We did not go with their quote because of the way we were going to have to locate the AC in the attic at one of the sites. I have always been satisfied with their service and will call them again for the service on the units.

Their pricing was very competitive, in the $7k-8k range for a 5 ton unit. However, I was having a hard time finding a high SEER unit. Everyone was quoting me 13 SEER and telling me I did not need more. I finally spent more and got the 18 SEER unit with 2 compressors, large and small. My A/C bills have been much less than they would have been otherwise. We keep the a/c pretty cold and our last a/c bill was only $175. I have used NE for many years for water heaters, a/c issues and some other plumbing problems. They have always been fair and prompt.

We've used them since 2003 for semi-annual maintenence and have been impressed with everyone--office staff to technicians.

Our A/C unit died on us Saturday night, we had a miserable hot night. Sunday morning we called NE A/C's emergency line and I left a message explaining our situation. Greg from NE A/C responded to our call within 30 minutes. Greg was prompt, professional, and courteous. He quietly went to work and fixed our problem. We will definitely use NE A/C again. Greg is very professional and to the point! We are happy to be watching Sunday football in a COOL home!

Called Northeast based on recommendation from a friend and the reviews they got on Angie’s List. Mike (Schooman) showed up and gave me a no-nonsense estimate. No gimmicks of discounts, etc. but simply the lowest price they were willing to sell and install their Trane HVAC system in our house. I liked his straight talk and we have agreed on a date and time. (Mike also explained me about the energy rebate I should get. I sent the rebate application in via e-mail and surprinsingly, in a few weeks it kicked in! J ) A crew of two young people (Chris and Adam) showed up a half an hour late (not a good way to start a project) and got to work. I offered them drinks andlunch but they told me they had their water and that they normally work through lunch time… Later on Mike showed up and supervised/assisted the operation for a while and then left. He told me the crew was trying to get the unit out of the attic ASAP before it got hotter as the day would progress… (Why not start the job earlier?). One of the workers had a medical appointment and his mother came to pick him up at which time a different gentleman named Jason came by. By the end of the day they were finished. They ran the unit for about 20-30 minutes and then told me they were finished. They showed me what they did and in the meantime Jason (the guy I would call for repair or maintenance later) gave me some excellent, practical advice that would make the operation more trouble free. As they were finishing the job up, I mentioned that I’d like to have one of old grills to be replaced. Chris (I believe it was Chris) told me he’ll mention it to Mike and he’ll get back with me. Sure enough, Mike got back with me and we set an appt for the installation of a grill. Jason showed up and did a very professional job. Again, he gave a treasure-trove of good, useful information in reference to filters, etc. All in all, I was very satisfied with this company.

The heat pump would not cool down, i.e. no A/C. The technician arrived promply at 1015 am. Call for service was placed at 0800am. He quickly found the problem which was a leaking capacitor. Removed and replaced, checked system. All is well, we cool again.We used this company because they orginially removed and installed the current heat pump system we have. They also do the seasonal tuneups. My wife used a coupon from the Universal City paper for the this recent service which they honored. We will continued to use Northeast A/C for our heat pump servicing.

I think the price was fine. I have absolutely nothing negative to say, they were on time, and everything was great.

We had a great experience! They were quick, efficient, friendly, and did the job correctly. The workmanship was outstanding. We got a quote for the exact same unit from another well-known company here in town, and their representative couldn't believe the price NE quoted us including labor. It was still expensive, and probably could have found someone doing shady work for perhaps a little less, but overall we were very satisfied. Everyone was so friendly and quick with answers to our questions. They helped us with what we needed for rebates (CPS and taxes), which was appreciated.

We have used North East A/C and Heating for years and have always been satisfied...That's the reason I called them again, when our heat was not working. The technician called beforehand to let me know he was on his way. GOOD! However, once he arrived, he was on his cell phone (ear bud in his ear), the ENTIRE time. BAD! When you charge $100 per hour for your labor, I expect to receive your full attention. I did tell him that I had honestly never witnessed a service call with the tech on the phone from start to end. In fact, when I opened the door to let him back in after he had gone to pick up a new valve, he pointed to his ear and whispered and quot;I'm on the phoneand quot;. After completing the job, he loaded his truck (still on the phone), came back into the house and told the important person on the phone that he would call her later. Then he asked for money. Very unprofessional. Additionally, I was informed of the $60.00 service fee when I scheduled the appointment. However, was a bit surprised at the $100.00 per hour labor charge on top of that. Something the scheduler might want to mention when setting the appointment.

OMG the garage has water on the floor and the water heater was hissing. I turned off the gas, the water main and started to drain the tank. When I called at 10:39, they got hold of a plumber right away and said they would have someone out by noon. Got called back just a few minutes later and was told they had someone on the way. They asked if I was going to need help with the water cleanup, but I told them I thought I could handle it myself. Cory was there in just a few minutes. Took a look at the tank. Noted that the warranty had expired last year, but gave me the good news that I wasn't going to need a new tank anyway. Just a pinhole leak in the hot water line. He said they don't use copper flex much anymore. Replaced the line and cleaned up as much water as he could.

Each visit Northeast Air Conditioning and Heating have made to my home in the past decade has been excellent. The technicians inform me of any issues and what needs to be done to correct the problem. They have kept my unit in excellent condition for more than 20 years in the past 10. I am extremely satisfied with their professionalism and sound advice.

