Junk King Dallas

Site crew was unprofessional and rude, complained about the amount of junk (aren't they called Junk King?), didn't clean up as indicated. Will never use them again!

This is a service that is supposed to be $200 for which I paid only $99 + $8 tax so it was a good deal. The only "hickup" with the transaction was that I was told that I could leave the fence on the post and JunkKing would remove the fence themselves before loading it in their truck. I was given a 2 hour window for which they would complete the task. When they come the first time, however, I was told that it would cost me $470 in addition to what I had already paid ($99) to have the fence removed by them. I decided to do the removal myself for which I spent about 3 hours so in the end I didn't have to pay the additional $470. I am not sure but the total cost of $570 to remove a 65 ft fence (including another 20 ft section that I didn't remove) sounds a bit more costly than it should? Overall, I like the company, it's promptness and professionalism so here is another A for them.

The three fellows were very nice. However, I didn't know that I had to give them my coupon for $79 and I can't find it. They were fast and polite and my garage looks a lot better. They gave me their email address with the request that when I find my coupon I will email it to them. Does Angie's List have a copy of my $79 coupon for Junk-King?

They were professional in every way. They were very careful to protect our floors and door frames...not a scratcj!! They were capable, competent, pleasant and timely. I would highly recommend Junk King and will almost certainly be using them again.

It went well. They arrived in spite of severe weather warnings and heavy rain. They quickly removed junk from our garage and back deck. They were efficient, courteous and fast! We would definitely call on them again.

Arrived on time and were speedy on the job.

They were really late and did not call me to let me know. I was the last person of the day and the truck was pretty full so I am not sure I got my fair share of the truck.

Two men came on Thursday and viewed the large TV sets and said they couldn't remove them without a 3rd person. The lead person said they were not told that I had those large TV's. He was told my items were in the garage. And he said it would cost me more money to have the TV's removed. I asked him why should I pay more when I had an Angie's coupon. He said no one gave him that information. I told him when I called the 800 number to make the appointment, I let the person know that I am member of Angies list and that I gave him my Angies list coupon information. He rescheduled for Saturday at 8AM. After he removed the TV's, he said I owed 8.25% in taxes. I said that was not on my coupon and I was not going to pay extra money. He said in Texas you have to pay taxes on coupon services. I refused to pay and he called his supervisor. She told him not to insist on collecting the taxes. I have never paid taxes on coupon services. I will never use them again.

They did a fabulous job. They cleaned down my house and I was amazed. They took out a lot of my electronics like treadmill and my huge projection TV. They were fast, clean, efficient, friendly and helpful. They were great.

Everything went smooth except for the payment part.

I had a lot of construction debris, and metal fencing that needed to be hauled off. I also had some old tires, large heavy railroad ties formerly used as landscape timbers, an old cast iron tub and lost of miscellaneous junk that had collected around my barn over a period of years. I was tired of looking at it and knew it was too big of a job for me to handle safely by myself so I scheduled an appointment for an estimate on the Junk King website. The day of the appointment, the owner of the company called about 30 minutes ahead of her arrival to let me know she was on her way. She arrived on time and when I showed her the junk I wanted to have hauled off, she gave me an estimate of the cost. It was estimated to be a full truckload but she said that if it ended up being more then they would complete the job and not charge me any more. She was very nice during the visit and when she asked how I had heard about Junk King, I told her I had found her company on Angie's List and she offered me a 10% discount. The actual work was scheduled for the following day. The crew arrived on time. There were three employees and I pointed out where the piles of junk were and they went right to work. Some of the scrap consisted of some iron fence panels and an aluminum pasture gate that was longer than the length of their truck. They brought a reciprocating saw with them to handle this though and cut the metal into sizes they could fit onto the truck. As it turned out, this effort was more than one truckload. They filled the first truckload with the "throwaway" trash and debris from the barn while they separated out the metal and recyclable stuff into a different pile. I don't live too far from the landfill so two of the workers took the truckload of junk to the dump while the third stayed behind to finish cutting up the fence. When the truck returned, the remaining recyclables, scrap metal, a bunch of bulky old wire cattle and horse fence, and the tub went on. Then they swept up the driveway where the landscape timbers had been and tossed that in the truck as well. It was another full load. Junk King handled the job very well and they honored their quoted price even though it was for more work than originally estimated. Now all that junk is finally gone and I don't have to look at it or worry about it anymore - a big relief to me. They did a good job. I wouldn't hesitate to contact them again if needed.

We were ver pleased with the appiontment process. The staff was very helpful by phone and could come in the date we wanted. The day if the service we were called to let us know they could come early which worked great for us. They used the winch on the truck to get the materials into the truck (over 1000 sq ft of tiles, drywall, and other assorted construction debris). They were very polite and cleaned up the driveway after they had the main load in the truck.

They arrived on time. Backed the truck into the driveway. Loaded everything from different places. They did not leave a mess.
