Description of Work: The Foundation estimator came and measured the whole house and found that one part of the house had dropped be 1.5 in. So after a few days, his crew came and put in 6 steel piers and raised the house.

Description of Work: The bid was in line with two others and the salesman explained everything. They were prompt, did the work and cleaned up adequately. We did have three shrubs die where they worked but that was somewhat expected as they had to dig out those shrubs to get to the foundation. Then the front door which worked (quit sticking and deadbolt worked smoothly) after repairs went back to its problematic state after about a month or so. I called three times without a response. The fourth time to the office they set up an appointment for October 13. I left work early to meet the inspector but he never arrived. I called on Friday to ask what happened and the lady said it was scheduled. She said to wait for her to call back with a reason but she (Michele) never called back. They promised warranty work but they will not come out or return my calls. This is totally unacceptable.

Description of Work: I have significant foundation issues and made appointments with 3 different companies from Angie's List. Bob Snyder from Advanced I felt did the best job of evaluating my sitution and offering different suggestions. He has been with this company for 18 years, which certainly impressed me. He is the only one that suggested my issues might be from a plumbing issue, and before anything is done that needs to be checked. He is going to help me set that up. He also told me that I have options on my repairs and they might be able to be completed in stages. The other 2 companies never offered this option. I am pretty certain that this is the company I will have complete the work. I was very impressed with Bob!

Description of Work: Had requested foundation evaluation. Phoned this company and a young lady scheduled the appointment. She called back to confirm on the day before, very professional. The evaluator arrived on time, did an extensive look at the house and used machine to measure. Advised me that my foundation was not a problem. He looked at a drainage problem and told me he would send me an estimate for correcting the problem. That arrived by e-mail in the late afternoon. I was impressed with the service. No charge for the evaluation of the foundation. I am very satisfied and will probably use the service for the correction of the drainage problem after I consult with my neighbor.

The workmen came on time, were courteous and performed the work quickly and professionally. The man who needed to come into my home removed his muddy boots and outer clothing before entering. The cracks which had been caused by the shifting foundation were repaired. I was very pleased with the work.

He worked to make sure that the owners of the other condos in our block were aware of what was going to be done, and to make sure all work would give the most positive outcome for my unit without negatively affecting others. The owners of the adjacent unit opted to have work done at the same time, and Brad coordinated with our schedules so work was performed at the most convenient time. The crew that actually did the work arrived on time each day, and those guys worked hard! I'm talking chipping through the existing foundation, installing the piers, leveling the house, and repairing the holes all in about four days. Incredible. They were also very pleasant. Finally, Brad followed up on the job checking back several weeks later to see how the house had settled and how the resulting repairs were going. I have given Brad's contact information and my recommendation to several others in the Carrollton area who may need foundation work. Advanced did a great job.
Description of Work: Advanced Foundation Repair stepped in to correct work by a previous foundation service, and to install new piers. This included both external (outside walls) and internal piers installed in the end unit of a four-unit condominium structure.

+ -1 moreMy home is completely level now. The problem is my house must not have been level when built, because now I have cracks and doors that do not close properly. I think the engineer should have taken that into consideration. Also the engineer was the only man who spoke English and it was almost impossible for us to communicate, English was not his native language and he had a thick accent and only knew some English.
Description of Work: I had my 1,300 square foot home leveled.
