Description of Work: Checked over our wall mounted oven which has stopped working. Found that the main circuit board was damaged and a replacement was no longer available. New oven was required.

Description of Work: He diagnosed the problem with our wall ovens which was with the control panel. He determined the part was no longer available due to the tsunami in Japan wiping out the factory.

Description of Work: We have a Maytag Bravo gas dryer and the pulley had come off. David came out in about 3 hours to assess the problem, got the parts and it was fixed the next day. About two weeks latter the same problem occurred and David fixed it at no charge. After a search on the internet this is a recurring problem with this dryer model. Loc tite is the recommended fix, which is not a normal fix. David was timely, communicated well and professional

Description of Work: Our fridge was acting up so we called Dave first thing on a Friday morning. He was at our house before 10am. Very professional. Quickly diagnosed our problem and shared the bad news. He gave us some good recommendations for solid brands to consider. He could've recommended a repair but he was honest and upfront in saying " you need a new fridge". We recommend calling Dave if any of your appliances act up. His rate is extremely reasonable.

Description of Work: I called for repair to my refrigerator, leaking and not cooling. I was able to contact proprietor immediately, he set a date within about 24 hours for the repair, called before he came, and came at the time he said he would. Repair was quickly done, he explained some important matters to me about the refrigerator's operation, and price was reasonable.

Description of Work: I requested service to connect my Whirlpool dryer which could not be done by movers. A new connector which fit the space available for my dryer was installed.

Description of Work: My 5 year old Kenmore refrigerator/freezer side-by side stopped working! Instead of calling another company, which I usually do, I referred to Angie's List for a repair person. I left a message for Star Appliance Service after 6 in the evening and Dave returned my call early the next morning. He made an appointment for 11:00 a.m and arrived shortly before the scheduled time. He checked my refrigerator thoroughly, taking almost an hour of his time. Unfortunately for me, the refrigerator was pronounced dead/too expensive to repair! However, I did appreciate the promptness, thoroughness, and diagnostics of his services.
