Overall very good experience.

Only one job was completed. It took about 8 hours and cost me $400. The estimated time for completion of all 5 jobs was way off. 4 of the 5 jobs should have taken less than 30 minutes.

I was not impressed at all. I used that within a couple of days of buying it. I figured three hours would give him plenty of time to do at least the majority of the little jobs.

Nolan, the owner of Red Rooster Fence Repair, was running a little late on another job (but so was I), so he kept in good contact, and arrived within the hour. He quickly assessed what was needed per the gate, and made a quick run to the hardware store. The gate involved a lot more than slat repair, but Nolan didn't blink, he told me it might take a little longer than originally anticipated, but he still finished within the hour. Then, I supplied him with a section of 8-foot fence, which was a difficult task replacing because it was back-facing my yard, and the front faced on the neighbor's yard, over a 5-foot retaining wall. No problem, Nolan fixed it in about an hour, and he carted off the old fence. Nolan was honest and quick to solicit my input, and then quick to do the job. Well worth the money and time.

Raymond arrived on time and was ready to begin work. We spent a few minutes discussing what was to be done. He ran into a little snag when he tried to replace the brick molding (I believe that's what it was called) and he had to drive to several different places until he found it. He also took the old molding to Home Depot to match up the stain color. I found him to be somewhat perfectionistic in his work and I was very pleased with the outcome. The stain dried a little darker than the original, but it isn't a problem at all. I paid $100 for 3 hours (Angie's List Big Deal), but he was working for me for 5 hours counting the driving all over to find the molding, but he didn't complain and didn't charge any extra. I will use them again.

He fixed the doors and I can't recall if he did anything else. However, he was very professional and did exactly what we needed. I was very slow in filling out this form, but we are about to use their service again!

Overall went pretty well. The provider was courteous, effective and got the job done. The overall quality of the work was good. Price was very good. I have nothing negative to say about the provider at all. However, I have since found / used (based upon a reference from a friend) another similar provider who I just liked a bit more - so I will probably not use Red Rooster again.

The crew of two men and one apprentice arrived as scheduled. They worked through lunch in order to complete the job of repairing three gates and replacing three fence posts. The workmanship was excellent. The men were professional. They cleaned up the wood remains and trash upon completing the job. They suggested an excellent wood sealant to extend the life of the wood. I applied the sealant and the gates look great and work perfectly.

frustrating...this contractor is not credible

Things went well for the three hours I paid the handy man. We also discussed some future fence repair once I save up some money. Raymond was the handy man that Ray the owner sent out to my home, he was a nice guy. He works hard and is trustworthy. I would contact this company again. It was a Saturday morning on Raymond's day off, so he was a little late, but no worries. It was also my day off.

He had to come back and redo one window of french door as it was sweating between the double panes. Still an issue. The trim on the door is OK The trim on the window wasn't redone, but patched. There was a spot where the paint had bubbled and I told him to repaint the frame. He scrapped off the bubble but I had to call him back to paint it. I wanted the whole frame painted, but he only 'patch' painted that one area. He is a nice man, but would take days/weeks to line up jobs. I had to re contact him several times when he failed to reply to requests to set up schedules. For awhile the only way I had of contacting him was through Angie's list, even after he did the first job. I gave him another chance for the door/window frames. The only reason he contacted me at the end, I feel, was because I forwarded him the Angies List feedback form and said if he didn't fix the problems I would give him an 'F'. He came within 24 hours. Being a woman of my word I will not give him an 'F'. But, would not use him again.

I purchased a deal for 3 hours of handyman service for $99. I needed help baby-proofing my house because my baby was quickly turning into a toddler and getting into everything. The handyman arrived on time and asked what I needed done (I hadn't specified in any of our correspondence). I showed him the gate, the "babyproofing kit" I'd purchased and an assortment of things I'd ordered from Amazon that said they would secure furniture to the wall. I was a little nervous because I didn't know if they would work with my furniture. The handyman looked at everything and said he was familiar with it all. He asked me what the highest priority tasks were and said he'd work in that order, which I appreciated! He told me he'd likely have to do some modifications to get the equipment to work with my stuff, especially the TVs since the straps were made for flat screens. He did a number of clever hacks that didn't damage my furniture or the walls. It was a great experience and I'll likely have them back for other handyman work I need done. I really appreciated his help.

We had used them before and the owner was great. This time they sent out a handyman though and we had some issues with him. After speaking with the owner about the issues though, he came out himself and fixed everything.

Staff came out to hang blinds and we discovered custom blinds were cut too short so they couldn't install them. They rescheduled the appt after I received my new blinds. Appreciate their flexibility.

OK, except I was left to do the painting myself and so the job looks worse now than when the contractor left.

It was really good. What made it a good experience is the price and they were really professional. They got everything done really well. Everything was fine.

Ray did a tremendous job. I had him build me a couple of wood shelves, fix a storm door handle, fix bedroom closet doors that came off their tracks, and repaired some door knobs around the house that I didn't install properly. I will definitely use them again. Couldn't believe how quickly he got those items done, which made my wife happy as well.

I didn't have anything too complex to do, but I am just too busy to do it. I had several failing towel racks and coat hooks that needed reinstalling and a grout line in the shower that needed replacing. I also had him caulk (prep) a paint grade cabinet for painting and he helped me take off and put on a new set of mattresses that I didn't think he would, but we had time. Raymond was friendly and efficient. I would not hesitate to have him back again and at $50.00/hour, which is their normal rate, still consider a great deal.

Good work on the gate, not so much on the others. They do not bring any materials to fix things and don't make trips to the hardware store, so the utility of the service is limited.
