Sure your not comparing apples to oranges? I,ve been in the buisness a while and dont know of any company that does what we do I personally developed the process we employ. seems to me you got a good $50 and i got the short end. It went great. Terry and his crew, Crowe and Cory were very professional. Did a complete walk around and I told Terry my major concerns. He showed me and explained in detail what his professional opinion was on what needed to be done. I purchased the special, 4 hours of Brick/Masonry repair for $225.00. I did not plan on getting the whole house repaired but felt comfortable and confident with Terry and his crew. Terry and his crew worked continuously from 8:15 a.m until they completed the job at 3:30 p.m. In addition to doing the brick work, Terry cleaned out my gutters and screwed in a piece of metal flashing that had come undone from a recent siding job I had done. They went over and above what I expected. They made sure I was pleased with the color match and had to do several different mixes for different sides of the house. They cleaned up after they completed and we did a walk around after they were finished. I am extremely happy with the work they did. They were smiling as much as I was at the results. With the excellent work they did, I do not think I will need to utilize the 5 year warranty I was provided. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing brick/masonry/tuck-pointing work done on their residence or business.
Description of Work: Replaced mortar on expansion gap on house, and numerous joints and cracks, around windows, and siding joints. Removed dead cables and security wiring from bricks and plugged those holes.

Terry immediately contacted me to setup a time to come to our home. He was ready to start the very next day but since it was the holidays I was out-of-town but as soon as I returned and contacted Terry he came out the next day. He did a fantastic job. Our brick veneer looks as if it was never cracked. After the repair Terry spoke to my husband and explained all the detailed work that they performed and that it was a good thing that we got it fixed because we could of had a lot of water damage behind the veneer. He was very professional the whole entire time. We will definitely call upon Terry again if we are in need of his services. Tina

I got a deal from Angie's list for 4 hours of masonry work. The owner told my husband that fixing retaining walls isn't what they normally do, but would complete the work. The wall looks like nothing happened to it. Great work!

My experience with Leak Trackers was great! Terry responded quickly to my purchase of his coupon on Angies List. He worked with me on scheduling the job. The quality of his work was excellent. He also did an overall inspection of other possibilities that might have caused my problem at no additional cost. Thank you Terry and thank you Angies List! Della M

We initially purchased the inspection to address a leak issue we have by a roof dormer. We've had other companies come out to identify where the leak was coming from and they weren't able to identify the issue. Terry and team were able to pin point the issue. They also pointed out some construction flaws by the chimney that they recommend we fix. My understanding was that these were recommended fixes and not necessarily required fixes. His team then took an assessment of the whole house indicating several places where they needed to replace the grout as well as window sealing work that he recommended. The total for the whole house was approximately $9300, but with the whole price, a 10% discount would be rendered. To deal with the dormer leak and the chimney was $3800. We're not sure how unreasonable this is, but we really only needed the leak by the dormer to be fixed and we never received a quote for that isolated repair. The "whole house" quote was, quite frankly, very expensive, and it was never clear to us what the job entailed. Was it a 100% grout replacement, 50% or some lower percentage? We felt so uncertain about the estimates that we got a second opinion on the dormer leak. At the end of the survey, Leak Trackers presented us with the $9300 estimate, but nothing was provided in report form and we had to ask for a break down of the estimate. This was very high level and lacked detail, in our opinion. We would like to point out that Terry was very responsive to our request and promptly showed up at the scheduled time. Later follow ups with him was always answered in a timely manner. We're sure that Leak Trackers does a good job, which is reflected by the many positive feedbacks. At the end of the day, the quote was simply too expensive and we didn't have a good understanding of what benefit there was in moving forward with the recommended fixes.

The work was done well, and we're happy with it, but we were not overly happy with the number of men we were paying to stand around and watch while the main person did the work. We bought Angie's List Big Deal "$225 for 4 Hours of Masonry/Concrete Repair! " and 3 guys arrived to replace our mailbox in the brick enclosure. Since the job really only requires one person at any given point in time, we essentially lost 2.5 man hours of time while the other guys stood around and watched the owner of the company pull out the old mailbox and put in the new one. Because of that, I think it was a bit pricey to pay $225 to pull a mailbox out and put another one in the same spot. Had we gotten any other additional mortar repair work done by the two other guys standing around, I wouldn't have had a complaint, but we didn't, so I'm not overly happy with what was paid vs. what was done.
Description of Work: Pull out the old mailbox from our brick mailbox enclosure and put a new, pre-purchased mailbox inside. Added some extra grout to the top of the brick mailbox enclosure to prevent water from seeping in again.

