The Door Guys

Ryon was extremely helpful when we needed our patio doors replaced. I had called Pella and they quoted me a price almost 4 times what it cost for me to buy new doors and have The Door Guys install them. Plus, Pella had at least a 4 week lead time. Ryon took the time to come out to my house to look at the old doors and then helped me select and order the replacement doors through TriSupply, and then Ryon and his crew installed the new doors, disposed of the old doors and cleaned up very well. And, this was all within a week. I HIGHLY recommend The Door Guys!

Everyone was very professional and took care of details. Cleaned up work area and the installation is AWESOME. We are more then and hour away and they were here when they said they would be. Great JOB by all. Would use them again for sure. New front door next.

They were very helpful because it was a weird kind of size and everything. They were wonderful. They were very professional and listened to what I really wanted and took the time to come out and see the problem with the door, area and everything.

Very well, they now work perfectly and are shimmed and sealed.

Ryon came to our home and measured our door and advised us of a Highlands company making doors like we want. We drove to Highlands and selected a beautiful door to be made for us. When the door was delivered, Ryon returned and installed it. We are thrilled with our new door!

Ryon patiently answered all of my questions up front with multiple calls over a two week period. He is over an hour away from us and was able to provide an estimate without a single visit by providing images and measurements. Ryon also provided a supplier for the door, which isn't included in the service cost. There was no pressure with using his supplier, but it made the process go much smoother. Ryon's team showed up on time and installed the door per our request in about 4 hours. Our experience was excellent and we would hire again or recommend. Thank you!

They were on time, finished in one day and the doors looked good. Wish they had painted them too. Great job!

To get a hold of the Door Guys, you will probably have to e-mail them and call them to get a response. My reason for calling them was for a repair. They are more inclined to be installers, but will work with you if he thinks he can repair your door. Be prepared to do some of the leg work for your repair. He may send you to the Hardware store to get some of the needed supplies (at his direction). The reason as I stated before, is that these guys are more of a door installer than door fixers. That being said, you couldn't ask for a more thorough and professional job. I went to the hardware to get some weatherstripping (mine had been painted over) and a new door sweep. The installer showed up propmptly at the designated time (on a Sunday!) and spent several hours taking the frame apart and basically re-squaring the door frame and reinstalling weatherstripping. As it turns out, it wasn't installed properly in the first place. There were other problems that he noticed and fixed. It was obvious the guy had a lot of experience. Now the doors work magnificently and I am very happy that I can use them again.

They are fine, but a little less on finishing work like caulking the trim work, and sealing the wood work.

He was very good at the design part. He suggested many styles which would coordinate with our existing front door. He was very patient with our questions and our time frame. He had us pick out the raw materials at his preferred lumber store. In this store we were able to pick from several different door styles. We eventually picked out window panes with a grove cut in the glass. Very pretty. The materials were dropped off at our house by the lumber yard a few days later. We were not so happy with the quality of the wood - there were many splinters and frayed edges, especially on the wood glazing of the windows. Of course this is a supplier issue, not exactly an issue with The Door Guys. However, since The Door Guys do not do any painting or staining or finishing, it became our problem. The Door Guys installed the doors very quickly - taking perhaps 4 or 5 hours. The final installed product is very sturdy and well designed. However, there were a couple of nails that ran astray that I requested he fix - which he did. But I would have expected that he would have done that without asking. Also, the lumber company did not deliver a long enough piece of molding to run the entire length of the door opening. So The Door Guys create a butt joint to fix the problem - which I didn't like. So The Door Guys came back and put a nice, full length molding properly. Overall, we are very happy with the design and solid installation. The only issue we had was the splintering of the wood product itself. We were also required to find our own painters to finish the wood. The Door Guys told us that a good painter could cover us these issues. However, the painters were not able to completely fix that issue.

I was comparing them to the service Home Depot offered. They were formally contracted through them and they are no longer doing that. Their price and knowledge would be a lot better. Some of the advice they gave sounded pretty good. They were always fine. The doors that they installed were great. I have no complaints about the door that they installed. The price was reasonable. The problem became that the gentleman did not mean to hold off the door and that was no word explain to any point in time and I was just basically begging for fertility. And that was a bid turn off for the service company for me.

They were wonderful. I can't say enough good things about these guys. They are so nice and professional. Everything they did was top notch and correct. Lowes had made some ordering mistakes, but Door Guys were very patient and left me feeling at ease. They always are very prompt in calling back or emailing back if you have a question or concern. They also take alot of pride in their work. A+ Experience!

