Timely, explained what he was going to do. Also answered all questions I had on taking care of my door. His professionalism was more than I could have asked for!!!

I was leaving my home to my Granddaughter 1yr old birthday party.. Open the garage door drove my car out hit the opener to close the door and the door fell off of it railings. I gasp. What the heck! Went to Angie's list call O'Brien they came out within 45 minutes. That was excellent timing that get an A+ for that. After the technician diagnosed my problem and his plan of action my bill was $300.00...for 2 springs and 4 nylon rolls.. I could have purchased a new 10x10 door for that amount. I told the technician I was a member of Angie's List his reply was "THAT IS GOOD". However you owe me $300.00. I paid and still missed my granddaughter's first birthday party.

Very well and saved me money by fixing the remotes.

In April 2012 their representative came out to give me an estimate the day after I called them. The door had stopped opening. He was very pleasant and was right on time. He gave the best estimate of 5 companies. They came out the next day and only had to replace worn rollers that were slipping. 3 others companies told me I had to replace the door. I will definitely call them again.

Great! The service man was prompt, efficient and professional. It was a little more expensive than I anticipated, but there is a warranty on the parts. I would definitely use them again.

I called for a repair service and was pleased with the friendliness of the repairman. He was professional, on time, and completed the job timely. Months later, my garage door was hit by a driver. I called for assistance with a replacement door and the service was excellent. I would recommend this company for your garage door services.

They were very professional & prompt. I will use them again. They also did not try & up sell me. They checked the condition of my garage door & lubricated it.

They quoted a service call and we needed a spring replacement. He ended up charging us $80 a spring but they originally wanted to charge us $250 a spring. We had a problem with that and had to call the company and we had to fool around with it for 45 minutes. They did reduce it. The original bill was $499 and after complaining, it came down to $345.70. The problem was that they quoted their basic services over the phone and when they got out here, they wanted a bunch of additional stuff as well. We wanted one garage door spring and they ended up replacing two. One was broken and he said that the other one was old. I didn't have any problem with that but when he quoted $250 a spring that I could buy at a big box store for $72, then we had a little bit of a problem. It wasn't a good experience. The overall end result was that they took care of it satisfactorily but it wasn't what we bargained for when we set it up originally. The work was under a much different pretense than the quote we made over the phone. I wouldn't use them again because of the hassle. This opens repeatedly in our neighborhood.

Very pleased with service. Tune-up call to them prompted by "money mailer" coupon that, as I recall, offered a $50.00 discount if service was provided. at the time, I thought the amount actually charged was pricey, but the job got done and results have held up for the year or so since service. The technician was cordial and professional.

O'Brien was punctual, knowledgeable, and reasonable. I recommend them to my friends.

Three hours of work... all done right and fair.

This goes way back in time but it was such a scarey experience for my wife I feel compelled to comment anyway. O'Brien of Houston was called to repair my Wayne Dalton garage door opener. I told them the part that was needed (not the first time) and I insisted they not make a service call if they don't have the part. In any event, the technician was sent out anyway and he did not have any parts to fix the opener. Rather than calling it a day, the tech would not leave my residence unless my wife paid him for a zero value service call. He insisted on staying there intimidating my wife (I was at work) until she wrote him a check to go away. Has I been at home, I am sure the events and outcome would have unfolded very differently. I was outraged when I got home and contacted the "district manager" who appeared sympathetic and promised a prompt refund, or a return of the check. Neither happened, and I was out the cost of a "non-service" call and had a much shaken up spouse. We are now prepared to deal very differently if we encounter such an unscrupulous vendor on our homesite, that is for certain. Time passage not withstanding, I would never call on this vendor ever again for anything even if free.

Very positive experience. This is the fourth time we've used this company and they have provided exceptional service each time. They straightened the bottom and next-to-the bottom panel of our garage door - both were bowed; one worse than the other - and installed a support bar to keep the bowed one from snapping back into a bowed position. We had already checked the replacement cost with the supplier ($1,000) -- so this solution worked for us.

They were really good. They were on time. They did a good job. We were really satisfied with them.

I know I got screwed by these people. The add in the February Angie's List book said Garage door tune-up $49.50 and there was another coupon for 20% off any service call. Well I didn't ask when I called and made the appointment nor did they tell me that the $49.50 was for each door. A total of $99.00. He did take off the cost of the service call $47.50. The part I needed he had to order a lock kit for $108.00 plus another part for $88.00. The total bill is $319.77 that includes $24.77 for replacement options have been discussed customer has elected to repair. I should have asked if the $49.50 was for both doors but I didn't and wasn't told when I called. I could have used another company that charged $50.00 for a tune-up on both doors. I believe O'Brien's add is deceptive and should be changed. I would not recommend them to anyone and will never use them again. Beverly Stanford

I used an Angie's List special to get the rollers replaced and the garage door tune up. The technician, Edwin, did a great job! He explained everything that he did in detail and made several recommendations to be able to keep the door working properly. He answered all questions and made sure the door was working perfect before leaving. Thank you O'Brien Garage Doors.

They were very prompt, and called before they came. The young man was very knowledgeable about everything and explained what he was going to do. The door is much quieter and works fine, and I would recommend them to anyone.

I was leaving for my grand daughter birthday party..Pulled my car out of the garage proceeded to let the door down. As I waited for the door to close, I sat watching the door NOW at an angle.... the rollers had jump off the tracks with door just hanging, with broken springs and busted wires. Called many garage door providers on Angie List. O'Brien Garage Doors was the only provider that could come on a Saturday at 3:00. Edwin arrived at my home within 30 minutes. I was extremely impress and please of the quick arrival.. FOR ONE DOOR ONLY Edwin changed the rollers. re-wired the pulleys, installed 2 springs. MY COST WAS 300.00 FOR ONE DOOR. I told Edwin I was a member of Angie's list. He said that was good...but my price would still $300.00.. There are other door places on Angie's list that will do 2 doors with the same work perform for only $200.00. I still missed the party. Very pricey company. Plair

They provided what I would consider the best service that we ever had for a company that came out to work on our house. They were prompt and courteous and very knowledgable about what needed to be done to fix our door. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needed work done on their garage doors. He was here for about an hour and gave me a complete write-up on what I needed. He gave very specific model numbers and pricing. I took that information and went onto the website. None of the model numbers he gave me worked and I was not able to get a hold of the lady he said I needed to get a hold of. I never got a follow-up from them. It was not a good experience.

Sorry I gave the details above......... This was an opener for a double wide garage door. It well extremely well! Grant knew exactly what he was doing, was courteous, arrived on time.......what more could anyone ask for. I believe this company has various branches over the area...so they can get to you quite easily.

My experience with them was really good. They were just very prompt. They asked good questions to find out what it is that was really needed and which one of the products would fit my needs best. They had good pricing and were just very professional.

It went better than I expected. The tech called earlier than expected and arrived even before his appointed time. When he arrived I tried to explain and show the issue. He explained to me what was happening and why. He explained that I had the solution and didn't know it. It was just a process the many service tech know but is not general knowledge and apparently unknown to the manufacturers service group. The problem has not returned as of yet but if it does I now know how to fix it. He left a calling card sticker by the wall mounted control with my approval. I advised him of the Angie's List ad and discount. He marked the invoice accordingly.
