I appreciate that he called me back promptly with the needed information. Often these people will tell you they will call and never do, or I have to make the call back. This man was very kind, informative. I will call him if my new unit has any issues.

Dave Messick answered our phone call and we set up the appointment to check the clothes dryer, which wouldn't heat. He arrived at the appointed time and diagnosed the problem immediately. He had the necessary parts in his vehicle and was able to complete the repairs that day. It was such a refreshing experience to have a repairman who is clearly capable of good work, businesslike but still cordial, prompt and reasonable. We highly recommend him based on our experience.

Great. Did not try to over sell the job.

The washing machine had stopped working. I tried to fix it an ordered an installed a part. based on info acquired from the internet. Unfortunately, it was not the correct solution. Dave instantly diagnosed the problem, fixed it, put the machine back together and was on his way within an hour. I will use Star again and highly recommend it to anyone needing appliance repairs. In fact Dave ( Star Appliance Service ) , is the only service provider I have found on Angie's' that I would recommend. Dave gets 10 stars.

Called Dave and we were able to set an appt within an hour! Rushed home from work on my lunch hour to meet him. Was able to fix the problem and had me back to work for the afternoon. Would highly recommend again and will be the first person we call next time!

Came earlier than promised. Good, pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable. Tired to jump start the compressor with capacitors, didn't work. He cut to the chase. Need a new fridge. Only fifty nine dollars fee. Good work.

Dave Messick answered my call immediately and scheduled to come out the next day.He cleaned out debris from my water pump area in the dishwasher, ran it twice to check for leaks, inspected the pump to make sure broken glass did not damage it. Dave also inspected my washing machine and found a transmission issue that could not be repaired. He proceeded to provide feedback on trouble free washers and why he recommended them. Found the dryer to be working well. Easy to talk to, professional, courteous, and knowledgable. Would definitely use Star Appliance Service again.

Dave Messing called me within a couple of hours of receiving my call and arranged to come out the next morning. He arrived on time and quickly and efficiently repaired our dryer, having a replacement bracket with him to replace the one that had broken. The washer drum needed lubricating and adjustment. Mr. Messing checked the dryer vent outside and waited for a load to finish its cycle to make sure all was in working order. Before leaving, he showed me and explained why the washer drum will always make some noise (the type of suspension). Star Appliance Service is who I will call if any other appliances go out.

As stated above, he made the repairs and verified that the ice machine was in working order once again.

The experience went really well. The problem with my dishwasher was diagnosed quickly and he knew exactly what part was needed. I was impressed and glad that he had my dishwasher back up and running within a few hours. The most time was spent running to parts house to purchase the part, as it was not something he carried on his truck.

I called Star Appliance Repair, David answered, and we agreed on a time and date, He came on time, fixed the problem in less than half an hour, and explained to me how to handle it myself if it happens again. Very friendly and professional.

David was on time, very helpful, and educated me on several aspects of my fridge, which I really really appreciated. However, based on the costs people had posted on their reviews, I expected to receive a more reasonable estimate than I was given, especially since I knew the part he replaced was very inexpensive. Now, I know that one pays for the convenience of having that part in his truck, for the service, expertise and time, but it still seemed overpriced at $169. I went ahead with the repair, since I felt confident in his abilities, and I was desperate to get this fridge finally working, but I think if I used him again I would be more bold than I was today in negotiating the fee.

I went to Angie's List and found Star Appliance. I picked them because they had so many good reviews. Dave asked me over the phone to describe the problem, what kind of dryer, etc. He came out the next day and made the repair in less than an hour. He also told me that I had one of the best clothes dryers on the market (Whirlpool Estate) and should expect to get many more years of use out of it.

Dave was very professional on the phone and he had returned my call promptly. I asked if he could come to the house to look at my dishwasher during a small window of opportunity when my father would be there while I was having some painting done. It didn't fit with Dave's initial schedule, but he came out during that time anyway. He figured out the problem - left to pick up a part - came back and fixed the dishwasher for under $200. Since I was at work, Dave also left an invoice for me with my dad. He couldn't have been more accommodating and professional! I had contacted a different appliance repair person first. He told me the dishwasher needed to be replaced and wouldn't come out to look at it. Thank goodness I called Dave! I highly recommend him!!

I called and spoke with David Messick. He asked several questions to determine whether it would need calibration or a part. After giving him the details, he promptly scheduled and appointment and calibrated the oven. David was thorough, honest, punctual and fair! I highly recommend his services and will use him again if needed.

Dave came right out to give an estimate and scheduled a time to come make the repair on our dishwasher. He was on time and very professional. I was so pleased with his work that when our garbage disposal stopped working I called him again. I love that he was on time and was upfront with all costs.

Mr. Messick was on time, very knowledgeable, very nice. The part had to be ordered and he came earlier than I expected. I will use him again when needed.

When I called to book the appointment, I wasn't too confident that he would show up (didn't seem real interested in the business). But he came out as scheduled, examined the refrigerator that wasn't cooling, left to get a part, returned and fixed it. It started cooling right away. This is a secondary refrigerator so I didn't see what he was doing.

He came when is said and did a great job fixing our washing machine.

David is great. He had an appointment available right away and showed up exactly on time. He took apart the dryer and assessed the problem with the valve in the dryer not closing properly. He made a recommendation for us that it wasn't worth repairing given the age and condition of the dryer and that we'd be better off putting the money for repairs toward a new dryer. We appreciated his honesty. I'd definitely recommend him and use him again. He was great.

Dave gave an honest effort to fix my problem and when he couldn't he did not ask for any payment. Wat could be more fair than that?

David was very responsive and provided a quick appointment time even though this was not an emergency. He called ahead as he said he would and arrived on time. He diagnosed the issue as a minor problem and just had to make a small adjustment on site. He only charged me the trip fee and said that if the problem arose again within the next (I think) 30 days, he would come out again without charging me a new fee.