I noticed my A/C wasn't cooling on a Sunday afternoon. I checked Angie's list and, having also heard NorthEast recommended before, went to NorthEast's web site. I left a message on their site and was called first thing Monday morning. They could come in the early afternoon which was fine. I was happy to have someone available that day. Greg called me around 1 pm and said he would be over in 30-45 minutes and he was prompt. He said the only thing I needed was freon. The call lasted 1/2 hour (he also washed the condensor) and gave me a bill for $230. My only gripe is the bill. It states 1/2 hour time and 2 lbs freon. No price breakdown, ie, how much is freon, what's his hourly rate, was there a charge for a service call, etc. I don't feel I was 'taken' at all. Would just like to have had a cost breakdown for future comparison. Was very pleased with Greg and would use them again.

Provider arrived on time and asked if I would like to watch. This surprised me, but was it very helpful and knowledgeable. He asked a few questions and theorized what might be the problem. Walked me through the process, plus advised us for future problems and how to avoid or prepare for them.

They are very professional and honest. They did a thorough job. They have a really good reputation.

I have used this company over the past 10 years (at least) for air conditioning service and small plumbing jobs. As in the past, they were prompt, completed the job efficiently, and cleaned up and was out quicker than I thought it would be. I recommend them all the time to friends and co-workers.

We have used this company several times over the last few years. They are always very responsive, extremely professional and punctual. They have always been able to come and fix our HVAC system whenever called. We find everyone who comes out to be quite knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The freon leak detection was accompanied by a wealth of knowledge and advice for system upkeep. I was impressed. We would have been quite happy to have this company do the work they proposed after the freon leak detection found several leaks in the evaporator coil, but we were able to get a bit better system for a bit less money elsewhere.

Called North East Wed. night because my water heater was leaking when hot water was being used. They asked if I felt I needed someone that night or was the next morning OK. I said next morning was fine because I drained the pan and it wouldn't fill overnight with hot water not being used. Next morning Cory called to say he would be here in 30 minutes, he was right on time and went right to work. After checking a few things he said the tank was bad and needed to be replaced. It was less than 3 years old which is really odd for a heater to fail so soon. The tank was covered under warranty but labor isn't covered under the water heater warranty. The tank wouldn't drain so Cory put on a larger pipe so we could drain it. With the larger pipe it drained very fast. Under the warranty the tank needed to be taken back to the warehouse and exchanged. After removing the water heater from the tight space where it was located Cory left to exchange it. He did call for additional help to remove and replace the tank. They returned shortly completed the connection and added a piece to bring the installation up to code. Cory also called the city to let them know it was completed and ready for an inspector to come out. They cleaned up any remains of water which there wasn't much because they were very careful during the whole process. The inspector came out later that afternoon and approved the work that was performed. A job that could have been a nightmare turned into a few hour inconvenience. Very pleased with the work performed, Cory and Shawn were very professional, polite and a job well done. Highly recommended.

The AC not working was found to have two fautly wires and this was fixed quickly. reparman walke me through everything he was doing and explained why he was doing it. Very good service and professioan. I would use them again.

This company has always been our go-to company. I thought it was the greatest. Woke up to a flooded bathroom floor and lucked out that NE was able to visit promptly to diagnose the sewer clog, as well as to note that our recent DIY new toilet installation wasn't working on our tile floor either. Had NE install a new toilet we bought in a new location, and the job was done beautifully. The plumber was considerate, conscientious, knowledgable, and professional. He was able to help me understand the problem and some of the challenges with toilets and the water pipes underneath the house which we need to have evaluated for possible corrosion or separation in this very old house. I appreciate that because as a female, I don't take well to being blown off about accurate information and cost. We have been using NE plumbing and air conditioning/heating for years and one of the things some of their employees have told us is that the owner sat them down from the start and told them not to sell anything to the customer that he doesn't need. That is true. For example, we had another a/c company tell us that our air conditioning was done for and that we needed it replaced immediately. NE came out for a second opinion, replaced some parts in an hour for two hundred bucks and that darn system lasted us three more years without major maintenance! When we did buy another a/c-heater system, we went with NE who didn't do a and quot;hard selland quot; job, consulted with us every step of the way, and got it right. Also, the last job they did for us in November 2012 was half the price of what another plumber's estimated it would cost us for installing a faucet, a basket drain, garbage disposal, and all the PVC pipes under our new sink. The other company wanted $850 and NE charged us less than $400. It pays to get estimates because they vary a whole lot amongst plumbers. NE beats 'em out every time and everything continues to work when they put it in except for the normal wear and tear, of course.

He was fast, efficient, and on time. He was easy to talk to and explained what he thought the issue was. I thought the price was a little high, but I do not have anything to compare it to.

I am very pleased with the service we recieved. The installers were on time, they originally thought that they might have to remove a truss brace in order to get the old unit out and the new one in but were able to manuever around it without any damage to the truss. The removal and installation of the coil went very smoothly and both of the installers knew exactly what needed to be done. They removed the duct completely and sealed the hole in the plenum where the fresh air duct had been. They tested the unit to make sure it was functioning properly and cleaned up and hauled off the debris and old parts.

I called them around 8:30 and they were at the house by 10. They were very friendly and told me what they were doing.

The service people were here promptly at 8.30 a.m. as promised and all worked hard to get the new system installed and working as quickly as possible. Everything was finished by 3.30 p.m. and the house was cooling again so we did not suffer through any extreme heat. Everything went as planned except for the pilot light on the water heater being inadvertently turned off when the new furnace was connected. North East sent out someone to next morning to turn it back on.

They were very nice and very understanding. They were very prompt to check out the condition of the unit. They took pictures and explained to me exactly what the problem was. Once we hired them, they came out and repaired our unit. It works wonderfully. The men were great. I would highly recommend them.
