I followed up with them again and they never got back to me with any information. I ended up calling someone else. At least text or call back. Not sure if the project wasn't enough money for them or if they are just unorganized.

Description of Work: Repaired a 3'x1' drywall hole in my ceiling. Installed a metal access panel there (that I provided), drywall repair around it, tape-and-mux, and texture to match. Prepared it for painting. Labor was 4 hours ($440) and $100 for parts/supplies.

+ 0 moreWork was excellent. Workers arrived early & worked a full day x 2. It was a lot of work but they were able to complete in 2 days. They also provided details on what they were doing & why including how to protect my balconies from water damage in the future. They cleaned up after both days of work & in fact, left the balconies cleaner than they were when they started ! I definitely got great work for the price I paid. Chris, Chuck & Steve are the workers that did my jobs. I've been using Handyman Matters since I moved to Dallas in 2012. The workers are great & very professional. Plus, they're really nice folks who take pride in their work.
Description of Work: Repaired 2 balconies by replacing wood damaged by leaks as well as re-caulked both balconies.

+ 3 moreThe provider came to my home and looked at the potential project-we never received follow-up or a bid.
Description of Work: We had Chuck come by to provide an estimate on our garage/laundry room repair. We had taken both down to the studs and needed some timber replaced (damage from termites), light structural reinforcement, move a wall within the laundry room, some new shelves, new drywall, etc. Chuck seemed semi-interested and let me know that he would get to work on an estimate and send a referral for an electrician and plumber if I needed them. Ruth Chustz sent me the electrician/plumber referral that day-I did not call them as I was going to be using someone else if needed. About 1 week after Chuck came by I called Ruth who said she would contact Chuck to see about the estimate. We still haven't heard back from them (we went with another contractor by this time of course). I guess my project was too small potatoes (though Chuck never mentioned this while he was at our home). Sorry to waste both of our times-but you earned the "F" with flying colors.

I had purchased a "special deal" on Angie's List and he worked very hard to get everything done within the time frame I had paid for. Having just moved into my home he had to work around many boxes and unarranged furniture. AWESOME!!!
Description of Work: Several things: hung a new light fixture/fan, hung a new hand-vacuum, changed the power cord on dryer and installed dryer vent to wall, removed a broken light bulb from socket, changed 2 electrical covers, changed out a showerhead, bid a new job.

He did an excellent job of installing them. I asked him to check the light in the kitchen because it appeared there was a short. He fixed that. He tightened up the arm of my computer chair with a ratchet. I would definitely use these people again.

The tile was provided by me but when it was installed it didn't match up with the other tiles. The chandeliers were hung but left with wires running down the walls. I had to have someone else come in and put the wires behind the walls.

+ 4 moreBrandon arrived a couple of minutes before our scheduled appointment time. He was very professional and efficient. I walked him through all of the repairs that I wanted to have done, and then he began his work. He did a wonderful job with all of the requested repairs. I had originally selected the 2 hours of labor special for $190. Materials cost me an additional $20. I would give Handyman Matters and Brandon my highest recommendation. I will definitely be using them again in the future.
Description of Work: I had a large mirror hung, a painting hung, our kitchen sink re-caulked, a towel rack tightened, a fence lock repaired and wall organizers hung. I also had Brandon look at a drawer in a built-in that wasn't opening well.
