a big deal from them. They sealed some cracks on bricks and masonry.

Leak Finders provided a flat rate estimate for work without detail of time and/or materials. Gave quote of $950 and I commented that it seemed really high but I had no reference. Two guys worked about two hours. The contractor asked for check rather than other form of payment (credit card). I asked about the difference of $360 'value' vs the $225 paid to book appointment. He said there was no $135 discount from the bill as value and there was confusion between he and Angie's List about that. 'If I had expected a discount then he would have just billed me more'. It rained a few days later and the leak continued unaffected. I called him. He returned to the house with no one at home. Did some 'other' patch' and determined that the leak was beneath the shingles and not within his scope of ability. Said he would refer me to a roof specialist. In short what he did fixed nothing. That is my opinion, the opinion of the roofer who installed my roof a number of years ago and came to trouble shoot, and the opinion of the insurance adjuster who came to review for a claim. Also no one can justify the cost of $950 for the work done by time and/or materials. 11/27 Four plus inches of rain in the past 24 hours and the fireplace continues to leak. Angie's List has taken no action. 12/17 We still have issues to be resolved with the original water concern. Let's just call this a conflict of personalities between the contractor and myself. Angie's List returned the $225 for the coupon used..
Description of Work: Sealed the roof surround the chimney/roof junction. Caulked 'holes and gaps', in chimney mortar. installed sheet metal diverter on roof above chimney.

On our initial assessment we discovered many large cracks in brick and mortar the cap was good but needed additional flashing which we did for a set price with an allowance for the funds you had paid angieslist. In addition our observation of the surface we had access to see without removing shingles looked fine. Well it rained and the leak returned you left me your wife's number because you were out of town.after the rain we were double and triple booked and you had informed me after repeatedly calling you had put a stop pay on the check. I did go to your res. After attempting to call your wife with no response because trying to help you was a priority to me.i found underlying issues that I made you aware of and at that time told you I had put a temporary repair in place and asked you to remove the stop pay on the check or expect a mechanics lein on your property.hopfully you will find resolution soon.

We've had leaks in our garage and around a few windows that had been plaguing us for a while, all the attempts at fixing them hadn't worked. I called Terry and he went over every inch of the house inside and out. Our house has a concrete facade that had hairline cracks all over it, and he discovered some additional cracks and gaps where the balcony awning meets the house. He explained how the water was running down the side of the house then getting into the cracks and running between the facade and house wrap till it found an out. (the garage leak and windows) He recommended elastomeric paint on the house to seal the existing cracks and prevent new ones from forming, replacing the hail damaged polycarbonate sheeting of the awning, and properly sealing the frame of the awning. Since the house had an unfinished weathered concrete aesthetic we were very apprehensive to do this and concerned it would drastically change the look of the house. Terry was beyond patient with us, explaining the benefits and reassuring us that he'd be able to make a close match to the main concrete color. We agreed to the elastomeric and awning repairs, and Terry and his crew got to work. Our house has numerous challenges (3 stories, surrounded by trees) and they tackled them like champs. He was always willing to answer questions and address any concerns we had, and always had a smile even though I know this had to be a beatdown of a job. The house is done now and it looks amazing. The color is perfect. It still looks like concrete, but pristine new concrete instead of beat up stained cracked concrete. The awning is wonderful, I knew it was in rough shape before but I didn't realize how bad it was till it was repaired. It's like we have a brand new house! We lucked out and got some rain right after it was finished, and no leaks! I absolutely recommend Leak Trackers, Terry and his crew are friendly, professional, and absolute masters of what they do. They went above and beyond repairing our house, I can't thank them enough for what they've done.
Description of Work: Repaired a damaged balcony awning, found and repaired literally thousands of cracks and leaks in the concrete facade of our house, resealed windows. Tested the integrity of repairs by manually flooding problem areas and verified success.
