Description of Work: Diaz Services Air Conditioning & Heating came out to look at my air conditioning unit. The first person that came out misdiagnosed it. I had to actually call someone else out to fill in the freon and actually get things fixed.

Description of Work: Mike Diaz the owner was very professional and upfront. I called DIAZ AC for a 3rd opinion and felt he was the most knowledgeable and honest person. He gave me a verbal quote and I accepted the quote on the spot. His team was out the next day and completed the work in a matter of a few hours. I highly recommend Diaz AC.

Description of Work: He first came out on a rainy night very late. He seemed to be a shady person. How do you go out back to check the air conditioning module when it is totally dark. He just looked at it then returned another day to really check it out. To me this was very unacceptable not professional work. I no longer live at that house so I will not need any work.

Description of Work: Mike has been our AC&Heat guy for 22 years. We have always been able to count on him. He returns calls and shows up when he says he will. Great service.

Description of Work: I called at about 10am after perusing angies list reports for about 2 hours. He said hecouldn't get here before noon and I told him if he could give me about an hour's notice I would be home waiting for him. Hecalled and arrived within an hour at about 2pm. I explained the problem with the first call and showed him when he got here. He removed 3 screws and loosened 2 others to remove a cover on the outside unit, looked at it and said $190. I was astonished at how quickly he diagnosed the problem and he just said "I've been doing this for 40 years and I know what I'm doing." He replaced a couple of capacitors and checked that I had sufficient freon in about 15 minutes. The system began working immmediately. I do not begrudge him a single penny of the charge. I figure I paid about $4.50 per year of his experience and you only need to peruse the reports on Angie's List to understand the difference between someone who really does know what he's doing and the pretenders. Personally he was extremely courteous and professional and I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends.

Description of Work: Our a/c unit was running poorly and not cooling very well. Mike came over and climbed in the attic, which was not to hot since we were kinda air conditioning the attic unbeknown to us. He put screws on the cover to prevent that from happening again. He also looked at all our filters and checked the coils, and freon. He gave us some great pointers to help us on keeping the house cool. One of the filters that we used was actually not doing a sufficeint job. He also rinsed out the coils on the outside unit.

Description of Work: Had a 2-ton A/C unit (condenser and air handler I had already purchased separately) installing in some unfinished space above my garage. A damper system was also installed because of some electrical components/computers that will be running in a closet. This also included vents, returns, copper tubing, grills, ducting, thermostats, and a custom built stand for the A/C to sit on. Pretty much a fresh install with no existing infrastructure.

When contacted he stated that he had lost our phone number. He came out the following day and briefly surveyed our system. He stated that the entire system needed to be replaced (Mind you- our system was running and cooling - we just wanted a service check). We asked for an estimate and he said he would have to come back because he had 'forgotten' a tool that he needed to measure the heat load. So we scheduled two subsequent appointments with him - that he failed to keep. Finally on the third try, he came out and did a more 'thorough' inspection. This time he recommended two options: A) install additional return and clean the system-$900 or B) complete replacement of both the outside and attic units -$5150. He 'strongly' recommended option B. We decided to get a second opinion.

Description of Work: I called Diaz Services to come & check my 2 A/C units at the beginning of the season. I have been in this house for 6 months. One unit had excess Freon, the other was very low on freon. Mr Diaz recommended the replacement of one evaporator to fix the problem & stabilized the freon level in the other. He also cleaned parts of the outside of the unit. He recommended digital thermostats & even showed me how to replace them by replacing one for me. He recommended which ones to buy (at a hardware store) & even supplied the batteries which I was out of.
