Very good service, we lucked out and only required a new bulb and gasket which was nice. Will hire again for pool service.

I dont think there was interest in my job.

Mike did a great job. He called me and told me he was coming and was punctual and completed the work as expected.

It went amazingly awesome!!! Marc from Parrot head answer my phone and trying to diagnose the issue over the phone. He showed me exactly what the issue was but I was not at home at the time to fix it. He then stop by after he got off and helped me fix the issue at the end of the day. He is very experience service manager, believe me I called several people to come out and service the heater but Parrot Head was the only company who came and responded and fix my issue immediately, I am so thankful that the people like Marc still exists in this world and do the kind things for others BIG thanks to Marc!!!

This company's weekly pool service is best described as "Splash n' Dash". Not sure how long after they started "maintaining" our pool that they just were not bothering to do anything. I made a return trip to check on the house after it had been unoccupied for several months only to find the pool cleaner was sitting on the deck. I was already suspicious of several false repair suggestions (most egregious was claiming we need to reprogram the pool controller when it was working just fine--the pool controller was web-connected so I could see it was working properly and I was amazed that they would flat out lie). So, I took a water sample to a local pool store and found that NONE, ZERO, ZILCH of the pool chemistry levels were correct (salinity, alkalinity, pH, hardness, free chlorine, total chlorine, and stabilizer). There were also high levels of iron in the water. I corrected the chemistry and hired a local neighbor kid to take a sample of water to a local pool store for analysis every week the day after Parrot Head had serviced the pool. The chemistry slowly drifted out over the course of a few weeks since Parrot Head was literally DOING NOTHING. At some point the service tech finally did do something--he damaged a gasket while backwashing the DE filter, but failed to notice the huge amounts of water left pouring past the crystal clear sight glass. The damaged spider gasket is a common wear and tear item, so I was not upset about that, but rather the fact the tech was so careless as to not even bother with a simple 2 second check that the multi-port valve on the DE filter was working properly. The pool had an auto-fill, so at this point the pool chemistry went off the charts in a really bad way very quickly (I also got a $180 water bill for an unoccupied house a month later). The tech continued his weekly "Splash n' Dash" with nary a comment about the situation in his weekly emailed service log. It became so bad that one of my former neighbors called to let me know the pool was green and the water level was so low that the pumps were sucking air. I called and confronted the service manager. The service manager apologized, but had limited authority for refunding his $200/month "Splash n' Dash" Scheme. I asked to speak to Tommy, the owner, and he did call me back a couple of hours later. After making a litany of excuses for his pool techs, the weather, and blaming me for shadowing their work instead of immediately reporting my initial suspicions, I was given a $400 discount. I am extraordinarily disappointed with Parrot Head Pool Services. Having used their repair services a few times since shortly after they opened, I thought we would receive top quality service for the premium price charged for weekly pool maintenance. Unfortunately, it is clear that this was not the case.

They cleaned cell and replaced cleaner pump. They also replaced the spa side pool controls. Cell dirty again so needs to be replaced. If there was an integrity and honesty score I would give them A +++

Mike was awesome to work with and very patient with all my questions since this was my first pool. The pool now looks great and is working with no issues. They arrived when promised and the price came in exactly as they estimated. Good job to Mike and the entire Parrot Head team.

This is a difficult review since the owner gets an A but the employee gets an F. Repair was estimated by the employee and a payment was taken with a promise to be back in a few days. I called and called but did not hear back on when the repair would take place. The owner finally had to come out as the employee was let go due to negligence. The owner came and fixed the problem and was very kind and apologetic. It's just a shame I still feel unsure about my comfort level in contacting them for future repairs. It's hard to be patient when the pool is green. The repair seems to be done correctly and I was not charged anything additional.

Parrot Head Pool Services, and specifically Mark, exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this company to anyone with a pool, these guys took care of business. We had a slight hiccup in the beginning but Mark corrected and then some. Thanks Mark!

The pool heat pump they installed in August 2014 developed a leak over time. I don't know whether the leak is from the heat pump itself of the connections they made to my filtration system. When I called in Dec 2015 to have them come service the unit, the owner informed me he could not support the equipment because the only qualified technician he had no longer worked there. He referred me to a large chain store. I give him credit for honesty but regret doing business with a small company that cannot support the equipment they installed a year and a half later.

No work was preformed. The technician broke his leg and was unable to do the work. I have requested a refund from Angie's List.

