Sharp Refinishing

This was a 3 day process. It all went exactly as described. Jim and his associate did a great job and left no mess. Just gorgeous counter tops.

Great experience. All went as planned. Top notch service from time of initial call, appointment confirmation, arrival time, the refinishing -David is great. Professional service, incredible results. No horrible smell! Tub looks brand new. This was the best and easiest part of my bathroom remodel project. Could not be more please and highly recommend this company to others...and I never ever write reviews.

The job went very well Mr. Sharp & his worker showed up on time cleaned up after finishing and were accommodating when we needed to get past the equipment.

They did a beautiful job. It's a husband and wife team. Their website is fabulous. You can pretty much figure out your own estimate on the website; they pretty much know the scope of the job before they come. They came out and inspected the tub to make sure they could do the job. They gave us the primer to apply before he came. He was here for about four hours. The rust came back through; they came back with more solution to cover it again. It looks great now. He went out of his way to bring me some more of the solution.

This is the second bathtub I have had Sharp refinish for me. They refinished the first one two years ago. They did such a good job, when it was time for the second one, I did not hesitate to call them. The quality of the finished job for both tubs is excellent. Jim Sharp is always professional, timely, and responsive. He also goes the extra mile by doing things like leaving a sample of the refinish material for later touch-up and fixing worn grout or other imperfections before refinishing.

On February 11th, David Richardson came to my house and refinished an old bathtub. David was very professional, arrived on time and explained what he would be doing. David was incredibly neat - covered everything in the bathroom and even covered about 1/2 of my bedroom floor. David did a great job ventilating the area because the chemicals have a strong odor. Thanks to David's great ventilation of the bathroom we hardly smelled any chemicals while we were in the house. David did a fantastic job of refinishing the old tub - it looks brand new. When David left for the day he explained how he left the room and that he would be back the next day to finish. The next day David arrived on time and finished the project and left the room very clean. It was a great experience. On February 25th, Jim Sharp the owner of the business, came to my house to fix a chip in another bathroom tub. Jim was very professional -even called me to tell me he might be 20 minutes late due to traffic. Jim was very neat - covered up the entire floor of my bathroom. He did a fantastic job of fixing the chip in the tub. Very incredible job. Jim also installed the new drain and over-flow cover for the old fashioned bath tub. I also want to add that it was a pleasure talking with Debbie Sharp on the phone. Debbie gave me lots of good advice on replacing old drains/faucets for the cast iron tub. It was a pleasure dealing with everyone in this company. It was a great experience and I highly recommend Sharp Refinishing.

All work was professionally done, response was excellent. I don't know if bright white is the only color, but I preferred the tub color be much closer to the surrounding faux marble color. Main reason for not using again is that I will be remodeling the bathroom in the future and replacing that tub and surround.

Debbie Sharp set the appointment; called to remind me. On the day of the appointment, Jim Sharp arrived on time to refinish the tub. He protected the entire room by papering all of the walls and floor. That contained most of the very strong fumes and protected everything from potential splatter. He vented the bathroom through a nearby window and draped the entry to the bathroom with a sheet. Removed the old finish on the tub - which took the entire day. The vent stayed in place until bedtime. By that time the majority of the fumes had dissipated. The following day Jim came back, on time to remove the paper, clean up and to finish reinstalling tile that had loosened weeks before his visit. He installed a new drain and even touched up a place on the tile floor. Jim refinished the tub for us originally 9+ years ago. He's personable and professional. Jim and Debbie both go the extra mile to take care of customer. I have already recommended him to several people who also own 50+year old houses and wish to keep the original tubs. These guys are great.

Showed up on time. Explained the process. Set up their equipment and prepared area. Did the job as explained. Were exceptionally courteous and clean. Would use them again and/or recommend them without hesitation.

