We scheduled the appointment for 7:30AM for April 15, 2015. The contractor and his employees arrived in their caravan (truck wraps and all) at 6:30AM. It was still dark outside. Doorbell rang, I met with the contractor and showed areas where I needed brick mortar/tuckpointing service around the house. It was still dark outside, so it was pretty difficult to see. They fired up a very loud piece of equipment around 6:50AM, which I'm sure my neighbors loved. They mixed the mortar (pretty good match to existing) and patched around 24LF (around 3 areas of 8LF each) in total of mortar on one end of the house. The doorbell rang again at 7:30AM stating that time was up (probably 40 minutes of actual work). We took a look around the house where all deficiencies were pointed out to me, and I was offered a quote in excess of $5,500 to repair. A written estimate was not given, just flashed via a notepad. I declined, they packed up and left. That was the extent of my experience. I certainly didn't feel like I received "$300 worth of Masonry, Chimney, or Tuckpointing Service". The 6:30AM door bell ring was somewhat unprofessional, and I'm not sure how good of a job you can really do on brick mortar repair when it's dark outside. I've seen the owner respond to a lot of the negative posts on here regarding their service about "paying his guys $100/hour for 3 guys for 1 hour, thus the $300 value." There are professionals (accountants, financial planners, etc.) that charge $100/hour. Not sure that rate is really appropriate for brick mortar repair. Regardless, this is America, and businesses are free to charge what they want. Based on my experience I'll be soliciting additional mortar/tuckpointing repair bids elsewhere. * * * * * Update: Wow, what a professional response. I know exactly what time you came to my home and rang my doorbell. So does my wife- and she was furious. The fact that you would come on here and lie about it- well wow. "Clearly you have no idea what it takes to own and operate a business." I actually earned a 4-year degree at a major university in Business Development and Entrepreneurship, top honors of course. So, as a matter of fact, I know exactly what it takes to own and operate a business. "But then from time to time we run into people like you that don't have a clue." Do you treat all of your customers with this much respect, dignity, and grace? I'll let your response speak for itself. Just as an aside, I did have another contractor (who has excellent reviews on Angie's List) bid the same scope of work for $1,600. As a young and successful professional, please let me give you some professional advice: The customer is always the customer. Regardless of if you think the customer is incorrect, it may not be in your best professional interest to go around insulting people who paid for your service.

Very fast response. Arrived same day and addressed the issues. The mortar work looks very clean. I am very satisfied with the quality of the work. They tidied up after themselves. Everything looks good. Would recommend them to others.

This company goes beyond what is required to do a job. I totally recommend them. Excellent workers. Excellent job!!

The crew did good work but the deal was not what it seemed. The lead man gave me an estimate to repair all issues with my brick (which I thought was a bit high) and told me the reason for the deal was to get more business. I agree this is how business is we are all in it to make a profit but the feeling I got was a bit cold. I did appreciate the honesty. I would use them in the future but not before checking out another company.

Very well. THe leak was sporadic so may take time to test but they seemed to really know how to analyze the problem. Carol

I spoke to the vendor on Thursday and let him know what I wanted done. Repair top of chimney and replace brick missing where an window AC unit had been. The area for the window was 27" x 27". I asked him would coupon cover this cost. He told me the coupon was worth 3 hours of labor. I told him I would go to the Brick Company and pick up extra Brick needed for window. On Friday, I bought 27 bricks and called the vendor to let him know I had matched brick that was same color, but different size and he told me he would come on Saturday between 12 and 1:00. They arrived at noon, on time. I showed them the 2 areas needing repair. The estimator at this time told me the coupon was not enough. The cost for repair would be over $1600 to repair both areas. Only repair chimney as I could not afford window. 2 men mixed up the mortar and 1 man repaired brick on Chimney. He replaced 7 bricks. Estimator got my check for $160. and they were all gone within 1/2 hour. I feel cheated in the amount of work done and the outrageous estimate given.

Well organized, on time, clear estimate, and completed on time. Very satisified with results..

They didn't provide the type of masonary work I needed

The team showed up right on time at 8am on a Saturday morning, and immediately got to work repairing bricks. The completed repairs are nearly indistinguishable from the original brick, and extremely well done.

I was disappointed with the service.

I purchased a 2 hour package on Angie's List that ended up being 1 hour with two people. It ended up costing me twice what the original package deal was. He does really good work but with his prices you could buy new windows, not a joke! He does very good work. If he wasn't so exspensive I would have used him to do all the window on my house, that was my intent. I would use him again if he wasn't so overpriced.

They were good. I have a brick house. The mortar aged and we had to replace the areas of the damaged mortar. The big deal was for a basic of two hours worth of mason work. They ended up doing eight hours. I would recommend them.

My husband used his experience with building trades to prescreen this contractor. We knew the repairs would require more than what was covered on the Angie's deal. Foundation issues caused major cracks in the exterior brick. Work was completed punctually and professionally.

The quote given to me wasn't professionally done. I showed him what I wanted done he discribed how he would fix it , which was good. But he scribbled down a few things and turned to his hired men seeming to be ready to do the work right away. There was alittle pressure on accepting the quote. The price wouldn't have been a problem, but the lack of professionalism made me go for another organization to do it. There was nothing wrong with the inspection but the transition from the inspection to the quote and how he handled it from that point.

It turned out great. They are very thorough, very honest, and very punctual. They definitely have the expertise for what they do and the service they perform. We would recommend them.

In 45 yr old, 2300 sq ft home with 19 windows, the wind blew right through the house. Terry & crew removed old grout around doors & windows, repaced it with newer product which should not shrink like the old stuff. They also repaired exterior masonry cracks. The house seems much "tighter", the furnace is not coming on as often (it's maintaining the heat longer). The brick repair is virtually invisible, as they matched the current color on the wall. We expect to recover some of the cost via savings in heating costs. They were efficient, polite and punctual.

They gave me a very thorough inspection. They explained in detail where the problem areas were and everything that needed to be done to fix them. They also patched up some areas and I was very pleased with the results. If I had not seen the area before I would not have known which was the new area and which was the old Area. I especially was pleased with the way that they matched up the mortar with the old mortar that was there. That was a nice touch. I will definitely be calling them again for follow-up work.

It was fine. They did a good job. It seems like they came in and did what they said they were going to do. It was pretty much what I expected to have.

They were able to point out the most likely areas that were causing the problems but we did the work ourselves.

It worked out great. They came out within a couple of days. They were very prompt, prepared, did the work that day and made suggestions for other work that could be done.

It went very well. They went above and beyond what I expected and there were no additional fees associated with the deal.

Let's see - I cancelled the appointment and rescheduled. That was no problem whatsoever with Terry. Terry and his crew were there exactly on time. They were polite, helpful and performed the work beautifully. There were no additional charges and they were at my house for about an hour and a half. I'm sure I will need this kind of service again in the future and I will definitely call Terry. He's about as honest as they come, in my opinion.

I had a leak from my kitchen ceiling after a long rainstorm. I had Terry come and try and locate the source. He was able to come out the next day and arrived on time. He was very methodical about considering all possible sources even though they weren't easily accessible and eliminating them rather than just starting with the most likely. It turned out the problem is covered by exterior maintenance so I did not choose to let him repair it at this time. I also appreciated that he and his crew were considerate of my hardwood floors, which I didn't really expect from them. When I have rain related leaks in the future, I will definitely consider calling Terry again.
