The service provided worked out fine. They came out in a timely manner and fixed what we requested so everything was fine. The work was good. There was one thing I wish we could have gone a more permanent fix on but it was kind of touchy thing, but he did fix it but it was more of temporary type of thing, overall it was good.

The door will now lock, but was unable to fix a closet door that was sticking

I left a msg, they called me back. I explained that I needed tile installed into our upstairs bath. We had already purchased the backer boards and tile. Just needed it installed. The gentleman on the phone went through a lengthy explaination of their process. Which I appreciated. I wanted them to come out, see the space and give a quote, but I was told the quotes were given over the phone. Then he told me for the work I needed it would be $2600.00, I was shocked. Its 45 sq ft of floor. He told me 2 hrs of labor just for the trim, even though I explained it has a full tub and double vanity, so very little trim. We ended up calling a friends referral and he is coming tomorrow to do BOTH of our bathrooms for $650, replacing the toliets, tile and all the trim!

They were on time and got the problem repaired much quicker than I had thought. They did a great job and knew exactly how to repair.

They arrived on time, Did the work well, returned the next day to do the painting and cleaned up afterwards. We were pleased with theri work and would recommend them.

The service was fabulous. She did a gorgeous job. She even saved the cabinet in the process. She thought out of the box and did a great job. I was very impressed. She also put up a child gate on the porch, which was another project she had to think out of the box on and that took the entire four hours. It was a very good price for excellent service. The quality was wonderful and she did exactly what I needed her to do. She was also on time. I would definitely use them again in a heartbeat.

We recently moved into our new home and wanted the old electric cooktop replaced with our new gas cooktop. We found at the time of installation that the space in the coutertop for our new cooktop was a little too tight and that we would have to have the granite cut in order to install the gas cooktop. Thats when I looked up handymen on Angie's list and found Handyman matters. From the get go, they were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Stacy whom I spoke to numerous times is SO helpful and took time to asnwer all my questions. Daniel came out the day of the appointment and helped us with the stove. He was super nice and very professional. He got right down to work and did a really nice job. The gas top was installed and hooked up and it works beautifully. I also had an issue with of our closet doors that he took care of. And we were able to use their coupon! We are looking to have a kitchen vent installed and I will definitely call Handyman matters again and have Daniel come out. Really great experience. Highly recommend!

Wonderful. The provider handled the table top right away and in a manner that saved time and was the best solution to knock out what could have been a time-consuming task. We determined what materials were needed to fix the fence and I went and bought those while she handled part 1 of the repair. When I got back with the wood, she was able to finish the project and the gate is more sturdy than its ever been.

It was great!! The owner, Stacy, contacted me the next day after I sent my inquiry. We discussed the job and scheduled the work. Michelle showed up a little later than scheduled, but had called and let me know she was running late, which was perfect. Michelle was very professional, a perfectionist, and very helpful with additional knowledge on fixing other items. I will definitely use Handyman Matters again, and will request Michelle.

The service was very good. They were very responsive and they sent a younger guy out and an older gentleman came to help him complete the work as well.

We contacted Handyman Matters and received a prompt reply with respect to their Half-Day promotional. Our handyman Daniel, showed up a few minutes early, inspected the problem and walked us through the appropriate repairs. During the inspection I remembered a few other items that were nagging me and asked if he could repair those items as well (I know that changing the scope of a project in flight is generally a bad idea, but he accomodated the request without issue). Daniel advised that he would have to return on the weekend to complete the work and was very communicative with his progress and plan of attack. The cost of materials was very transparent and he called us for verbal confirmation when buying materials. Daniel was very polite and very professional. The work was completed in the quoted time and for the expected price. We will be using him for work in the future.

