Well, this is my 3rd or 4th experience with Dallas Plumbing, and once again their performance was flawless. What do you ask of a plumber? Well, David and Anthony (in this case) were on-time, polite, professional, clean and quick in the performance of their work...and most importantly, presented me with an extremely reasonable bill...especially pleasing in light of my failure (being distracted) to ever even ask for an estimate before they commenced their work. Finding the right Plumber is like having that Doctor, Barber or Electrician you can trust...Gold.

Plumber called to say he would arrive in 15 minutes. Arrived 1.5 hours later3ePlumber asked us to go purchase part he needed Unable to unstop and said another crew would call the next morning to Snake drain from roof. No call from company. When we called Monday Morning we were told charge would be $236 and we had no invoice from him The company said they didn't know they were to call. Left a mess in bathroom and still have clogged lines.

We apologize for any inconvenience to the homeowner. We have investigated the situation and some errors were made on the part of our employees. The plumber should not have asked the homeowner if they would like to go purchase the part needed while he worked on the stoppage. The new customer service representative failed to call on Friday. Because it was raining all day and the plumber would not be able to get on the roof, she thought it would be acceptable to call on Monday. She should have contacted the homeowner on Friday to explain the situation. Those involved have been informed of their errors. We are working diligently to prevent this from happening again in the future. We have voided the homeowner’s invoice so she will not be paying for any of the plumber’s time attempting to clear the stoppage. Again, we sincerely apologize and regret the situation.

Called on Monday to schedule plumber to repair two non-emergency issues: 1) water leaking out of toilet tank into bowl & 2) water leaking under cabinet from bathroom sink. Appointment set for Wed. between 10 am - 1 pm. Got a call at 12:40 pm that they were running behind. Were supposed to call when on the way & never heard back. At 4 pm I called to see if I was next on the list, & was told there were still 4 calls before mine! I canceled the appointment & called a different company who set an appointment time & showed up as scheduled. Very disappointing & frustrating, as I ended up wasting an entire day waiting for repairs!

In August 2010 we had 2 Carrier units installed. (One was not what we ordered and it was quickly replaced the same day). Later that day I talked to what I thought was a DAllas Plumbing worker to get all the info we needed to file for the 10 year warranty. He said the company takes care of that and not to worry. A couple months later the city left papers on our door because apparently DAllas Plumbing did not file the proper papers to get the permit/units inspected after installation. So we called the city and took care of it. Well, in 2013 something went wrong with the outside AC unit. DAllas Plumbing came out and got it working again. (the standard 5 yr warranty covered this). We did get to pay the labor costs however. The person that came out was really nice and referred to the long warranty which covered the systems. I had no worries because I thought Dallas Plumbing had done what they said they did. Now to the PRESENT TIME 6-2015 the same outside unit started making a louder than normal noise. It sounded like the fan blades were coming loose. (This was always a noisier unit than the other) I called DAllas Plumbing but they said it would be 4-5 DAYS before they could come out and look. (and this is the company our family had done business with for the last 15 years) Well it was hot and we couldn't wait so we called another company. They came out promptly and diagnosed the problem by replacing the motor and the cylinder. (the cylinder is what DAllas Plumbing had replaced previously as being the problem) The company said they barely squeaked in before the warranty was up. (because there was some sort of date/number system stuck to the back of the unit). When I heard that I knew there was a problem because Dallas Plumbing told me we had a 10 year warranty and I had double checked that this would be taken care of. I checked with another AC company about registering HVAC units for warranties and was told the company usually takes care of that. DAllas Plumbing dropped the ball again and NEVER registered our units with Carrier. I did call Carrier as well and they said "it is up to the person who bought the systems to register the units." No help there. I called DAllas Plumbing to try and get answers. I repeatedly talked to Matt who said yes it should have been registered by them. But he said he couldn't do anything to help. I asked for the person who represented Dallas Plumbing when we purchased these Carrier systems and was told he retired. I asked to talk to someone in charge. I was handed over to MARK WISSLER. He looked up documents and said a couple of different stories depending on which time we talked to him. One was,your job was contracted out so I'm not sure what we can do. I did not ask DAllas Plumbing to subcontract out our job. And the second conversation was, the person taking care of your job has retired so I'm not sure we can help you. We paid DAllas Plumbing directly and were NEVER told they were going to do this subcontracting and as far as not upholding his previous manager's contracts...well...horrible. I last talked to him on 6-5-15. He said he would call me back. BUT, he NEVER called me back. He said he would talk to someone with Carrier and get this worked out. ( again, really bad feeling here because he basically said they are not responsible because they chose to hand the job to someone else...but DAllas Plumbing took our check that was written to DAllas Plumbing to do a DAllas Plumbing job. So I called DAllas Plumbing again on the 23rd of June and left a message. Nobody called us back again. I called DAllas Plumbing again on the 1st of July and talked to the answering person who said he was at lunch. I left another message. Nobody called us back....again. So I called back again 4 hours later and was told the same thing...he is still at lunch. I had to ask..."does he usually take a half day lunch?" She quickly redacted her comment and said "he's out on a call". Still DAllas Plumbing never called us back. Today is July 6th. I called and left a lengthy message for MARK WISSLER who is a manager at DAllas Plumbing...again. This time I explained the importance of doing the right thing and how SAD it is when you don't even have the courage to call the customer back because you know you are in the wrong. 7-6-2015I just went to lunch and someone from DAllas Plumbing called and left NO message. If they were just about anyone else I'd call them back to be courteous. But I've struggled with this enough and if they have something to say concerning the problems they have caused then they should have left a message. My husband called Mr. Wissler back later that afternoon. He had the gall to say he could never get through to me on my phone. ( where a message could have been left) Anyway he told my husband he would get back to him. He never called my husband. (my husband has a different phone too) A week or so goes by and my husband calls again. Mr. Wissler says he has it worked out to where they would cover the AC units because they can't get Carrier to change their policy and since Dallas Plumbing made the error they will cover it and he will send out the paperwork with a warranty that DAllas Plumbing will cover this for the full 10 years. This never happened. Nothing was ever sent to us. Another couple weeks go by and my husband calls again. He's told Mr. Wissler will be out till next week and he left a message. Again, Nobody called us back. Now skip forward to SEptember. My husband calls Dallas Plumbing again and asks to speak with Mark Wissler. They tell him he is on vacation for a month. My husband asks when the first vacation day was so he would call right back when it was over. The lady on the other end said "Oh, today" My husband left another message and nobody has returned a message.
Description of Work: Installed 2 CARRIER 17 Seer heating and air units, redid ducting, installed vents. (2 complete HVAC systems)

