Chris Roberts Concrete

Called requesting service. Was told that an estimate would be done for the work requested. Never received a follow up call.

Chris is a very nice guy. Called and said they would be out the next day and finished up in one afternoon. I would use him again for my concrete needs.

We got two estimates and Chris's was several hundred lower than the other. The project was delayed a few days because of weather, but his guys did a great job.

I neeeded a sidewalk removed. Chris is friendly, helpful and not condescending to a woman. I appreciated that hwe was willing to take on a small job. He gave me a quote over the phone based on my measurements. He was very busy and having trouble getting workmen. He wanted to see the site before doing the work but couldn't find time. It was a staightforward job, so we decided to set a date without his advance visit. Because of staffing problems they were late and couldn't finish the job on the same day. They returned the next afternoon to finish up. The workmen were thorough and did a good job of cleaning up the site.

We thought we needed a complete replacement of our front walkway. Chris took one look and told us he could solve the problem by jacking up the individual slabs. The price was substantially less than replacing the walkway. The work took less than half a day and it came out looking like a new walkway had been poured! High integrity contractor and a great value, highly recommend him!

Chris came out and gave me an estimite. I called him several weeks later but was able to fit me with in a week. The job took about 3 days. I was very happy with the job.they cleaned up everything and even left extra stones with me.

If he had called me as he indicated at noon and said he couldn't make it, that would have been ok. But I had to call him and get excuses for not wanting to come over.

Chris provided an estimate the day after we called. Because the job was relatively small, he scheduled us around larger projects but our project was completed in a timely manner. We contacted another contactor and his bid was three times the amount we paid.

Chris's team of Armando, Pancho and Luis are terrific. They know what they are doing and perform quality work. No detail is overlooked. They worked through the whole job in the mid-summer heat without a break. I would definitely call again.

Chris did an OUTSTANDING job. We were on vacation when the work was done and were so pleasantly surprised when we came back. Contrary to the comment that the team should not be left along, we were out of the country and had no problems. He exceeded our expectations on the work and the driveway looks exceptional. Our neighbor was so happy they had Chris extend their driveway too. We had one of the so-called "top" Angie's List concrete providers with the most number of reports with an A rating come out for an estimate who acted as though I was doing him a favor by offering him $2K for the work. He didn't even bother with sending an estimate so I was back to Angie's List to find someone else. That was a lesson learned...just because they had a top rating, doesn't mean they are professional.

He was fabulous and did an outstanding job. I had a flood, my mother had a flood, and I've been working at 2 places. I called a number of guys and I chose him. I am going to call him again, soon.

The job went well. Workers came back to fix areas that were missed.

Chris responded right away to my call, and was able to examine the job the same day. He gave me a quote on the repair that was very reasonable. He and his crew began the job the same day I called back to ask him to go ahead. My wife and I are very pleased with the quality of the work and the speed of getting it done. After seeing some of Chris's work on other projects, I would especially like to employ Chris to do some decorative stonework for us when we're ready.

We had an old retaining wall, built from landscape logs, which fell over. We received several estimates before deciding to go with Chris Roberts. He was very reasonably priced, and he showed us lots of pictures of his previous work. Chris and his crew built such a beautiful retaining wall out of Austin stone, that we decided to build a raised flowerbed and patio out of flagstone. We could not be happier with how beautifully everything turned out. I would highly recommend Chris Roberts to anyone needing stone work.

A block of our concrete from the sidwalk to our front walkway had fallen about two inches from the summer hear. Knowing that Halloween was coming, I was afraid this could be a problem with kids tripping as they walked up to the door. I called a couple of companies . The bids were outrageous. I called Chris and even though it was a small job and he had to travel here(to Flower Mound) he came in a couple of days and gave me an estimate to raise the two blocks, fill underneath with concrete and level them off. He said it would be $150.00. This estimate was mid October. He didn't think he could be out for a couple of weeks. He called the Saturday before Halloween and said he could send his crew out in an hour. He asked if I had given up on him and I said no. Even though it was a small job, he didn't treat it as one. His crew worked for two hour. They were careful not to damage the sprinklers, cleaned up afterwards and I now have a level walkway. I will call him back in the future to fix some of out planter brickwork. He does what he says he will do. l

Chris was on time and was very detaild on explaining the reason for the cracks. He patiently listened to my fears and assured me I had nothing to worry about and that I should wait on spending my money on a worhwhile repair. He was very genuine and honest. In this economy you don't see many honest people . I would not hesitate to call him the next time I have a bigger rapair.

I had a large section of my driveway where the concrete was missing as well as three large cracks. I had hired someone to remove the ashpalt that was on top of my driveway. When they removed the asphalt some of the concrete came up. That is when I got in touch with Chris Roberts. We decided to replace the section that was missing concrete with brick. We came up with a design that covered the large section that was missing concrete as well as using the brick to fill in the three large cracks on the driveway. I am very happy with the way the driveway turned out. I have had numerous people stop and compliment my driveway. I would definitely recommend Chris Roberts and his crew to anyone. They did a great job!

My experience with Chris Roberts began and ended with a phone call. Initially, we agreed that Mr. Roberts would come by and assess the work of repairing my front walkway. While Mr. Roberts didn't come or call when he said that he would, that wasn't the biggest problem. When we did speak to discuss his assessment I had several questions about the job. This was a problem for him. It appears that Mr. Roberts expected to be hired without explaining the process he uses. He was irritated that I asked for the details. The conversation came to an end when Mr. Roberts said that he "wasn't going to reinvent the wheel by explaining what he does." My decision was easy to make--not to hire Mr. Roberts. He was rude and dismissive. If he can't or isn't willing to communicate with a potential customer, and expects their blind trust, I wouldn't have confidence to move forward in doing business with him. Do ask questions before hiring someone. It's better to make informed decisions so you minimize bad outcomes. Don't hire anyone who isn't willing or able to explain the job they're being hired to do.

Great Job. I am very happy with the quality of the work, and with the final results

I had a walkway that was separated (about 1/2 a foot) from my front step and the walkway was cracked in half in several places. I had gotten prior estimates and they quoted to repair it would be in the range of $1,000-$1,500. Chris tore it up and re-poured it for $500! What a great deal! It was perfect and it matched my existing concrete on the step perfectly. I highly recommend him for all your concrete needs.

On time, high quality, good clean up job

I called Chris out to my office to repair a handicap sign post that has been knocked down. Chris asked the nature of our business, and we explained that we are a nonprofit agency comprised mostly of volunteers who advocate for abused children. He said that if we could use the money to help more children, he would gladly repair the post for free. This has cost us $350 in the past. Chris came the next day and fixed the post quickly, first sinking the post into the cement instead of attaching it to the surface as it had been and sealing the hole. This makes it much more secure and less of a hazard. We are so grateful for his help.
