- Bobby Castillo was very friendly, professional and was on time for our appointment...he was always very professional in the work he performed for me...Bobby estimated the length of time it would take to replace the toilet and his estimate was very accurate...he even checked out a couple of other plumbing problems I had before he left...I would definately use his services again.

Excellent service My AC unit died in late July with Houston temperatures climbing to 100 degrees. Mike answered my call and came the same day Saturday to give me an estimate. He tried to repair but unit was not repairable. We scheduled AC unit replacement for Monday morning. When I returned from work Monday night around 7 PM, Mike was still working on installing the new AC unit. It seemed the first AC unit Mike brought was defective and Mike had to return the AC and get a new one. He was stuck in Houston traffic all that afternoon. He is so dedicated. Dedication and commitment to service is a quality I admire. Mike has these qualities. I hate to compare.... The AC unit once installed, needed to be inspected by a Houston civil service agent. We arranged a date for the inspection, I waited for the inspector, but the inspector never called or came by. It turns out that the inspector came by and stopped at the gate to my community knowing that he just needs to make 1 phone call to get through the gate but he never even bothered to make that effort ; he just sat there, the effort of calling from the gate phone was too much for him and he turned around without doing his job.

Service was thorough and fairly quick. everything was explained to my satisfaction. Happy with results.

Mike showed up in the evening one day to look the system over and give an estimate. Had some scheduling issues the following day, but showed up the day after that and completed the work in a timely and professional manner. He even pointed out a few things for me to watch and be aware of, in order to prevent expensive repairs in the future. All in all, a good experience and the house is significantly cooler now.

Going into Memorial weekend our AC stopped producing cold air. I have a good contact who has supported me in the past with any concerns surrounding my AC. Typically it's been the capacitor that always needed replacement. When the AC stopped working in this case, my personal contact was out of town for Memorial weekend. I thought that either I would suffer through the weekend until my contact came back from out of town, all the while putting my wife and children through an uncomfortable experience. Alternatively, I felt that I would face paying the normal, unreasonable, service rates to have someone come out and tell me that the capacitor was bad. Instead, when I called Mike, he was not only extremely helpful on the phone but he showed up that day to assist. Still skeptical, I felt that I would be told that I would need a new AC unit. To my surprise, Mike expressed that it was the fan that was bad, along with the capacitor. Furthermore, he took it one step beyond and evaluated my coolant levels and it was determined that I was extremely low on coolant as well. In the end, I felt that not only was Mike very helpful, he provided a service that was extremely reasonable in price and even spent the extra time to make certain that the AC would work fine going into the Memorial weekend. I would recommend Mike to anyone and personally, even though I have a personal contact in the business, I would consider using Mike in the future. Thanks Mike!

I called Diaz Services at approximately 2:30 and described the issue I was having. He told me he could come out the same day, and would be there after 4pm. Once he arrived he immediately got to work. He worked for approximately 2 hours looking to find and fix the short in our system that fried the transformer. By the time he was finished we had cold air flowing from the a/c vents again. In the end, he had to replace our a/c transformer with a new one that had a fuse, so that he could beable to locate the short in our system that caused it stop blowing cold air. I found Mr. Diaz to be friendly and professional. I will definitely use his services again.

I got Mr. Diaz number from Angie's List. He was polite when I originally spoke to him on the phone. I explained to him that I was at a hotel because my home was too hot to stay in and that he would need to give me lead time to meet him at my house. He agreed to meet me at my house at 4:00pm. I texted then called mr. Diaz to confirm our appointment starting at 3:00pm because I was quite a ways away from my home. I knew Mr. Diaz could text because he asked me to text him my address when I first called. At 4:10pm I called Mr. Diaz and did not receive a response. I called him again later and a full 45 minutes after our appointment he called to say that he was 'on his way' and it would be another 30 minutes. 30 minutes came and went and I even waited an additional 20 minutes. The heat was pretty overwhelming. The day before I waited on a referral from a friend who showed up drunk. I was at my wits end - hot, tired and fed up. I got in my car and left. A full hour and 10 minutes after the 'additional 30 minutes' began, Mr. Diaz called to say he was at my front door. I told him I could not wait and did not want some one who was so inconsiderate of my time working on my home. He was very rude and mentioned several times in the conversation that I could just pay for more nights in the hotel because I deserved it for not waiting on him, AND I was at fault for NOT CALLING HIM so that he could tell me that he was going to be later than the original 'second chance' 30 minutes. Sorry. That just speaks volumes as to Mr. Diaz's commitment to customer service and his work. Originally when I spoke to Mr. Diaz, I told him that I was flexibile but that he would need to call me or text me and let me know when he would be there because my home was about 100 degrees. I sat in the driveway burning gas in my car waiting on him for nearly an hour and he couldn't even call to let me know when or if he would be there and then he was beligerent when I left. How was I to know if he was coming or not? He didn't show at 4:00pm as arranged. He didn't show at 4:30pm. Was he ever going to show up? and then it was MY FAULT for NOT CALLING HIM. His mentioning to me that I could pay for another night in a hotel, indicated to me that he was sure he had me over a barrel and I would pay for whatever he wanted to get the air conditioning repaired. Funny, that didn't happen.