First of all, we apologize for any errors and miscommunication on our part. Unfortunately, the salesperson that sold this equipment had retired when this was brought to our attention. After investigating the issue, we discovered the equipment had not been registered for the additional 5 year warranty. We then explored all avenues for providing the extended warranty through Carrier Corporation. We were unsuccessful, but we committed to honoring the additional 5 year warranty ourselves. The homeowner was made aware of this. Our service manager has been out on medical leave for three weeks. He was unable to create and complete a warranty agreement to meet these special circumstances before he left. He is working diligently to have one completed this week. As for the equipment installation, there is a misunderstanding. We did not subcontract this installation to another company. We have never subcontracted to other companies for residential HVAC system installations. Dallas Plumbing Company employees performed this installation. A voicemail has been left for the homeowner so the issues in this review may be discussed.

I have not had a big job by them. After he left there were some electrical things that did not turn on. I called them back and told them ever since he was here there were two things that did not work. It was after hours so they had to get someone to come out. When the person came out the first thing he asked was if I had checked the breaker box. I had not, so that was really stupid on my part. That turned out to be the problem. The man went home and they were going to charge me time and a half for that. I said he did not do anything, although he did spend his time coming out. They said such and such and ti I told them I would pay $50 and nothing more. It was not really my fault because the plumber should have checked whether he turned something back on after he had turned them off. They told me that was fine. Another company had come to put in my dishwasher and they turned everything off and on. As far as I know he did the job, but I would think the plumber should have known to turn the power back in. I have used them before for the air conditioning and I just felt this time they should not have been so adamant about getting time and a half for something like that. Their price was higher than I thought. They have done my air conditioning and heating maintenance too. They came but I had to wait almost a week, but I knew it since they had told me that.
Description of Work: In order to put my new dishwasher in, I had to get a plumber from Dallas Plumbing to bring it up to code. While I was here he took a shower head off that I could not remove and he did one other little thing.

Although they were booked for the day, they ended up being able to come out in the afternoon instead of after 5. The 2-man crew was courteous and professional. They quickly assessed the situation and explained what needed to be done. They had to go through the roof vent on a 100 degree day to run an auger through the pipes, but they were able to complete the work very efficiently.

I just always use them. They are very good. The service was excellent. They are excellent plumbers. Their office is not far from here so they came out within a day or so. I would tell a friend to use them. I do not compare the price so I assume within whatever everybody else is up to because everybody is about the same. They give a good price and when they came out to unclog the drain once, they gave me senior discount and I had a coupon so he gave me a double discount and he did not have to do that. I think they did an A work. They are right on-time. Their professionalism is excellent.
Description of Work: For plumbing, we used Dallas Plumbing Company & Air Conditioning. They came out and did a summer check on the air conditioner. I have two and they cleaned them and put filters in. They also came out and fixed my sink, but that has been within the last two or three months.

