I called Overhead Door in Conroe this morning at 8:30 am and by 11:15 am (15 minutes ahead of the two hour window we had been given) they were at our home ready to make the repair. Robert was very professional and courteous. He fixed the door within the one hour service call charge and completed some further preventative maintenance as well.

They were fabulous. I used the coupon for their service. My spring broke on a Friday night and they offered to come out on Saturday. We were going to be gone and so they came out on Monday. They estimated $240 to repair the door and the springs. We actually used them in California and so I knew they did good work. They are an old company. We will absolutely use their services again in the future.

Called Sunday when the spring broke and had an appointment the next morning 9-11. Showed up on time, did the job and was very efficient. The price was fair and the job was done right. Informative on how to do the maintenance in the future. I would recommend this company.

I called two days ago to set up an appointment to have my garage door looked at. The phone was answered quickly and I was told I would get a call in the morning the day of the appointment. I was told I would then find out what time they could come by based on the location of their jobs that day. Okay, no problem. Got a call around 10am and was told that I could expect them between 2 and 4pm. Okay, no problem. Got a call around 4 saying they'd be there in 45 minutes to 1 hour. They showed up around 5pm. Just letting people know this is their policy. SO, if you don't mind waiting or if you like taking a chance that you'll be one of the lucky ones who are close to where they start their day you might use this company. Other wise their estimate seemed high and their technician seemed a little off. I didn't want him messing with the door as he offered to do a minor "temporary" repair. I chose to not go with this company, partially because of an intuition feeling I had. You might not have the same experience. On somewhat of a positive note.....As soon as I mentioned I had an Angie's list coupon he did charge me less than what he originally said. He only did a visual inspection and gave an estimate so that was fair enough.

The problem wasn’t completely repaired but I don’t know whether it was the fault with the repairmen or because it was an old door. So it’s not at all fair to say that they didn’t do their job. I would rather rate them for the new garage door they put in for me and they did an excellent job. They were on time and punctual. They ran into some difficulties and they took care of it. Even though the project was delayed they kept me well informed as to what was going on with the project. Their price was higher than others.

They did the work very quickly. They cleaned up after themselves. They did a good job. I would use them in the future.

when I called they answered the phone right away and I was able to get schedualed the next day. the guy was on time and had it fixed in under an hour no problem.

I was having them come just to repair my door but it wouldn't go up. I have a 3 car garage and this was only one of them and he told me that it looked like it was probably from the original people that owned it. He said that he can go ahead and repair it but he can't guarantee that it would last long. It's been 20 years. If it was 5 years he would have suggested repairing it but it was up to me; so I had a new one put in. I was very happy and it was very quiet and I liked it.

Katie was called at Overhead Door in the Conroe office at around 10:30am - she said Robert would call and give a two hour time frame for an appointment this afternoon. He called within 45 minutes and told me what time he expected to arrive. He arrived at the time he said he would, went right to work, fixed the broken spring, took the Angie's list coupon, showed me how to use the lubricant he sold me (which he offered when I asked about preventing problems with the spring) and the whole thing, from 1st call for service to shutting our repaired garage door, was done by 1:30. Well done.

The salesperson was very helpful, discussed ways we might accomplish what we wanted for less money, & was very willing to work with us to satisfy us. She gave us the name of a competitor who could match our existing door perfectly, but we decided to have Overhead Doors replace both. The installer did a good job; he was especially careful to make sure the new doors were square & level, which the old door wasn't (that's why it broke). Several weeks later, the large door developed a loud noise when it was opened. We called Overhead Door, & they sent a service person out to fix the problem, which he did quickly, easily, & there was no charge for the service call or the adjustment. He also explained what he did & why it was necessary.

They were fine. They did everything they were supposed to do and they did it well. We would recommend them. They have a nice storefront. I popped over there and they seemed professional and seemed to know what they were talking about. When I walked in there was somebody to help me. I wasn't home when the person came to install the garage door. They were a little bit expensive.

