Description of Work: I had a section of sub-flooring replaced in my kitchen in Jan, 2014, by Handyman Matters, and an issue arose regarding the level of the floor around the replaced section of plywood. |I called to let Handyman Matters' office know that a slight adjustment might be needed, and they sent out their foreman, Chuck, and another craftsman named Joe, and after examining the floor, they said they agreed there was a problem and would re-do the job. |It required at least four hours of work because they added additional joist supports, which I had not requested, but I was just amazed and most grateful for the professionalism and attention to detail that both Chuch and Joe provided. |I cannot express how satisfied I have been with the work, professionalism and, especially the craftsmen and women on their staff, as well as their office staff! I've dealt with other handy man services, but Handyman Matters will be the only group I ever call whenever I need help on home projects. They are ABSOLUTELY FIVE-STAR QUALITY!

Description of Work: MICHELLE REPLACED A SECTION OF KITCHEN SUB-FLOORING THAT HAD ROTTED FROM A LEAK IN MY DISHWASHER. AS I COULDN'T AFFORD TO REPLACE THE FLOORING, I EXPLAINED THAT I NEEDED THE SHEET LINOLEUM FOLDED BACK INTO PLACE AFTER THE SUB-FLOOR WAS REPLACED. SHE DID EXACTLY WHAT I REQUESTED, THE JOB WAS ACCOMPLISHED IN THE SPECIFIED TIME, AND SHE CLEANED THE AREA BEFORE LEAVING. |MICHELLE WORKED QUICKLY, WAS VERY PERSONABLE AND EXPLAINED ANY ISSUES THAT THE JOB REQUIRED. |I CHOSE HANDYMAN MATTERS FROM OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS ON ANGIE'S LIST, AND THEY HAVE SINCE DONE TWO OTHER JOBS IN MY HOME. |I AM A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!

Description of Work: On a Friday after coming home from work, I discovered I had no hot water. Somehow, my gas water heater pilot light had gone out. I called my plumber of 10 years, but he wasn't available. |By Saturday noon, I decided to call Handyman Matters, as they had just done another job at my home a few weeks earlier. The dispatcher who answered the phone was so helpful and said she'd try to reach one of their craftsmen. She called back within 15 mins. and told me that Joe, whom I had met another time, would be coming within the hour. |Joe was extremely helpful and personable, and had the pilot lit within 10 mins. He also showed me how to light it myself, should it ever go out again. That alone was worth the money, because the pilot went out again later that evening. But I did exactly what Joe had showed me, and got it lit again. And this time, it stayed lit. |I can't say enough about how much I appreciated Joe coming so quickly on a Saturday afternoon, and I will be a Handyman Matters client for life! |If you're looking for a professional, personable group of craftsmen and women to do those projects, either big or small, call Handyman Matters first. Description of Work: Removed temporary wallboard. Sheetrocked small bathroom (twice - had to redo it, so bad). Put plywood board in place where tub would go. Put plywood floor where cabinet will go. $778 materials (no receipt). Created a box under the a/c for return air that excluded the crawl space. Insulated walls and ceiling before sheet rocking. (I purchased insulation and wood).

Description of Work: Joe refitted a recycled French door to my garden shed. Truly it was a custom job as the doors were old, heavy and awkward to work with. He knew exactly what to do and went out of his way to get the right materials for the job. It looks more-than-amazing! I could not have asked for a better job to be done.

Description of Work: Came to fix the garbage disposal. Since it was a quick service and they have a 1 hr minimum, he offered to work on other various things I had around the house. Very professional! Very friendly!

Description of Work: They replaced weather stripping on several exterior doors. They adjusted interior doors that wouldn't close properly, and did minor electrical work on an outlet that was loose. The handyman came for estimate, left to purchase supplies, returned promptly (in an amazing short time, actually) and had the job done just within the two hours anticipated.
