+ 0 moreJohn Gause Plumbing. I used him yesterday. It cost me, not counting the dishwasher I bought from Home Depot, I paid him like $950. I bought the toilet separately, so I don't know if you want to count that or not. I bought the dishwasher separately, but he was just fixing the insulation. They were nice, they were fast, they were very reasonably priced. They were very helpful in figuring out hey you can repair this not replace it, saving money. They tried to repair the disposal but it was dead. They said they weren't going to be be able to fix it for free. Nope, it's dead. They tried. They deserve it, they came in, they did all the work, they fixed everything, they got it all done. They were what I expected. And I got a 10% coupon on them. They were definitely nice. They are the company I will go back to using. If need more plumbing work, I'll be checking them out.
Description of Work: John Gause Plumbing replaced the water heater, replaced the disposal, he repaired one toilet and replaced another toilet. And fixed the insulation on the dishwasher.

+ 1 moreSuper job. All basic plumbing performed quickly and well. They were able to get hot water heater parts under warranty. The waterjet was unable to fix the slow drain, but it was not for lack of trying. Probably has roots or something the waterjet can't fix in it. Septic system pumped by Universal Vacuum later & they did a good job, but pumping did not fix the slow drain either. Can't say enough good about John Gause ... professional, punctual, fair price, so I'm a happy camper & you will be too.
Description of Work: Replace toilet with ADA type in small bathroom & associated fittings and valve, replace shower/tub selector & faucet, replace outside hose faucet, replace elements & thermostat on hot water heater. Waterjet slow drain.

Description of Work: We had an appointment set for Friday afternoon. I arrived home prior to the set time. This contractor never showed or call. I tried to contact him several times with the number given and no answer. Still a week later have not heard from him. He could have at least called to cancel if he could not make the appointment time.

Description of Work: Had 4 lavoratory faucets and drains replaced, roman tub fixtures repaired/replaced along with the overflow and drain. Shower faucets and shower head replaced and faucet leaks in 3 other bathrooms fixed. Due to the age of the house, some parts were hard to find but John ran all over town to find them so I wouldn't have the expense of tearing out the jetted tub surround. It took him more time that he had anticipated but I was well pleased at his efforts to save me money.

+ 0 moreThe kitchen garbage disposal of our rental property condominium stopped working. I called Mr. Gause to investigate and repair or replace the unit. He was very polite and professional over the phone, and scheduled a convenient time to perform the work at my tenant's convenience. He arrived on time, removed the old disposal and installed a comparable model based on our conversation. The work took about an hour and the price was very reasonable. He estimated that the new disposal and installation would cost about $225, which I approved, but it only cost $175 for the new disposal and labor. The tenant was satisfied with the work and the timeliness of the repair.
Description of Work: Removal of old garbage disposal and installation of a new disposal, including appropriate plumbing connections.

+ -1 moreThe hold-down bolts on our toilet has rusted; I called Gause Plumbing and was told a plumber would call me the next morning between 9 and 10 AM, and he did. He was here by 11:00 and pulled the toilet, did the repair, and finished in about an hour. I gave him the Angie's List coupon, and received the invoice with the discount the next week. The only complaint I have is that the young man did not clean up after he was finished; something one learns with experience, I hope.
Description of Work: Replaced the rusted hold-down bolts on a toilet.

They arrived promptly the next day and went to work--he to the house that needed the commode hung and she next door. They completed the work quickly and left. 1
Description of Work: He installed a hanging toilet in a rent house. He did a good job. The handyman, actually the handylady, was smart, quick, efficient. She installed 2 smoke alarms, 2 window blinds, 2 exterior door locks, one exterior door latch, 2 sets of latches on cabinet doors; and she did various other small jobs.