They did quality work for the price they charged. It was neither the best nor the worst. They were an average company. I would use their services in the future too.

Garage door would close and then automatically begin opening again. It would not do this all the time, so you never knew... Company technician repaired the control box and now the door closes and stays closed. Good job!

They were excellent. It wasn't a very big job and it didn't take too long so they did it for free. I think it was a goodwill kind of thing and I expected to pay.

After work i get home to find that a tension cable holding the springs of the garage door had snapped. It was already after 5:30pm and i needed the garage door to open for the next morning as my wife's car was inside the garage trapped. My mother-in-law had used Overhead door in the past and they had good reviews here on Angie's list so I gave them a call. But an answering machine picked up and i thought dang its after hours and they are closed but i left a message asking them to call me. Within 10 mins "steve" calls me to see what the trouble was. He was very friendly and i described the problem with the garage door. He told me the service call amount and even informed me that they do have coupons on their website which i was very pleased to hear. He said he can come over within the next 11/2 hr as he was near my neighborhood already. True to his word, he arrived just after 1 hour of my service request call. He was super friendly and quickly assessed the problem and fixed it in less than 10 minutes. I was surprised at how smoothly the problem was resolved.

One of our garage doors was acting up - would not close, then it stopped working all together and would not open. We noticed that one of the two springs was broken. We called the company. Since our cars were outside it was not a huge emergency, but they came out the same day (though they did not have a big enough spring and had to come back the next day with a bigger spring). After the broken spring was replaced, the door would still not open and close reliably. Apparently the opener had been damaged, maybe by our using it with a broken spring. So they replaced the opener. They also lubricated both our doors and replaced a bearing. Both doors work great now.

It was fine. They did a good job on it and I will continue to use them.

Everything went well and I have no complaints.

Our garage door broke, trapping our car inside the garage. When I called the company and explained the situation they were very empathetic, diagnosed the problem over the phone and said they were booked solid with installations for the day so would call the repairman to see what he could do. Within minutes they called back and said he would work me in. Soon, Robert zipped in, replaced the spring, and showed me the basic maintenance I need to do yearly. I bought the lubricant he recommended, it is reasonably priced and he suggested I use it throughout the house wherever I would normally use WD-40.

The first guy that came, Jason, was very nice and he oiled the door but said the second garage door opener needed to be replaced. I placed the order and paid for it in advance and arranged for it to be installed the next day. The following day a second guy, Caleb Gholston, showed up to install the second garage door opener. He was working late, I don't think he finished until around 7:00 PM, so I am sure he was tired. I did not talk to him, so after he left when I went to look for the two remotes and the instructions that should have been left I could not find them. I called the office the next day and the lady said she would contact Caleb. She later called me back and said that Caleb had left the two remotes and the instructions on the top of the garage door opener in the garage. I could not believe it when I went out to the garage and there they were up on the top of the opener. I am short so I had difficulty getting on a ladder to get up to get the remotes down. I think he could have left them in a better place, like on my washer or dryer or even on the trunk of my car, the first thing you see when you open the garage door! Overall though he did a great job.

The receipt says 'Overhead Door Company of Conroe' so it doesn't exactly match the name they are under on Angie's List, but it is the same address and phone number.

They arrived in a short amount of time and did the work quickly. The price was exactly as quoted.

I was very happy with this contractor. I know they are honest because they could have told me to replace the whole thing as like another company did. This was a simple repair job.

They were very timely and they did excellent work. I don't remember the price exactly. It was reasonable, but at the same time it wasn't a bargain. They are a national company and they provided us with a quality product.

I don't think that I adequately described my problem when I booked the service appointment, because once the technician saw my problem, he immediately recognized that he did not have the correct supplies on hand. He was not able to return until the next day, but scheduled me for the first appointment. He arrived with all of the necessary materials and had both doors working within about one hour.