!Our 1950's steel tub had wear and rust issues, including a section rusted right through the steel in a quarter-circle around the overflow. Got a quote for the refinishing, plus repair to the rusted out section, and added the option of an installed anti-slip additional matt-finish to the tub bottom. Work was done over several days, due to 1) an early issue with the finish not curing right in one spot, and 2) us accidentally touching/messing up a section of the still-curing tub-edge (doh!). Through it all, the Sharp team was totally professional, and did top-quality work, returning a couple of times to make sure the tub turned out like new and at no additional cost from the estimate..Tub actually turned out probably better than new. Highly recommend!

Business is owned and operated by Jim and Debbie Sharp. Contacted Debbie initially by phone to inquire about the service and how it all worked. She was very helpful and explained the process in detail and after sending pictures and dimensions of the work area, she provided a quote. The finish can be picked out from the website but we asked to see some of the work and Debbie invited us to her house to see their bathroom which Jim had refinished. We did that and then used their sample book to pick out the finish. Due to work load, Jim was unable to schedule the job for a couple of weeks but started and finished the work as scheduled. We did need to have our contractor (Tolbert's Handyman Solutions, another Angie's List member) remove plumbing fixtures at the start and replace when finished. The work was done over 6-7 hours in two days plus one more day to make sure surface was completely dry. The whole process was very smooth. Would not hesitate to use again.

They were excellent and I would highly recommend them. From beginning to end I'm talking to them, they were very clear at pointing what would happen, what the costs would be, the charges might be, detailed out everything and it was a surprise when they came out to do the job because they did exactly what they said. They were professional, they did a great job and didn't make a mess or anything.

They did a great job! Our bathtub looks brand new and with the care they took to cover our newly tiled walls & floor, there wasn't a bit of glaze on anything but the tub where it should be. They applied several coats and gave us specific instructions on when we could use the tub and how to keep it like new. We are very pleased. The process took longer than normal because we had a little plumbing problem with the drain pipes, (not unusual with homes built in the 70's) but they knew what to do to get it fixed. All finished in one day.

Jim & Debbie were a pleasure to work with. Our tub looks like new...we're very pleased with the outcome. Jim even went out of his way. I had purchased a new drain for the tub prior to him coming as I wanted everything to look new. Well, as fate would have it, I purchased the wrong size. Jim picked up the right size and installed it the next day when he cam back to caulk the tub. He cleaned up everything and left the room in good order.

Once contracted, Sharp was timely in scheduling and confirming our appointment. Their crew showed up on time, and was friendly and professional. The work was finished on time and really looks fantastic. The pricing they provided was consistent with what we were charged and was a great value.

Jim was on time and very pleasant to work with . He did what he said he would do and we are very pleased with the results.

Jim showed up on time. Prep surface , sealed bathroom, installed ventilation. Refinished tub, installed new drain plug and return. Cleaned up and left me with a beautiful tub that looks new. Instructed me in the care of the tub and warranty information. Great job couldn't be more pleased!

The work was perfect! They were really good about masking and cleaning up everything. They were just wonderful. I would recommend them to anyone because they were just so great!

It was wonderful! They are an individually owned company. The man who owns the company is the man who does they work. They are real respectful of your home. They did everything they could do to limit the fumes the work put off.

When we contacted Sharps they responded immediately, providing not only a quote but also some guidance on what to do and how to prepare for the remodel. Once scheduled they arrived on time, completed the work in the time indicated, delivered what they had promised, and properly cleaned up after they were done.

Everything went very well. Jim came out the weekend of Thanksgiving to show us samples and help us pick the colors that would look best in our bathrooms. He also took measurements to verify the data we submitted to him for the work so we would have a better estimate to work from. The week of 10 Dec 2012 Jim and his crew came out and started the work. He always called prior to coming out so we knew when he would arrive and he always went over the work he woulddo that day. At the end of everyday Jim would have us look at the work he had done to make sure we were happy with how things looked and were progressing. Once the job was complete, Jim sat us down and went over general care and let us know when we could reinstall the faucets and drains. Jim stayed with us and answered all of our questions and did not leave until we were satisfied with everything.

Great Experience. Scheduled appointment with no problem. Mr Sharp showed up to do the job promptly and the tub looks like new. He was also very informative on the future care of the tub. Would definitely use them again.