Work will be scheduled Dec. 2013 and January/February 2014
Description of Work: Company inspected the roof and other parts of my home which could be causing the leak in one of the bedrooms which is under dormers. The quote was for sealing several parts of the exterior or my home and mortar repairs to stop the leaks coming through. The roof was recently replaced and was not the issue. I will be contacting the company to do the most critical part of the work quoted before end of 2013. The second part of the work to be done in early 2014.

The guy came in and inspected and said he will do some work. He quoted me some price and I said okay. He said he will call me to come to do the work but he did the work without calling me so was not given a chance to negotiate the price with him. I ended up paying what he quoted me. He didn't give me an order that he will be coming on that day. He worked on the roof and nothing was leaking so I guess the work was okay.

BEST CONTRACTOR EVER!! After a recent rain we found a wet carpet in the corner of our bedroom. I looked for a foundation leak and couldn't find anything. That's when I came to Angie's List. I found Leak Trackers and purchased the Leak diagnosis special. Terry contacted me quickly and said he would be willing to rearrange his schedule to come out early the next morning before I left for work to look for the source of the leak. He was there before 7 a.m. with his crew. They were able to find the source of the leak (some improperly installed flashing under some shingle which had caused some rotted siding and allowed the mortar and brick work to fail allowing water to come into the house). He gave an estimate for the repairs. Terry also looked at the rest of the house to see if there were additional problems. He found the same problem in other parts of the roof, improperly secured flashing around vent stacks and the chimney, water damaged siding and missing caulk. We prioritized the work and Terry and his crew began that day. By the time I came home that night, the damaged siding and brickwork were repaired before the rain started the next day. Dry carpets! They came back the following week, finished the next set of work & repairs and then prepped and painted. They saved me thousands by preventing future major structural damage to my home. I can't say enough about Leak Trackers. They came, they saw and they conquered the problems. They were consummate professionals who know their stuff and I will trust them will my future home repairs. They were everything I could ask for in a contracting team and were courteous and friendly too. Thanks Angie's List for helping me find Leak Trackers, Terry and his entire crew. An absolutely positive experience!

Terry was prompt in replying to the request, set up an appointment for the next day and arrived on time. He and his worker did a great job and also brainstormed how my deteriorating bricks under 3 bay windows could be taken care of. I was impressed with their professionalism and expertise. I hired them to fix the window problem and complete the filling of cracks and holes in the bricks. I would hire them again without any hesitation.

After the foundation repair on my home had been completed I was in desperate need of having the multitude of mortar cracks repaired. After explaining to Terry that I was experiencing a significant amount rain coming into the home during recent downpour (yes, the cracks were that bad!) he was able to address my problem the next morning. I live by a lake in Texas and the homes surrounding the area are built on clay...good for a lake but not good for a home. During one of our droughts the undersized grade beam in front of the home cracked allowing the mortar joints to fail. A section of the brick approx 15' x 7' actually canted back towards the house at the top and out at the bottom approx 3/4 inch in each direction. This failure also impacted arches over 2 windows whereby the bricks had begun to dislodge at the perimeter of the arches. Obviously I had a serious problem to deal with. When Terry arrived they took the time to analyze the situation and initially thought that the problems were so significant that I would need a brick mason to pull down the entire front of the home and rebuild. After more discussion Terry instructed his crew to bring tools from the trailer. In less than 5 minutes from the 'go crab the ladder' direction to his crew the canted brick section had been brought back into alignment. A lot of the mortar joints that had separated from the bricks had previously been repaired (some more than once). With the constant drought conditions TX faces quick mortar on mortar repairs are doomed to repeated failure. I discussed the problem with Terry and told him that I needed a repair with something that had more flex than mortar. He agreed and showed me their technique to solve the problem. For the majority of the minor issues they would widen the mortar joint and fill with an elastomeric compound tinted to the original mortar color and then sand the applied compound with a custom blended sand to mimic the texture of the original mortar. When removal of the mortar was necessary (along the joints of my once canted brick section) they removed the mortar, used a quick set in the joint and then once dry topped it with the elastomeric compound and sand. When bricks were cracked they filled and sanded the crack with custom colored materials. These guys are artist and have developed a good eye towards matching the existing conditions surrounding the repair, be it color or texture. At the point that I had exhausted the allotted contract hours of the Angie's List coupon I opted to have Terry's crew to complete all the other work needed on the front of the home. Simply put, Terry and his crew were nothing short of miracle workers! The front of the house looks amazing. And yes I will use them again for the remainder of the house! (And Terry, I have already passed your contact information on to a friend.) Thank you, thank you, thank you