Chuck came out on May 14th, 2013 to give estimate. I was a little concerned because he did not go up into the attic to see what lay ahead with installing the proper ventilation. He looked at fans and switches in both bathrooms. He did not pull down the light kits on the back porch to see what was above them. I waited for the bid however I finally called and it was sent on June 3, 2013 The bid came in @ between $1,020 -$1,270 I decided that the cost of the doors was prohibited so I asked to have them adjust the bid and take off the doors. I received the adjusted bid of $690-$930 on June 5, 2013 I was told it would take 2 days I told Bonnie the scheduler that I would be leaving on June 8th for vacation. We scheduled June 6th Thursday and Friday June 7th for work to be completed Tuesday June 4, the scheduler called to ask to see if Michelle could come out and start that work Tuesday, I said yes however I did not want to pay the service fee for a full day when Michelle would be here 3 hours. That was agreed upon. Michelle came, she was advised of the work that needs to be done, and she puts the fans together for the outside porch. Chuck and Michelle come on Thursday June 7th in the morning and begin work. Chuck leaves after some time. Michelle works all day. At the end of day, Michelle says see you Monday. I said wait, we are suppose to be done tomorrow because I am leaving. Appears there is a scheduling mix up. After talking to the scheduler, Michelle is able to be at my house on Friday June 8th @ 10 AM and work the rest of the day. By 5 PM onFriday, Michelle is not done. We now have a dilemma for us and for Handyman Matters. After deliberating, it is scheduled for Chuck to come back on Saturday, when my husband can be present. This poses problems both for us and Handyman Matters but seems to be the only solution. So far the work seems to be fine however when Chuck returns on Saturday, he is rushed and leaves drywall splatter in both bathrooms. When we receive the total hours we are very upset because it is way over the bid amount. We received an e-mail invoice from Stacy Huston the owner of this franchise of Handyman Matters. The bill was $2363.31 however Stacy deducted some of the time and reduced the amount by $520 which made our final bill $1843.31. This is still $913.31 over bid. The over cost seemed to be from inaccurate evaluation of the project and it reflected in the scheduling of time. Their work seems to be good other than the clean up needed after Saturday dry wall splattering.

At first the work looked good, but there were problems as soon as it rained. The doors warped badly and the board above the top of the door fell completely off, striking me in the arm when I was trying to close the door. I got someone else to come over and re secure the top board as by that time my husband was in a critical condition after having suffered a massive stroke. We finally placed a closer at the top of the door to keep it from being so warped.

We have used Handyman Matters numerous times for 2 years. As always, they are friendly, prompt, exact in their quotes and very efficient in their work. We now get coupons regularly for the service and they have never said it is something they cannot handle; from outside work to plumbing. We love them!

I was not happy with their work. They charge too much for the quality of work. When they finished, the bottom of the door drags on the carpet. When I called the office to make the appointment, the lady in the office underestimated how long it would take, she said 1-2 hours, and it took 4 hours. I misunderstood the labor cost, they said it would be 80 dollars an hour, and I thought it would be for 2 people because replacing the door is a 2 man job, but it was just for one person. They sent one person out, and when he came and saw what the job was, he called someone else to come and assist him. I was not impressed by their professionalism or their quality of work. He showed up on time. update: After a converstation with the owner of the business they came out and corrected the work to my satisfaction.

Daniel was very professional and friendly. He was early and had already removed the antenna by the time I arrived at the property. This in my rental property and he was not told by his office so unfortunately my tenant was disturbed He was extremely apologetic and said he would remind the front office to put on the order that it is a rental property. He then proceeded to cut a flap in the fence then install the hinges. He worked quickly and efficiently and very nice. Would definitely call him again.

Fabulous! Joe(?) was there first thing in the morning and got right to work. Very nice guy, professional and did a great job on everything. We will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone needing a handyman.

The set up was handled very professionally, arrival went fine, and the first visit was very productive with an excellent job being done on the paint in a difficult to access place. Having had a good experience I called for a second visit and the gentleman was again very professional. The only reason why I rate the experience a B instead of an A is that he spent a large amount of the allotted time on my number one priority job, repair of a french door latch, to no avail. He was unable to repair it and having spent so much time on that, wasn't able to get to many of the items on my list. When someone called after the visit to obtain my credit card payment, I expressed some disappointment but no one followed up on that. I will say that the other jobs he completed while here were done very nicely, the owner followed up with a very well thought out plan to find out how to repair the latch on a future visit, and when it turned out that I had a better coupon than I originally had communicated, she accepted that better coupon. Also, we decided to call a locksmith to fix the door, and he immediately explained that it was a unique latch system and the only way to fix it is to order parts from the manufacturer overseas. So, I would definitely use Handyman Services again- -it's just that on this visit, they weren't able to complete the repair I really needed done and did not recognize that this would be the case early enough to be really productive.

They were awesome. With regard to price, they had a special. The skill that they did it with really stood out for me. It was really a tough job to do, and they managed to do it quickly.

Chuck arrived on time and worked quickly to get the job done. He was professional and made sure he understood exactly what needed to be done. When the work was completed, he left the area spotless.

It was fantastic. They are very professional. Their boss, James, came and looked after they did everything. If it wasn’t perfect, he redid it free of charge. It is just an incredibly professional company. They clean up behind themselves too. The price was very reasonable.
