 + 0 moreI was called before Dustin's arrival. He was on time and polite. He wore booties on his shoes and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction.
Description of Work: Dustin from Caddell came out to look at installling two ceiling fans i was having trouble with. Ultimately i elected to not have him install them as it would have been $200+. But he inspected the wiring, tested to ensure installation would not be a problem and gave me some advice. I was very impressed with Dustin's professionalism and his willingness to answer any and all questions. As such i will engage them in the future for more "major" work such as the exterior lighting i am considering. And i appreciated the special being offered to Angieslist customers that waived the service fee!

Description of Work: We had a recalled circuit box removed and moved to meet code. We also had a new line added to our detached garage and had it completely rewired with it's own circuit box.

 + 0 moreThe guy who came out was very nice; it was a very simple thing to do. He gave me an estimate on the electric panel which was nearly double what I got from a couple of other electric companies so their original estimate was very high. I will not use them again in the future.

 + -1 moreThey said they would just apply the free inspection to a trip charge for the additional work (in other words- they would not do the safety inspection but I wouldn't have to pay for a trip charge). I went ahead and had them come out and do the work- but I felt like I only got half of the deal. Obviously they would have had to of come out anyway for the safety inspection so why should I have to pay a trip charge to have the guy turn the screw driver once or twice while he's already here. I am happy to pay for the work but I ended up missing out on the opportunity to have the other items evaluated. Sure they probably just use the free safety inspection to drum up other business but I didn't have the opportunity to find out if it would have been a good service as well and I'm left with some concerns about wiring. Probably he would have found other things that I would have had him fix. OTHER THAN THAT- I was happy with the technician- he was nice and friendly and did good work on the items that I needed addressed.
Description of Work: I called Caddell because they had been running an ad on am radio about a free safety inspection. I just moved into a new house with aluminum wiring and I was interested in an opinnion about the electical. I also had a couple of other items that I wanted them to look at.

 + -1 moreThey did a really good job. I have done business with them before. The box that was in there before had a lot of fires associated with it. They were listed as a company around here that was familiar with installing a new and safer box. I highly recommend them. They came on time and were very courteous and professional. They cleaned up their mess and fixed the drywall. It looked perfect when they were done. I would definitely hire them again if I needed something done. The price was fair.

 + -1 moreThis company is job notch. Very professional, courteous and concerned about doing the job right.They were punctual and gave me an estimate on the spot. Stephen was my serviceman. He wore booties when he was in the house and even swept up on the back deck and removed the trash when he was finished. He walked me through the repairs when he was finished and explained to me what was done and why. Their prices may be slightly higher but they offer a lifetime guarantee on everything they do.
Description of Work: I purchased my 57-year-old house last May and had to update the electrical service to the house to bring it up to code. A retired "electrician" who was "a friend of a friend of a friend..." was recommended to do the work. I didn't know it then but he did a lousy job and did not have it inspected by the city. During the recent record snowfall a 25-ft limb fell on my power lines and practically ripped the service off of the house. Had it been installed properly this would not have happened. I called another electrician on Angie's List who is unfortunately ill, but he recommended that I call Caddell Electric. Here's what they did: Repaired and replaced riser Grounded meter base Install 3 Taps
