He arrived at the scheduled time and I showed him the areas that needed fixing. During the original phone call, he estimated it would take 3 hours to do the repairs, but after seeing all the areas, he immediately said it would probably take a bit longer than that (which I said was okay). He put down plastic to protect the floors while he worked and was very diligent about making sure the work was done cleanly and efficiently. He finished in 4.5 hours and asked me to make sure I was happy with everything. He even vacuumed up the areas where he was working to remove drywall particles. He did a quality job and was extremely easy to work with. We would definitely use him again.

Months ago I purchased an Angies' List coupon for Handyman Matters. I was contacted by the company several times by phone to schedule the appointment, but I was not ready for the work to be performed then, and they said "fine; just call when you're ready." Once the appointment was scheduled, the company did ask me to reschedule for another day in the same week, which actually was a benefit as I was waiting for an ordered traverse rod which hadn't yet arrived. On the scheduled day, I received a call from the office letting me know the estimated time of arrival; later, Chuck called--cheerfully, I might add!--to tell me he was on his way. We had other work going on at the time, with furniture and dog barricades everywhere, but Chuck said he was used to that sort of thing and it didn't bother him. After having worked at other job sites all morning, this guy was still energetic, conscious of the allotted two-hours, and tried his best to fit as many projects as possible into the purchased timeframe. He asked pertinent questions but worked independently. Almost as important, he was very pleasant to work with. For my questions about patching drywall, he recommended Joe, also with Handyman Matters, whom he said was the "drywall expert" and who could patch and match drywall patterns with the best of 'em. The value derived from this Big Deal was superb, and I won't hesitate to employ this company again for all those small projects that inevitably arise.

Called company on a Monday, Contractor visited my home on Tuesday, job was completed the same week, on Friday. That's service!

Called a couple of times. All I got was voice mail. I left detailed messages. I never got called back!!???

Deshon (handyman) was on time, in fact early, and very courteous and professional. I had used an Angie's coupon for 2 hours of handyman work. I was not sure what I could fit in that 2 hours but he completed all five items - carpentry (new kickboard under small cabinet in utility room), replace an outdoor light bulb high in a tree, replace a screen on a filter for an outdoor fountain, flip over the fan blades of a ceiling fan in an outdoor porch, and plug a hole (with wood/caulking) by an outdoor light above garage door. SInce I had all the materials he needed to fix the jobs, there was no additional charge outside the coupon special price that I paid. While they were little jobs, they were done fast and efficient. I was pleased with the overall results.

My mother was at home when Deshon arrived to install a bathroom door. He called me at work and went over some of the problems he was facing and gave me some options. He trimmed the door to fit and capped the top where the cut made an opening. The door looks great, and I couldn't be happier. I will definitely call for Deshon again on other projects.

He showed up on time and listen to what we needed done around the house. He went to work and took care of everything! He did an outstanding job!! We were very impressed with him.

Joe showed up at 9am sharp and assessed the situation. He went to the hardware store and returned quickly to start working. The branch the swing was hung from is about 16' high, and he was able to hang it without a problem. He secured the gutter to the workshop, going beyond what was detached to secure it along the entire side of the structure. Overall, Joe was quick, tidy and friendly. I would definitely recommend Handyman Matters to my friends or anyone looking for a reliable handyman service.

The showed up on time, and charged the same price as their advertisement. The only issue is that I think the technician worked hastily, and the installation wasn’t done exactly right.

Their serviceman did an excellent job. He all of the necessary equipment with him, and he did everything I asked of him. I was really, really pleased with the entire interaction.

DeShawn is absolutely fabulous! He’s very considerate of my home, honest, and upfront. His estimates are accurate and reasonable. He gave me great advice on how I could save money. Really, there are not enough good things I can say about him! He always cleans up after himself thoroughly. When I call Handyman Matters in the future, I’ll request him specifically. I’d give him A+s across the board if I could.

The final price was went well over the estimate, and I would not use them for a small job again.

It went very well. The only thing he did not do was to level the rebuilt gate.

Their office staff was very responsive and helpful. The employee who helped me was very courteous and fast. His work definitely solved my problem. The only drawback is that some of the adhesive he used oozed up through cracks. This was just a minor situation, so I didn’t feel it was necessary to call the office about it. I just cleaned up the area myself.

Handyman Matters has always done good, reliable work. That’s why I keep going back to them.

As I recall, everything went smoothly. They were prompt, friendly, and an overall pleasure to work with.

The job itself was fairly easy, but I am satisfied with the work they did. I could have done the installation myself, but I decided to call them because I was very busy at the time. I wouldn’t have a problem referring them to others.

They did have to by twice because the grout didn’t stick the first time around. This was partially because I was told I could take a shower after 12 hours, but I really should have waited a full 24 hours.

I think Handyman Matters is a very professional firm. They provided a competitive bid in a timely manner. However, I decided to hire a business that was already working on another project for me. I’d have no problem contacting Handyman Matters for work in the future.

My overall experiences with them have been good. They arrive on time, and their work is of good quality.

Chris was delayed by a freight train that blocks off my neighborhood from time to time and called to let me know where he was. When he arrived he went right to work and knocked out all the small projects on my list. I was pleased with the work and will use them again. I used the Angie's List coupon and feel that it was a good deal.
