Tar was left a little messy. Don't think that I should have paid for two guys to come out. It seemed like one person should have been able to handle this job.

The workmen were on time, got to work immediately, keep the area cleaned up and were done within two hours. They even picked up the vanity from the hardware store on their way to my home. I sought out Handyman Matters after having no luck with the many installers the local hardware store (a national chain) suggested I call to have this vanity installed. The price was reasonable, the work was quality, and the outcome perfect. I must mention that there was an accident during the install where one of the workmen accidentally knocked down part of the retaining wall by our driveway. Handyman Matters sent people to review the wall immediately, assess the work effort, and had it repaired within a couple of days without any cost or effort on my part. While the original job was done well, their responsiveness to this accident has made me a lifetime customer. Finding a company who will provide this kind of service for repairing something that occurred by one of their contractors is rare.

The hole into the attic was where the tr had come loose because it was only attached to itself. He figured out a way to place an extra 2x4 to both block the hole and give something sturdy to attach the trim to. Good job.

As the door was not a perfect fit for the existing brick opening of the house, Chuck got some mahogany wood trim to match the door and finished the opening, that increased the initial cost of the installation but it needed to be done. I'm very pleased with the service and will call them again. Becca and Ruth in the office were very responsive to all my needs and questions. Apr 15, 2015 UPDATE I realized that the door was not even catching when shut. I can barely turn the deadbolt. My carpenter, who was not available for the install, has said that they didn't level the door off and is not re-doing it. So, I'm now having to spend more money to get it done right. Will never use or recommend their services. Due to an earlier situation where I was charged for work that wasn't finished, I'm giving them an F. The company did refund my money but the damage is done.

It was a good experience. He patched the ceiling in my bathroom and painted it. He also built & painted shelving for my kitchen cabinet. Two techs showed up, and they charged me for an extra hour.

This is the second third time I have used them for all different jobs. They do a great job.

They charge $85 plus a trip few. The area of the ceiling wasn't very large, about 3x3'--it took 2.5 hours, which seemed a bit long to me. But the patchwork looked good. The second day a guy came and didn't realize he had to paint. Put only one coat on--I'll probably have to repaint at some point. He didn't kilz the stain and I'm wondering if that will bleed through. THe paint job was mediocre at best and the ceiling white doesn't match.

They were fine. There weren’t a lot of options as far as actual companies, most of the others were individuals. I was happy with their service. They were on time and professional. They came in and did what I asked them to do and left. I don’t remember anything negative about them and there was nothing outstanding.

One guy came out to do the job and it took him an hour. He left the work area clean. I liked that he was very efficient and explained exactly what he was going to do. We had to reschedule twice before the day they were supposed to come out - first they rescheduled then I had to reschedule. I would tell my friends that he would come out and do the job you asked for any anything else - he would be very helpful. Once we got the date established he was punctual.

Very professional and if I could use his services in the future, I will.

We were very pleased. The craftsmen estimated the necessary amount of time well. The craftsmen were professional. (Two different craftsmen performed the work.) We will definitely use Handyman Matters for additional work.

They can't even return phone calls or get appointments scheduled, so I would wonder how good their work could possibly be.

They had to cancel the first appointment because the job they were doing was running too late. When they called to inform me of the problem and set up a new appointment, they offered my a 5 % discount on top of the 10% I got for using Angie's List. This was really appreciated. Joe was on time for the second appointment, came in and done a very professional job. He was very pleasant and would defiantly use this company again. Thanks for the great service!

The repair person was on time, did the repair and cleaned up after themselves.