I got the number from Angies list and called Mr. Diaz. I explained my problem to him. My drain pan under the evaporator coils was rotted through and water was leaking onto a bedroom ceiling. After several minutes conversation he asked where I lived. I told him and he said I lived too far away and I was not in his area. I understand his situation but ended up feeling a little irritated. I thought Angies list only put in companies close to my area. He told me to go back to the list and find someone else.

Mike was great to work with. He knew what he was doing and also knew how to get it done the cheapest way possible. He's a regular guy and understood where we were coming from when we didn't want to replace our whole A/C system. (I still think we were right to just replace the minimum amount possible. Why fix the parts that aren't broken?) We had several quotes (maybe 7?) on replacing our furnace and replacing the entire A/C system. All of the quotes were around the same amount of money, except for 2 who were a little higher. We went with Mike because he was friendly, competent, and had great reviews on Angie's List. A major part of our furnace broke. We could have replaced the part, we decided it would be more cost effective to replace the furnace. Mike was great about giving us his opinion but not being pushy about it. He had two guys perform the gruntwork - getting the old furnace down and placing the new furnace. When it came time to do the technical stuff, Mike came to check their work and place the gas line correctly. They made sure everything was in working order before they left and ran a full diagnostic to be sure. The workmen cleaned up after themselves (and didn't really make a mess in the first place).

On Sunday, the electricity went out for a minute, but later noticed that my A/C compressor wasn't working as the house was not cooling. Checking Angie's list I found Diaz had great marks and called as I was tired of the people I have used in the past. He was here 45 minutes later! I stayed with him and we discussed and he fixed the problem plus added a couple of pounds of freon. Very professional. Only the second time I've used Angie's list and was very pleased both times.

Overall, went quite well. Due to change in state requuirements that he did not know about, failed first inspection, but the problem was promptly rectified.

Mike Diaz came out in a timely manner and gave me a thorough quote. I asked for additional information about replacing all the duct work and he replied in a timely manner. He came out with two other employees and they worked three days to get the job done and worked around my schedule. They cleaned up and carted off everything. They job was completed as scheduled. He gave me some additional advice on types of filters and getting attic insulation. In addition, he noted that my dogs had been urinating on my outdoor unit and that this might cause problems in the future. He advised that I fence off the unit with fencing at least three feet from the unit. He is a very careful and meticulous worker and was on site at all times. He included installing molding around the attic stairway to make it look more finished. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Can’t say enough good things about Mike. Extremely nice guy and very accommodating. He really cares about his customers and really knows his stuff. Mike works until the job is done right. He doesn’t try to sell you anything you don’t need, yet lets you know what your choices are. We had 2 a/c units which were both 18 years old and on their last legs. Mike went above and beyond to keep the 1st unit running until the new one could be installed. Then it was just a matter of a few months before we had to have the 2nd unit replaced. Once again, Mike worked long and hard, staying into the night to complete everything. What a guy!

He always called us back and has always been very friendly and professional. We felt comfortable with his approach and the fact that he advised us of what would happen if we did not take care of this huge expense soon and what he said would happen did happen and we knew he was not just trying to make more money. We had a company come out and told we needed to replace our a/c and it would be 10000.00?? Thats when I subscribe to Angie's list. Mike gave us an estimate of 2000.00. What's the difference? Maybe others would have paid 10000.00, but it is stereotypical to believe that the size of your home and what kind of car you drive is an indication that you will pay a high cost for what you need/want. We showed the 10000.00 guy the door.