Their prices are very reasonable. They were in the range with anybody else. I've used them for 23 years. They don't try to fix something that doesn't need fixing. They cleaned-up and they were great. I would recommend them.

The main sewer line for my entire house was blocked for 3 days and 6 gallons of drain cleaner did nothing to open it. About 10:30 AM on 2/24/2015 I called Dallas Plumbing and was put on the schedule for that afternoon and somebody would call me about 30 minutes before the technician would arrive. As promised, I received the call saying the technician was on the way. Brian and his helper, Michael, arrived at around 3:30 PM and I told them what was wrong, the history of my plumbing problems and what I did to try to unblock the current stoppage. Brian went straight to the main line cleanout and got the auger going. After about 30 minutes or so, he said the bit was about 100 feet down the line and all of a sudden, the water that had been standing in the pipe for 3 days immediately disappeared and he asked me to turn on all of the faucets and flush all of the toilets which I did. Problem solved. Brian and Michael were very courteous, professional and friendly and Dallas Plumbing will get my business should I ever need plumbing services in the future. I thought the total price charged was very reasonable compared to what prior similar services have cost me. I had initially called another plumbing company based on their advertisements but they were closed because of a couple inches of ice we had overnight although their phone recording said they would come but there would be an additional $300 charge.

The old gas line had been slowly leaking for a few years under the patio. After a good rain there was no evidence of a leak but if it was dry for a few weeks there was the slight smell of gas. The big problem was the very large brick over concrete patio. Their solution was to run the new line across the back yard and under a sidewalk not having to damage the patio. After installation and pressure testing the main house passed but the garage apartment didn't. A small leak was discovered where the gas line entered the building and was repaired. I thought it expensive but no doubt worth it.
Description of Work: They replaced the gas line from the ally to the main house.

The technicians showed up on time (which is really important to me). They quickly assessed the situation, told me how the problem could be fixed, and then set about fixing it. They changed the stops under my kitchen sink, repaired my kitchen faucet and changed the handle assembly in my toilet. I really appreciated their professional but friendly demeanor and the quality of their work. This is the third time I've used Dallas Plumbing. I will definitely use them again!

The short version: I called at just after 8 AM on Saturday hoping to get someone to fix a toilet flange. Nobody ever called me back (I had my phone with me the whole time and waited all morning at home so I wouldn't miss him). When I called and had the plumber paged at 11 AM he was rude to me and said that he had called but I didn't answer, and he didn't feel it was necessary to leave a message because he is "too busy". If the service is this bad just trying to get them to my house for a simple repair, I don't want to find out what the actual repair process would be like. The long version: After having an ongoing issue with my master bathroom toilet rocking a bit, on Friday evening I pulled it and found that the cast iron toilet flange was broken. I'm pretty handy, but I know my limits, and replacing a cast iron flange and dealing with molten lead are well beyond my skill set. So, on Friday night I looked online and was very excited to find a plumber that said they charge normal rates until 4:00 PM on Saturday's - and they are rated well on Angie's List AND a D-Magazine best pick to boot! On Saturday morning, I made it a point to call in just after 8:00 AM because I suspected that if they were working on Saturday that the schedule probably fills up quickly and I wanted to call in early to get on the schedule well before the 4:00 PM cutoff - and that is where the trouble started. The answering service took my name, phone number, and address, and told me that she would page someone and that person would call me back. So I sat down and waited by my cell phone. Literally, for the next few hours I had my phone right beside me and the phone rang only one time from 8:00 AM until about 11:15 AM and it was a telemarketer. At approximately 11:15 AM I decided that I would call again, although I was worried it might make me look like I was being a pest. The lady at the answering service was nice enough and found (after some digging) my phone record and that the person I spoke with earlier that morning had paged someone named Brian (I could be spelling his name wrong). She asked me to hold and a few moments later Brian was on the phone with me. I explained that I was waiting for him to call me and wanted to see what time he would be able to come by (this after I verified that they do indeed work on Saturday to which he said yes). He abruptly told me that he had called me and I didn't answer. I told him I had been by my phone all morning and that it had not rang and I asked if he left a message. He told me no, that he's too busy for that - he said that if a customer doesn't answer he just moves on to the next customer on the list because it takes too long to leave messages. He then asked me more about my problem, and said that he didn't think he would have the parts to do the job on his truck. Then he said he would call me when he was done with the next five or six customers he had on his list and he might be able to come by. I told him something to the effect of whatever you think is best, and hung up. If the service is this bad just trying to get them to my house for a simple repair, I don't want to find out what the actual repair process would be like. Needless to say I won't be using Dallas Plumbing ever in the future, nor will I recommend them.

