The response from Handyman Matters was fast and efficient. The appointment was schedule for the day after I called their office. The doors were adjusted and the gates fixed properly. The process of adjusting the doors took longer than expected and required the handyman to return on a second day to complete the work. As a result the cost increased from the $150 Angies List coupon. The second day's work was $170 for a total cost of $320.

A patching job on a door to fix a gouge was all right, but the light in the kitchen he supposedly secured to the ceiling came loose again, and the washing machine did not stay fixed and the same man came 2 months later and fixed it (I hope) and I believe I was overcharged a lot for that. Thus I am not inclined to use this company again.

The technician was efficient and capable. The scheduler was friendly and professional.

The service experience was great. Even though we bought a Big Deal, they got us on the calendar really quickly. The service provider was right on time and very knowledgeable. One of the things we wanted looked at was our fireplace - the back had a giant crack, and we had no idea what to do. He knew immediately it was just a panel that came out, and told us where we could go to get a replacement. He made the most of the time he had there, and provided solutions when we didn't know exactly what we needed.

The best approach to repair the concrete floor and glass door panels was uncertain at the start. The method of repair was determined after a short discussion and I was impressed with how quickly this was assessed. I watched the entire process and Deshon worked swiftly and meticulously, with the majority of the work spent outside in 100-degree heat.

Service went above and beyond. They worked cleanly and professionally and did a beautiful job. They were very kind and I would hire them again.

Handyman Matters did what they said they would do. A great job. Would hire again.

Daniel got to my house on time, then proceeded to fix the chandler then the trundle bed which took more initiative then we oringally thought, after all that he put up the netting. The netting is working great & grandaughters loved the trundle bed

I purchased a new front door at the local home improvement store, and went looking on Angie's List for a handyman company to install it. HandyMan Matters was offering a coupon/deal on Angie's List for $99 for two hours of labor, and so after discussing it with the HM/M receptionist, I purchased the coupon believing it would cover the installation based on what she told me. The handyman arrived, and seemed very competent and courteous. He performed the steps to remove the old door, and installed the new one. There were some challenges, but he managed to get the new door in place and working within 2.5 hours or so (the coupon was supposed to cover 2 hours, so I expected to pay a little extra and also to provide a tip). I would be thrilled with the experience except that a second handyman participated for part of the job, and I was billed for his time as well. I certainly did not ask for two workers, nor was it discussed that two would be needed and that my pre-paid two hours would be inadequate if two participated. They just automatically upsold me without discussion. In the end, the deadbolt on the front door is not possible to latch unless you shut the door just right, they did not reinstall the screen door that was there correctly, and they even stained my front sidewalk with a sealant compound they spilled. When the invoice was presented and the pre-paid hours had been blown away because of the second person, I was pretty shocked but just paid it. Later I contacted the company, and *eventually* managed to get the indifferent receptionist to understand my feelings of being baited and switched. The owner of the HM/M branch later sent me a brief apology and coupon (don't remember, maybe 10% off or a free half hour or something) over the misunderstanding. While this was a small amount of money, I did not use the coupon nor do I plan to use this company for anything more significant. It would be nice if they either did the job perfectly or charged the price we had discussed. Very professional in general, you might love them. I found something left to be desired.

Two days before I was hosting a baby shower in our home, our large 1980's framed mirror in the guest bathroom fell of the wall, knocking out two towel racks before it shattered in pieces on the floor. (Thankfully, no one was in the room.) In addition to having a ruined mirror, the towel bars were torn off the wall leaving huge gaping holes in the drywall. Neither my husband nor I had the time to make the repairs and I was preparing to have around 50 women in my home the next day. Handyman matters was able to send someone right away and I was even able to use a coupon from Angie's List. He patched and painted the walls, hung the two towel bars (plus one more), and hung the mirrors. It wasn't a big project, but it was time intensive and time was of the essence. Also, with the two modern mirrors that replaced our large framed mirror, the guest bathroom looked even better than it had before. This was the second time I have used Handyman Matters and I am certain that I will remember them for work in the future as well.