My AC went out at 5:30 PM on a Friday and I fiddled with it until 7 PM then jumped on Angie's List to find a repairman. I called this company at 7:30 PM expecting to leave a message for a callback the following morning, but instead Mike answered! I was so pleased I gave him the short story and asked if he would be available for a Saturday service call. Mike said no problem and promptly called the following morning and came to the house to take a look at the unit. Just like all the previous reports, this guy is straight up and honest as he tried to get the unit back into service by simply replacing the solenoid (which needed to be replaced), but after that was finished he determined the fan motor was not working either, so he replaced that and bingo COLD AIR! I am the only owner of this house and it has had no major AC repairs other than yearly service inspections since 1998, so I consider myself lucky and had zero problems performing the needed repairs. I just want to thank everyone else who has left reports about Mike's service because that's what I went by to pick him to repair my unit. I will definitely use Mike for all my future AC/Heating work. He is soft spoken, has high quality (up to date) tools to diagnose problems, and he never tried to pressure me into buying parts I didn't need.

I learned some new things about air conditioners and I was very pleased that I didn't have to pay a large sum of money. Mr Diaz was very honest and up front.

He was very honest with me. He said that he doesn't typically do work on that brand of air conditioners, but he gave me some advice and checked a few things for me. What he did check ended up solving my problem. I would highly recommend him to others for air conditioning problems.

I called to make an appointment to have my A/C unit diagnosed and was told they could be there between 9 and 10am the next day. Great! I waited until 11am before having to call and ask if they were coming. I was told his current job was taking longer than expected. He showed at around noon. The problem was immediately diagnosed and repairs were completed that day since he had the parts on his truck. Great service and reasonably priced! Only complaint was not receiving a courtesy call for the delay.

The technician came right away then stayed to finish the job. We couldn't have asked for better service. The weather was very hot and he stayed until dark to finish it. It was on a Sunday. I will use them again in the future.

I noticed a pool of water in my kitchen one afternoon recently...noticed that the water was coming from around a light fixture directly under the air conditioning unit in my attic. Upon inspection, I noticed that the drip pan under the unit was full of water and that the secondary drain outside was releasing a large volume of water. Thinking that the drain from the attic unit was clogged, I placed a call to Diaz Services that evening and left a message. I didn't hear back from the them so I waited until first thing in the morning for them to open and called. He was involved in an installation that morning but promised to come by that afternoon. He did...and after careful inspection of the situation, blew some compressed air through the drain. We weren't sure this would fix the situation. Fortunately, it did because replacing a rusted out and leaking drip pan would have been expensive since the unit was installed directly on top of the pan, making replacement a huge job. He suggested a cost effective alternative (re-routing the drain). He also checked the freon in system and noticed that the unit did not seem to be de-humidifying as efficiently as it should.Mike is fair, cost effective and not out to gouge anyone. The only potential drawback is that, since he is a one man show, he may not be immediately responsive. I think his honesty, integrity and expertise is worth a little inconvenience. I'll use his him again for my AC/heating needs.

This is the most unbelievable story! Mike crawled back up in our attic one last time after closely listening to us. He found that our dampers (located in the back of the attic) to 4 rooms never had the paper covering them removed. That paper was left there since the original installation! That meant that the AC was never fully blowing into our livingroom or upstairs bedrooms for 8 years. I am so mad at all the previous AC companies that we paid over the last 8 years to come and check our AC and not one of them crawled back there to check that. Those young AC Tech's from big name companies would have gotten their pants dirty for sure. Mike was covered with attic debris when he got down from there as he had to crawl in a small space to find the problem. I cannot say enough kind words about Mike and his company. He was reliable, on time, thorough and most importantly experienced. He was not here to sell us something. He came here to address the problem. I highly recommend Diaz Services AC & Heating and Mr. Mike! Way to go. We are very happy customers to say the least.

Mr. Diaz arrived when scheduled, and immediately went to work. He completed the work to our satisfaction (like a literal breath of cool air!!) and charged us exactly the amount of money he had estimated. Mr. Diaz was our second opinion, with the first company telling us that while they could repair our leaking a/c system, they would only be able to guarantee their work for 30 days as the unit was over 10 years old and very likely to fail. The first company strongly recommended that we replace our entire a/c unit for $5000+. We called Mr. Diaz for a second opinion, and he came by our house the same evening as our call, was able to visually diagnose our problem, and provided us with an estimate that was significantly (like $350) less than the previous company had estimated for the same repair work. Not only do we plan to have Mr. Diaz as our a/c repair person, but we have already referred him to one of our neighbors who is also having an a/c problem!

He came when he said he was going to. He accepted my coupon from Angie's List. I don't have negative to say about him.