I purchased a coupon on Angie's list for a leak inspection, knowing I had a problem. Some time lapsed from my first email to them but when I called for an appt they were quick to schedule me. The owner was prompt and explained their process. After the inspection they found a number of issues with the chimney & skylight flashing, windows not properly sealed and multiple gaps in the concrete between the bricks. I was walked through the issues and they were prioritized in order of importance as well as a cost estimate so that I could make a decision on how to proceed. I asked that all of the repair work be performed and the team started right away. The finished by the following day and walked me through some of the repairs as well.

This repair went smoothly and on schedule. I bought an Angie's deal for 4 hours of work knowing there was more time required to do all the repairs needed to the wall. I was contacted the day after I purchased the service and we scheduled for the following Monday. I was impressed that the initial project work was done quickly, with high quality, and professionally , so I decided to have the additional repairs done as well. The company was able to get the materials needed and completed the additional work all in the same day. I am very happy with the results and would hire Leak Trackers again with no hesitation.
Description of Work: Leak Trackers repaired damage to a brick wall caused by heavy tree limbs falling. Leak Trackers reset the bricks and mortar , stabilized the wall and the light fixture. After seeing the quality of the work, I subsequently hired them to remove loose concrete at the foundation on both sides of the brick wall and install a cement cap, and repair large splits and voids to the bricks around the home. They matched the color and texture of the original brick mortar.

Terry was awesome. He did a perfect job matching the morter so you could not see where the repairs were made. I've seen alot of bad repair work on older brick houses so I was quite nervous. He used a product that would prevent the bricks from cracking out again in that area. He was punctial, friendly, and quality-work. If I ever have a Leak in my house anywhere: roof, windows, doors, etc....I will call Terry!

We've had a leak in the ceiling for a while; it continues to get worse. We have had it looked at and others could not find a problem. So when we saw this offer on Angie's List, we decided to give them a try. They found the problem; they can fix part of the problem and gave us the name of a company that needs to fix the chimney first. We will call Leak Trackers back and have the remaining part fixed once the chimney is repaired. It was great to have our problem finally diagnosed so we can get it corrected. They were very timely and extremely nice. We had the chimney fixed (these folks do not do chimneys) now we need to call back so they can do the remaining of the work they gave us a quote to do. We will use these folks again!

What can I say except, WOW. Terry did an excellent job. I'm a Realtor and have been for 25 years and have never seen the kind of professional skill of repairing cracked brick lines and replacing mortar that Terry and his crew accomplished. It took him 2 complete days but he sealed all the gaps between the Fascia boards and the bricks and went around and redid mortar in all the brick work around the house. You can NOT tell where the crack lines were. I've seen plenty of houses where there is an obvious stair step cracking up and down the side of a house and although mine was not bad because there has been no foundation movement I still had mortar that had split out because the original builder had done such a terrible job of bricking the house. I would recommend Terry for ANYONE that wanted to make their brick work look like new. He fills in the mortar with painstaking detail, exact color matches and then throws sand at the still wet product so it looks like its the original mortar. It was more expensive then I would have liked but was really worth it and I know I will get that money back when I go to sell the house because it now looks like the builder built a better quality home.

Terry was wonderful. I placed an emergency call to him as my ceiling was leaking yet again due to the heavy rain and he was very responsive. I have had companies do repairs and the problem always comes back. He seemed very knowledgeable and did not mind explaining terms to me. I did not end up using his company as I was finally able to get in touch with a prior company from whom I still have a warranty. He then spoke with the other company's representative and relayed what he saw while it was raining. I will certainly contact Terry if my house springs other leaks!

This company provides a real niche service. He fixes leaks on roofs and around the home. Most roofers want to sell you a new roof. Terry does the repair work that others won't do. I had a leak caused by a tree branch and he patched it. Speedy service. Called him at 10 A.m and he was on another job. Came to the house at 12:00 noon and fixed the leak in less than an hour. Can't beat that service time. He suggested that the old roof had been put on with decking that was too thin and this could cause problems in the future.. Recommended a new roof---BUT he didn't offer to put it on because he doesn't do that type of work. So his suggestions were very creditable. He did give me the name of a roofer in the area, but didn't try to interpose himself in between us in order to make a buck as a middleman. It was so refreshing to deal with an honest guy who is willing to help a retiree instead of ripping him off. The cost was extremely reasonable. If you need a leak fixed in your home around the windows, gutters, flashing or wherever, you need to call this company.

