Dallas Plumbing Company & Air Conditioning

They were fantastic. Other plumbers had told us the water heater needed to change completely while they were able to fix it under manufacturer warranty for both items. They hourly rate are pricy but they still saved me money compared to the others. I would highly recommend them. I have used so many different A/c and Plumbing companies but I found them the most honest and also excellent in their trade. I called the manager and congratulated him on his staff. That is how impressed I was by them.

Called on the morning of 8/22/2013 and asked about getting someone to come out to our home to get a quote for some drain repairs. I was told the person who did that was not in the office but I could leave a voice mail. I left a voice mail with my cell phone number so they could contact me. I was hoping they would be able to come out to see the house on the 23rd. By the afternoon of the 23rd I had not received a call back so I contacted the company again. I was told all the service personnel were in a training session and would not be available to call back until the following Monday. I was asked to leave another voice mail. I declined stating that if they wanted to call me back they could do so by using the first voice mail. I never got a call back. To me this is just bad customer service. After this experience I would call this company again, and I would never recommend this company.

He forgot to mention that he didn't have a filter to fit my unit. I purchased it myself and then requested that they install it (they offered after I called them to ask if filter had been changed), but the technician never got back with me.

I noticed water running down a light fixture and dripping onto my kitchen island late one night. The next morning, I went to work, leaving a key hidden on my front porch. I called about six plumbers from work, detailing my emergency, but all six told me that they could not get to it that day. Most said they were booked all week. One plumber recommended that I call Dallas Plumbing since they were larger than the average plumbing company and could likely send someone out that day. I did and got a very helpful person on the line who said that they would send someone out between11-2 (it was 11 when I called). By 12, Josh had called me and said he was in route to my home. I explained that I could not meet him and that there was a key on the front porch. Shortly after he arrived, he called me again to explain that the only way to locate the leak was to remove some drywall. I gave him the go ahead. He called again a short while later and explained there was a hole in the drain pipe coming from the bathroom sink upstairs that had to have been done by the electrician during construction of the house six years ago! He said the upstairs condensate line for the ac also fed into the drain pipe. I was amazed that there could have been a hole in there from construction but I knew he was right. He said the hole in the pipe lined up perfectly with the hole drilled through the floor rafter that electrical lines fed through. We had also rarely used that bathroom for anything other than a quick hand wash. The air conditioner had been running nonstop as the Texas temperatures had recently soared, which explained the constant drip of the leak through the ceiling and onto the kitchen island. Josh gave me an estimate over the phone and told me how he would make the repair. I gave him the okay to repair the line and he called me about an hour later once he was done. I was very pleased with how Dallas Plumbing quickly reacted to my problem, called me before cutting the drywall or making the repair, and explained what had happened. I would use them again with no reservations.

They were great. They offered upgrades but there was no additional charges. They were nice, polite and did a good job. The blower motor just went out but was due to the age of the air conditioning.

I called Dallas Plumbing and left a message with their answering service upon arriving home from work and finding that although the thermostat was set at 72 degrees, the temperature inside my house was 84 degrees. The next morning I called when they opened and spoke with Matt in the HVAC service department. Although they were fully booked, he took my name in case there was a cancellation. Luckily, the technician on call that night, Ron Jones, was able to come by that evening. Ron obviously knows what he's doing, because it didn't take him long to diagnose the problem. He explained what went wrong, and then what needed to be done to correct it. I was so thrilled that it was a minor problem and that Ron was able to get my unit up and running quickly. I had trouble stopping a huge smile that broke out across my face, because I was so happy that the problem was a small one!! have used Dallas Plumbing for several years and am on a semi-annual maintenance/checkup plan for my HVAC system. I believe that this helps prolong the life of the system, just like oil changes on a vehicle. Every technician that comes to my house has been polite, prompt, very knowledgeable and friendly. I am so happy that one of my neighbors referred me to Dallas Plumbing several years ago.

The technician called and arrived at the appointment time and all the service was done as scheduled.

The provider switched to fan on my thermostat from Auto to On while he was doing his checks and never turned it back. I didn't realize this until weeks later and a $300.00 electric bill. The savings I got from the 'deal' on Angies List was not worth what I now have to pay for him forgetting to switch things back to the way they were before he came. He also gave incorrect information about tax credits available if I purchased a new unit.

Had a bad first experience. Scheduled an appointment and nobody showed. I got busy and didn't follow up. Neither did they. Since I had already purchased the service, I called a couple of weeks later to complain about the "no show" and reschedule. To their credit, they were appropriately embarrassed and bent over backwards to correct the mistake. Evidently, someone on their scheduling crew turned out to be a "lemon" and that person had been fired. The rescheduled appointment went off without a hitch, the service and needed repair was performed well and in a timely manner, and they discounted the final bill "for all my trouble." Because of the way they handled their error, I was impressed enough to call them again in the future. All in all, at the end of the day, I have no complaints with this company, and respect the way they handled the mistake.

We were happy that they could get everything fixed. The first company did not repair the A/C properly.