Jose arrived and was diligent about setting right to work. He was extremely courteous, and so helpful whenever I asked questions about maintaining the pool. He went beyond what would normally be expected on a service call to be sure I was completely happy before he left. I would not hesitate to call Parrot Head again as I get the impression that this is the kind of service that is expected from their employees. I have been battling problems in the pool since all of the rain we got in June, and I am ecstatic with the results from Jose's service!!!

Was trying to sell home so needed it quick, and they were able to come out when I was not home and communicate the problem to me. No problem with Parrot, but problems arose from using a coupon for the service and then not needing the service, but that had more to do with Angie's List coupon billing than Parrot.

It was an easy decision to hire them.

When we first started with Parrot Head, the service and attention was fantastic as they cleaned our swimming pool on a weekly basis and got it from a green state to a clear beautiful pool again for the summertime. It seems, however, that a snag has occurred recently where it appears their cleaning tech had broken the connector attaching the pool cleaner to the side of the pool. I attempted to get a response from Parrot Head about what happened and perhaps get them to do the repair as this is something I cannot do myself. I sent 2 emails directly to Tommy Rayburn with pictures attached showing the damage. It has been over a week and still no response. I have sent another email via Angie's List to see if I can get someone to respond and address the broken connector... UPDATE 08/06/15 As of the message sent to Parrot Head via Angie's List, I was immediately contacted and assured that they would send someone out to assess and repair the issue. The next day, Cody came out and looked at the damage and assured us that he would schedule our repair with their repair tech and it should be repaired in a couple days. A couple of days later, sure enough, Cody and the repair tech came out and fixed our pool connector just as they said they would. It was unfortunate that we had to go through Angie's list to get this item repaired, but once we were able to get their attention, they were very professional and prompt and courteous as to our situation.

I contacted Parrot Head Pool Service due to outstanding Angie List ratings. I have made 4 separate calls to Parrot Head over a two week period. I was calling to get a bid from them for a replaster/retile job starting at their convenience. Due to Angie ratings it looks like everyone is very satisfied with the service and pricing. With their Gold and Super Provider status I assumed at the beginning of my bidding that they would be one of the top contractors for my job. After waiting 2-1/2 weeks for a call from Parrot Head-Kevin I have given up. While I appreciate that everyone may have lots of business and that Parrot Head is so busy that they can ignore calls for potential new business this does not align or reflect a Angie List Gold Provider that I have gotten use to using from other preferred contractors from Angie customers. My suggestion is for this company to let potential customers know that they are not interested in any more work right now. The practice of handing potential new business to Kevin to handle did not work in my case. I contacted the office twice to get a bid but both times I was told Kevin would call me right back to arrange a visit--never happened. After having the office give me Kevin cell number, I called Kevin cell phone twice and left name, cell number and description of the work and I wanted them to bid. Seems even the office can't get Kevin to respond to customers since they told me it would be best if I called him directly. Disappointing to see a highly rated Angie List contractor not returning a call for new business. I know they don't have to return my call but to maintain a Gold rating from Angie I would expect better response from this contractor like others that have earned this and we have come to regard as contractors worth giving my business. Sorry but I don't view Parrot Head as a Gold rated contractor maybe they are good once they get a job but right now they appear to busy to take on any additional work.

They came early. He called me and asked if he could come early. That’s who I call and that’s for sure. I can trust them. The last time, I felt my pump motor burned out so I called him to come and replace it. He took a look at it and took a part. He found out that the wire had come loose. He is good. He put it back on those and it was fine. Anybody else would have sold me another pump.

Service tech did a great job! Walked me through everything he was doing and went above and beyond looking into a few other issues with our pool.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! We have been a customer of this company for around 4 1/2 years. We have been increasingly unhappy over the last year or so. We have asked them to fix a problem with our pool cleaner and they have never been able to figure it out. We had them convert our pool from salt to chlorine last Fall and they have continued to treat it with salt even when we have called them about it several times. We were promised a new person to come each week since the new guy is not working out and they did not do it. We have called many times in the last few months with complaints and have been promised a call from the owner and he has still never called (including today when I called to cancel service and they had someone else call me back). It's really unfortunate because they really were good for a long time. Moving on to another Angie's List company.

Great company, great service

The service replied to my request within two days. They worked around my work schedule, came on time, diagnosed the problem, repaired the controller and reprogrammed it. It took about an hour. Labor was about $135 of total.

Perfect!! On time. Did an excellent job! Courteous and professional! Gave me good advice on maintaining my vac truck. Will use again!!
