+ 1 moreI called three top-rated Angie's List providers to get quotes on the work we needed done. All of them were asked to quote only the work related to storm damage; if they felt additional work was needed, they were asked to provide a second quote just for that. One thing that bugged us was toward the end of writing up the quote, we realized that he had forgotten a major portion of the work. When reminded, he did not ask questions, step outside to look, measure, or anything. He literally waved his finger in the air for a few seconds and tacked on another large number to the quote. Their quote was far more than our insurance adjuster had estimated (they were more than fair) and more than *double* the amount the other two companies (which have top ratings on Angie's List) were quoting. As always, be sure you get multiple quotes.
Description of Work: We needed get our interior, fence, and exterior painted from storm damage.

The quote covered labor and they provided an estimate of materials. They provided all the receipts for the materials when the job was complete. We couldn't be more pleased with the work and I am happy to have found John's company. I am sure we will be using them again!
Description of Work: Replaced all poor quality 1980's composite fascia boards except where the carport and patio cover protected the original fascia. Installed fascia material to cover existing rake vents (we recently had ridge vents installed), installed 15 soffit vents, replaced vinyl shutters, pressure washed and repainted entire house, front door and shutters. They removed our rain gutters and left them off because we will be replacing them with new gutters. We provided the shutters and custom paint for the shutters and door out of convenience since they worked those tasks into the job for us even though they were not in the original quote. They cleaned up the site when done. Prior to starting the project, needed an immediate repair to close an opening where a fascia board had fallen out of place. They came out promptly to take care of this at no additional charge to prevent water damage since there was about a 3-week wait to do do the larger project.

The quality of his work was always at or above expectations in all aspects. Again, being 1,200 presented unique challenges and required a high level trust - he exceeded in all areas. His work was a key part in my ability to get an all cash offer 3 days after listing! I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: I needed a general handyman to help get my West Plano townhouse ready for sale. The unit needed a number of repairs and upgrades including but not limited to: painting the entire unit, replacing all plumbing fixtures, lighting, ceiling fans, bathroom vanities, kitchen back splash and door hardware. This was a unique project in that I live in Los Angeles (1,200 miles and 2 time zones away)!

+ 6 moreJohn and his team did an excellent job putting my bathroom right again. What started out as leveling and supporting the floor joists. Due to shoddy workmanship from a previous contractor, it became a complete remodeling job. John and his team did a fantastic job! They literally rebuilt my bathroom from the inside out and it's better than the original. Through the entire process, there was work being done. Someone was working on the project the entire time. From demo to finish. His workers were very conscientious and careful with my floors and house while the work was being done. John kept me informed of what to expect next and who would be doing the work. His pricing was reasonable and the workmanship was outstanding. I highly recommend him to anyone for just about any job. I will definitely be using his service again! I'll try to post pictures of before, during and after below.

They knocked out a bunch of our to do list in just a week and when we were in a tight spot due to timeline John worked to get one of his guys in to finish the job. We recommend them hands down and wish we found them sooner.

He said he would be out the next day as scheduled. When he did not show, I called him and he said he had it down for the PM. I see that his disorganization is a recurring theme as detailed in other reviews. I cancelled and will hire someone else.

There were a variety of miscellaneous odds and ends that he wrapped up in a day...and then a major kitchen remodel that he kept to scale. He made some great recommendations as well as respected the original vision. He's a great problem-solver and a helpful partner who is fast to respond. Anxious to get started on a bathroom remodel and working with him again.