When I initially called to schedule an appointment I had to be scheduled 1.5 weeks out. Not ideal but I was okay with it. They never showed up for my appointment. I called the next day and they said I was scheduled but it was just missed for some reason. We tried to reschedule but they weren't able to make the second appointment. I called to find out what happened the next day and they tried to schedule me out for 2-3 weeks. I told them that it wasn't reasonable to wait 3-4 weeks to get the servicing that I paid for. She explained they had just too much work and short handed because someone just quit. I can be sympathetic to that, however I don't think it's good business sense for them to place/advertize a "Big Deal" when they don't have the bandwidth to take on the additional business. It wastes the customers time, it's bad business, and it causes poor experiences for consumers like me that they otherwise would have had a positive experience from if they could actually have the time to do the work.

One toilet was wall mounted and they failed to inform us that a $500 piece was not included in the quote. The item was delivered to us and the $500 piece was incorrect. They refused to take back the toilet. They did not return calls. They sent a dismissive letter saying that we were at fault and their owner never, ever called regardless of the requests made. The two Kohler air assisted flush toilets still back up with toilet paper and have to be flushed twice for any thing other than liquid. The wall hanging toilet is in pieces in our warehouse. The replacement toilet is working just fine. Very poor customer service

On a Friday morning at 9am I was facing a plugged bathroom sink. Others couldn't make it or were quoting what I thought were very high rates for less than 30 min work. Dallas Plumbing, even knowing I had an Angie's coupon, was able to respond that day and gave a time frame of between 10-1. They stated they would call 30 min before which they did at 11:30 and showed up at noon. Others quoted rates of $178+ as a fixed rate for unstopping the drain if attack access was required. Dallas Plumbing works on time and materials, which for smaller jobs has always in my history with plumbers worked out to the homeowners advantage. The other companies have a book of rates for jobs and then they are finished usually in under an hour and you wonder why it was so high. You might be concerned that the technician would drag it out or suggest additional work, but here is where a reputable plumber, like Dallas Plumbing excels. Aaron got right to it, didn't chit chat the time away and was efficient and finished in 30 min. Only because he checked out another potential problem that I authorized did it exceed 30 min in billing. I actually forgot that I had the Angie's coupon, but Aaron didn't and asked for it giving me $50 off. I would use them again and would highly recommend Dallas Plumbing.

Great. He arrived on-time, worked quickly, explained everything, and most importantly...did not try to up-sell me on repairs, etc (which is what I was expecting with the special deal).

We just moved in and realized that we had a small,steady amount of water coming out of our baseboards on the wall that is shared with the plumbing for the shower. We called our home warranty company to have someone come out, but they said they couldn't get anyone out to us until late Sunday (more like Monday). Found this company on Angie's List (realized how hard it is to find a 24 hour plumber on here) and decided to give them a call. BEST DECISION! Chris came out and was GREAT!! He informed us that it was actually probably our A/C line and not a plumbing leak. After cutting a hole in the sheet rock, he was right. The a/c line was never tied into the drain and had been dumping water into the wall. HORRIBLE!!! He was extremely honest with us and fashioned a temporary line to get us through until the home warranty people could come out. We had him cut another hole in the bottom of the wall so that we could run a fan in there. He never pressured us into anything. He was honest about the cost. Great experience!

I have used Dallas Plumbing twice now. The first time, they applied their $50 credit for first time customers with no fuss at all. They showed up when they said they would, they did the work and completed it quickly. I was very happy. Another plumbing company that charges 'by the job' rather than charging time plus materials had quoted me a cost of about 4 times the amount for a one hour project. The second time they came out, they showed up when they said they would - but they didn't have all the parts needed on hand. Rather than charging me for that trip and time for driving to pick up the parts, they had me agree to the cost for their trip and assessment time and then rescheduled to come back to complete the work. They came back and did a great job. The cost was higher than I had hoped - I think not having the part they needed probably cost me about 30 minutes in time just figuring out what they could do/not do and assessing the work. But overall I'm very happy with the work they did and I would use them again.

When I first called DPC, I told the scheduler that I needed someone experienced that could solve a problem that a previous plumber had created. The first two hours were spent removing the controller to the hand shower(about 3 minutes), cutting a small hole in my closet(about 5 minutes) and staring at the fixture blue prints(the rest of the 2 hours)( and a smoke break). Two full hours. A comment was made that there would be some difficulty determining the hot water line. I turned on the hot water in the shower, waited a few minutes and went to the closet and touched all the pipes, and found the one that was hot. Didn?t seem too difficult. I was then told he would have to reschedule to finish because my appointment was only allotted two hours. The second appointment was made and I was told the entire wall of tile would need to come out. I found that a little extreme and asked why it couldn?t be done from the closet. He managed to only remove one tile from the shower and the rest was done from the closet. I was not able to use my previously purchased Grohe fixtures in the shower, so I went to Teter?s and purchased a new shower head. He installed the shower head. Of course, the fitting from the shower head to the wall for the shower head flops around and the pipe attached to the shower head itself wiggles all over the place. Not exactly what I call a "professional" job. The technician did offer to "throw away" the brand new $247 shower head for me since he wasn?t able to install it.

Very professional service, and unlike others that I have used, did not try to sell additional services during the entire visit. They performed the inspection and provided a written report. I am very pleased with their work.

These guys are my go-to Plumbers from now on. I called them to rectify a disaster created by another (totally incompetent) plumber. They were able to arrive the same day as my first phone call, and exactly on time. They were clean, thorough, professional, reasonable, and knew their business. This is a solid outfit.