I had a mysterious leak that several contractors had looked at but nobody had been able to reproduce it. We guessed at several possibilities and did some patching but it continued to leak whenever there was a big storm with a lot of wind. When the roof started leaking on the other side of the house we had enough and searched for top-rated roofers on Angie's List. We got bids from some of them and then Terry from Leak Trackers came out to do an assessment. He admitted that my leak seemed thorny enough to perhaps even jeopardize his 100% success rate, but he would apply all his expertise to locate it for a $200 investigation fee, which he would not take if he could not locate and reproduce the leak. In addition he did a thorough assessment of my house and came up with a list of things that needed attention to fix the known leak from the roof and prevent future leaks. He itemized the repair cost of each item on the list so I wouldn't have any surprises if I decided to have him do the repairs. It was a lot more money than I had been prepared to shell out so I had Terry work on locating the mysterious leak first to prove himself. I have to say Terry did an outstanding job. He was like a scientist! No guesswork here. He looked at the evidence, formulated hypotheses, tested them and eliminated them one by one until he hit pay dirt. He looked at pinhole mortar voids on my wall and suspected wind-driven rain getting inside my wall may not be properly drained out through weep holes because of incorrectly applied sheathing as evidenced by what he saw at the base of the wall. He used a small nozzle to force water through the mortar voids to simulate the amount of water that may come in during a big storm, and lo and behold, the amount of water coming out the weep holes was much smaller than what he put in. Some time later, water rising in the void between the brick layer and the inner wall got high enough to get above the step in the foundation and seep inside, exactly like what I observed during big storms. This demonstration gave me enormous confidence that his proposed fixes would finally stop my leak; that's $200 well spent for me right there. To address the situation, Terry patched all the mortar voids around the entire house (not just the wall that leaked) and applied a sealant to the leaking wall to keep the water out. He also drilled more weep holes at the base of the wall and even went so far as to take out a brick to show me what he meant about the incorrectly applied sheathing and how his repair would help 1) prevent or minimize water going through the bricks, and 2) drain out any water that does get in despite the best effort to keep it out. If it leaks again within 5 years Terry promises to fix it free of charge. I decided to go ahead and spend more money to do the roof and wall waterproofing Terry recommended earlier. His crew got to work the rest of the afternoon and all day the next day. I liked it that they pointed out to me items that they fixed and why, e.g. a gap that I hadn't even noticed, instead of just saying "we'll do whatever". I have to say Leak Trackers' prices are not the cheapest, but from what I can see they do very quality work and use high-quality materials. The patches around the roof cost about twice other bids I got from other Angie's List roofers, but to be fair Terry listed out a lot more things to fix than the other guys. And Terry himself did the work with 2 other helpers, unlike other companies where one guy comes and sells a repair but other guys do the actual work and who knows if they actually do exactly what the sales guy said they would do. If you have a leak nobody can find or fix, give Terry's Leak Trackers a chance and you won't be disappointed.
Description of Work: Found and fixed a difficult-to-locate leak. Fixed problem areas on the roof. Seal wall transitions around the entire house.

'Terry and crew arrived at 7 am sharp as planned . Terry did an inspection of the exterior of my home and made note of all the things needing attention. When done I was told the total for all needed repair would be about $6,000. My budget wouldn't allow all the work to be done at this time. So I walked around with Terry to prioritize the work and fit it into my budget . We settled on 1/3 of every thing for $2000. So the total was 2250.00 with the Angies List Big Deal coupon. At the end of the day everything looked so much better. We are planning a return visit in the spring These guys are A #1 in my book Thanks again.
Description of Work: Terry & his crew repaired broken bricks and mortar all around the base of my home and some previous work so it looked more pleasing to the eye. They also replaced a lot of missing and broken mortar around the front and back entrances. I had a 50 foot crack across the back of the house where the carport and the car port connect. The crack was an expansion joint where there is a lot of seasonal movement. Terry & crew filled the crack with a spongy feeling caulk that will keep the bugs and water out for sure and stay in place with the movement. The total job took almost 8 hours.