My project had fallen off their scheduled but they recovered quickly and had Joe out by the afternoon. I walked Joe through everything on my list. He told me what he could do. Made recommendations on who to call to fix the things he couldn't fix and got started on the items he could fix. He ran into a problem with the bathroom fixtures not fitting in the original granite. I found a granite company that same day (through Angies list) who will come out on Monday to recut and he made arrangements to return the following day and finish what was outstanding on my list of things to do. All in all, it was a very positive experience. I would certainly bring them back and will use this serivce going forward. Very professional, knowledgeable and honest. He didn't over commit and helped determine what my next steps would be on the items he couldn't fix.

It was great, he did everything I wanted and was very timely.

I called Handyman Matters on Wednesday and they were able to show up on Friday morning. Joe was great, he arrived and went to work almost immediately. Although he initially estimated a 2 hour repair, he was able to finish in 1 and did so without causing much superficial damage to the door frame, the door or the wall. Highly recommended!

I had under estimated the difficulty of the job, but Stacy and the guys were great at communicating and completing the task.

Our house has some residual cracks in the walls and ceiling from foundation problems that was fixed last year. Daniel Jackson from Handyman Matters arrived and took care of two major ones. Something in the attic space had poked a small hole in the ceiling of our Great Room when the house was jacked back into position. Even though the foundation problem had been taken care over a year ago, we still have some major cracks (some resulting from the foundation repair itself), the hole suddenly looked like it was growing bigger, so we hired Handyman Matters (whom we have had over on numerous previous occasions) to take care of it and one other one in the master bedroom.Daniel arrived on time, looked over the situation and got to work. The areas around the cracks were removed, the plaster replaced, dried, sanded, and contured to match the ceiling pattern.

Since he charged by the hour, he asked if there was anything else he could repair to work out the hour. We cleaned out my kitchen pantry, changed shelf paper, and threw away out of date items. We loaded my car with things I no longer needed and I took them to the Salvation Army. It was amazing! I highly recommend this nice man and plan to use his services again.

I needed access to under the master bathroom tub, immediately. Handyman Matters were very responsive and sent Deshon within a couple of hours. He completed the job perfectly. Very professional.

We used Handyman Matters of Dallas to fix what we thought was just a crack we had going along our living room ceiling. When they first came out to look at the crack, they were quickly able to diagnose a huge problem with our ceiling, that we honestly had no idea about. Apparently, prior to us moving into the home the previous owner had taken out a load bearing wall and the ceiling was basically collapsing on itself. This was a very dangerous situation, but the guys at Handyman Matters quickly figured out the most efficient and cost-effective way to basically re-build and reinforce our ceiling and fix the problem. The total project took 5 days over a two week period, and they even worked 3/4 of a day on July 4th. I thought we got a very fair price on the project, and the guys that worked in our home were always punctual and nice to talk to. They were also really good about communicating with us when bumps in the road arose during the project (e.g., finding live wiring in the attic) as well as what they were doing when the bumps occurred. Because of the complexity of the project, the owner also came over to our home one day to introduce herself and we continued to communicate with her throughout the project. Joe, one of their contractors, was also there throughout the whole project and did an amazing job on the sheetrock and texturing. You can hardly even tell that half of our living room ceiling was replaced. I think this a good company that does great work, and we will definitely use them again for projects in the future. I would specifically request Daniel. In my two experiences with the company, he was by far the best. Personable, honest, hard working. I can't speak for the entire company as I have limited experience with them but of the two handymen I have used, one was fantastic and the other was not but, in response to my concerns with the first handyman, the owner, Stacy, bent over backwards to make it right for me. I appreciate the rapid response and concern they showed in order to keep me as a client. And, they will.

Lance showed up on time and went to work after seeing what I needed done. The primary thing was the repair of the eaves and soffitts around my patio roof because a tree branch had fallen on it. He also repaired, replaced or installed all those little honey-do things that need to be done around the house. He wasted no time and only made the one trip to the home center for specific supplies.One of the things I had wanted done was to replace the pole of a light in the front yard that had fallen. Because it was electrical and more complicated than a simple plug replacement, he called the owner of Handyman Matters to come and explain why that wasn't something they could do and that the fix for the roof was a lot more complicated as well. Vicki and I came to a mutual agreement and the work was finished to my satisfaction.Vicki honored the $250 coupon with no hesitancy even though I hadn't yet purchased it so that was a savings too.I will be calling them again. I've already started my honey-do list.

As they came through they noticed an attic fan in my hall and they came back later to redo it and to put it on my outside. I can’t say how much I like them as a group. They are neat, knowledgeable, and efficient. They did a first class job.
