Description of Work: Repaired a leather recliner chair.

Description of Work: Sam White, came out 7/1513 as scheduled, but unfortunately, we both agreed for him NOT to go forward with any work. When he inspected the amount of work that would have to be done to fix my issue, it could not be done on site, nor completed in the 1-1/2 hours, and the additional cost would have been more than the piece of furniture was worth. Sam said he would be OK with you processing a refund. I was not displeased with the service, it just turned out to be not feasible.

Description of Work: I tried to use the Deal for this vendor, I emailed him 2 times with my phone number, and he never emailed nor called me. I do not recommend this "Wood Doctor", who has NO bedside manner. I want my money back and you need to get rid of him.

Description of Work: I wanted my front door re-stained so he was able substitute it for what I originally purchased. He was able to do that.

Description of Work: Mr Sam was very prompt in contacting me and did so several times. There must have been a communication breakdown as the deal stated on-site repair and Mr Sam wished to pick up the chairs we needed repaired.

Description of Work: I am still amazed at how great my footboard looks. I own a Bob Timberlake cherrywood bed that we bought 20 years ago. When we moved into our current home, the moving company did not install the bed railing properly into the footboard. As a result our massive footboard shattered/splintered where the railing connected to it. First, we tried to replace the footboard, but found that it is no longer made by the company. I found good reviews for Samuel White on Angie's list, so I called him. I really did not think that anyone would be able to fix this mess, but was willing to give it a try. Mr. White came out to my home to get the furniture, gave me a bid of $150 and said he would have it ready in two days. He called me the late the next day and delivered it that night. WOW - it looks like new. I do not know how he replace that missing chunk of wood (which supports the weight of the bed) and matched the paint perfectly, but he did a wonderful job. I will use him again. I scored him a 4 in punctuality for the first meeting, but he returned my furniture ahead of schedule! He and his wife were very professional.