We sincerely apologize for the homeowner’s inconvenience. The plumber on call had a high volume of service calls that day. He did call the customer to schedule the call, but the customer did not answer. Regrettably, he did not leave a message due to his time constraints. This was against the company policy to always leave messages. We have reminded all employees of this important policy to prevent this from occurring in the future. When he called the homeowner the second time, our plumber did state that the nature of the call would most likely require material that was not readily available on weekends, but he offered to schedule a call to examine the cast iron flange to see if it could be repaired with available material. When the plumber became available, he called the customer but did not get an answer. Again, we sincerely apologize for the homeowner’s inconvenience.

It was cancelled by the customer on November 20th, 2014. We have no record of a service call scheduled for January 21st, 2015. We keep both hand written and computer generated copies of every service request. Although, this may have been a case of human error by one of our staff, we have had similar issues arise when other companies represent themselves as Dallas Plumbing Company. Again, we apologize to the customer for the error and inconvenience. We will make every effort to prevent this from happening in the future.

They do general maintenance and they flush a line out and clear it. I have been using them for 20 year and I am happy. They have a good reputation and sometimes I get different technician and sometime I get the same. They guys are very knowledgeable and they go over what they are doing. They will answer your questions and they are very good about explaining. I don’t think they do unnecessary things.

We just bought this 3 level condo in Dallas. The first floor is a in laws suite where we stay. Our son and his fiancé live on the 2nd floor and the kitchen is on the 3rd floor. The weekend after we closed (Thanksgiving) and moved in, the sewer started backing up (on our level of course).Our HOA was no help at all. We cut our trip short and had to return home. I told my son to take care of it. They apparently did not realize how serious the problem was because they continued using water and it leaked into the main living area in our suite and completely soaked our oriental rug. My son had "one of his guys" come in and snake the inside cleanouts which helped. I returned on the 11th, found Dallas Plumbing company , called them Friday morning, they came out in early afternoon and got the problem solved! It was the cleanout going out to the street. He got it clear, verified it was clear by turning on all the faucets. He opened up the cleanout and showed me how it should look when properly running. I learned something new. Best of a bad experience. Will definitely use them again but hopefully not too soon.

Everyone we encountered was very professional and helpful. Plumber and helpers worked quickly and efficiently. Everything went well and they were finished in one day. So satisfied with work done, we plan to look into having them install a hot water recirculating pump on the other water heater so we can have instant hot water in master bath.
Description of Work: Replaced two water heaters in attic; installed hot water recirculating pump on one water heater for kitchen; repaired toilet; and worked on four sets of faucets in master bath and kitchen.

As has been the case with each time I have called Dallas Plumbing, the service was scheduled immediately, and the Technician arrived precisely on time (after a cursory phone call). The Tech was highly experience, pleasant, polite, and immediately executed the necessary procedure to clear the (chronically) clogged drain. Obviously this particular procedure was not exactly rocket-science, but I have used Dallas Plumbing for more complex issues, with equal success. These guys "Get it."

It did not go very well. When I called the plumbing company I specifically said I had an electric tankless water heater leaking the hot water side. Said someone would be out either before 5 or after 5. The plumber looked at the unit and told me he did not know about tankless water heaters but took the information and said someone would call back the next day. He was not in my home more than 15 minutes. I know I was told $99 for the first 1/2 hour and then $50 for each additional. i was really upset about this charge as nothing was accomplished. I called and complained and told Tuesday when another plumber came I would not pay $99 again. Tuesday another plumber came within allotted time frame. Turned on the hot water and turned it off. Called the manufacturer and i decided a new unit was in order. When I asked how much time it might involve so I could figure on some cost, he told me he really could not say. He left after a $55 charge in less than a half hour. When the part was to come in, I could call and a time would be set up for installation. The part came Thursday afternoon and when I called no time until Monday between 8:30 and 9am. I had been without hot water since Saturday. I am well aware that there are charges one must pay for services, however, I think $99 for a service call that was worthless is totally unfair. The company came highly recommended but I would not use them again. I found someone who was able to come on Thursday afternoon and install the new unit. I just felt that I have been ripped off.
Description of Work: i called about a leak in a tankless water heater. first plumber turned off the hot water and told me he really did not know about tankless water heater.That was $100 for less than 15 minutes. the second day the plumber came and called the manufacturer and agreed i needed a new unit. That was $55 for about 20 minutes of walking int my home.