They installed a quality door product and did an excellent job in a very short time.

I hired a contractor to replace the outside trim around my door that was rotted. They came out over Easter weekend. This OTHER contractor ripped out my door frame and destroyed all the materials I purchased including my storm door. 20 hours later I was in tears. A neighbor told me about the DOOR GUYS. I CALLED THEM IMMEDIATELY. Ryan, the owner was so nice. He assured me his company could fix the door job gone bad by this other contractor. Juan showed up the next day. In 2.5 hours he was able to remove the doors, frame, trim and the destruction left by the other guy. He built a new frame, installed new trim inside and out and put in a new door jam. Both doors have doggy doors and he aligned them perfectly!!! Not only did Juan do an amazing job, he was very polite and professional. If you ever need anything done to a door, THE DOOR GUYS are the ones to call!! They turned my nightmare into a perfect fairy tale ending!!!

Work was done on time and as scheduled. Ryon Oates even agreed to pick up the door from Home Depot for no extra charge. Good job by his installer, Juan, who kept me informed on issues as they came up, but did not try to charge extra for extra effort. Cost was less than 1/3 that quoted by Home Depot installer.

We assume that they did a good job. The only complain that I have is that we had a coupon that says they would install two doors for 350. I asked him if I need to email him the coupon and he said no because we were Angie's List customer but he ended up charging a second price for the doors. He didn't honor the coupon. We haven't followed up on him and he was not concerned to follow up us too. They did it in the extent that we passed the inspection and I was glad for that.

Ryon was very helpful and informative especially considering I had to go through TDI to get my doors approved for our windstorm insurance. I was not familiar with this process and it seemed confusing but Ryon helped me every step of the way, even contacting TDI when there were questions. He replied to emails and phone calls immediately and even so kindly picked up the doors for me since I did not have a truck and could not pick them up myself. He was punctual and the whole process didn't take but a few hours. I would highly recommend The Door Guys! Thank Ryon!

Perfect. After trying to get locks on doors to open and close myself for years I will never try to do this again. Ryan is so fast and accurate. All my exterior doors open and close perfectly for the first time. Extremely knowledgable and very pleasant to deal with. Cleaned up everything after job. Was always on time and kept in touch while 2 custom doors were being made by a company he uses- infinity Doors who make beautiful solid wood doors.

I initially contacted The Door Guys a year ago when I was starting to think about replacing several of our interior doors with solid core doors for extra sound proofing. I'm pretty sure I reached them right away and if not they got back to me promptly. They recommended a wholesale door company, Tri-Supply, where I could buy the doors. I ended up forgetting the name "Tri-Supply" six months later when I was again thinking about this project so I called The Door Guys back and they gave me the name again, very nicely, and I think we had a good conversation about how an installation would take place and such. Finally I got around to buying the doors and had Tri-Supply deliver them. I had scheduled The Door Guys to come and install them 5 days later. They quickly found that the doors that Tri-Supply had delivered had become bowed and were not straight enough to install anymore. They recommended I not have them installed and call Tri-Supply. I thought it was very professional of them to inform me of this issue rather thane blazing ahead and installing sub-par doors. Tri-Supply was responsive and picked up the old doors and delivered new ones within a week. Finally, The Door Guys came back (it was one fellow) and installed the three doors. There was no extra charge for having to come back a second time, even though they had spent an hour at my house the first time. In the end, it took about an hour per door for installation. The fellow who did the work was very nice and even let me use his powerful contractor drill for a project I was working on in my house during that same day. When he was done I had a few concerns which I voiced to him and he was able to fix promptly. The only improvement that I would recommend for The Door Guys is to let the costume know that the latch catcher in the door threshold may need to be moved to line up with the height of the latch in the new door. In two of the door thresholds this left a small gap where the original area beveled out for the latch catcher was left behind after moving it lower or higher. This was a small issue and overall these guys are great and I think are appropriately priced.

They were on time, perform excellent work, very affordable, and they clean up after themselves after they work.

The installer, Juan B. arrived early for the install. Juan was very personable and obviously very experienced. He was very meticulous about his work and spent the proper time to ensure the highest of quality. The company owner, Ryon Oates arrived prior to completion of the job to assist and ensure my satisfaction with the installation. I am very pleased with the job and will use The Door Guys again if the need arises. Highly recommend their work and professionalism!!!
