I would recommend Furniture Medic but I would say to make sure that it is really clear what the job entails and also to get really good pictures before getting an estimate. The original estimate they gave me was for $400, then they called me back and said it would cost $11000 because of a variety of things. But I told them they have to limit their work because I was not going to put in that much money on that desk. So, based on that conversation, I expect the final bill to be around $500. The work is finished but I haven't picked it up yet.

This chair is a favorite sitting place in my living room, I have not seen another that both rocks and swivels, and its upholstery blends with the other furniture in the room. In short, I had to have it repaired! The cost was a little more than I expected, but it was far less than replacing the chair, even if that had been possible, so I am pleased with the overall experience.

The only difficulty was that they do not come home to look at the furniture, but we have to take it there. I have an antique dresser which is extremely heavy and I have no way of getting it there. It was made of Sal wood and built in 1894 I guess, which was handmade. They don't walk to come and look at it, instead they want it to be brought to them. I understand what their circumstance is, because by all means money is coming out. They have to come look at it, give an appraisal and charge a service cost. I had a couch which was damaged when I moved in and they wanted me to take the couch there to get an appraisal, but the insurance ended up in replacing it. They make sure we know our product or piece of furniture well. They look for ways of doing restoration, some are inexpensive and look nice, but don't go on very well. They check the reputation. They do excellent work. I left a message for them and they called me back.

They were fine. They did the repair free of charge.

Would have preferred to pay slightly more the first time to get finish right. I think I would have ended up paying less overall if I had paid for only one re-finish, rather than two (with the second slightly discounted). The finished product, however, was very nice and I give grace because the work is an art that requires much judgment and skill.

I had a dearly loved chair that was in need of repair. The damage was so odd that I wasn't even sure if repair was possible. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was impressed because they did not tell me what I wanted to hear, but were very honest with how difficult this repair might be and why. They used their ingenuity and experience to come up with a out-of -the box repair plan. They were very honest on how much they needed to charge and why, and gave this information to me up front. The chair was repaired with in the time frame promised. After my chair was fixed, it looked good as new, and I believe it is even more sturdy than it was before the accident. If I ever need furniture repair again, I will not hesitate to call furniture medic!

We have three family antiques...2 sideboards and an old rocking chair. The side boards were dull and had some crazing in the finish. We asked Gunner about refinishing them and he told us that he did not recommend doing that to such beautiful old pieces. Rather he suggested cleaning and polishing the pieces. He did this and they are beautiful! The rocking chair had a loose armrest. Gunner and his staff managed to take the armrest apart and reset it and strengthen the connections. They also cleaned and polished the chair. It is once again a wonderful piece that the grandchildren love to sit in. We are very pleased with the services performed and the results of the work done.

Dropped the piece at their service center. They estimated cost and time. I picked up the piece when it was ready.

They were polite, professional and well-priced. I got the feeling they treat all their customers that way, whether the job is big or small.

Wonderful, I was quoted 3x the price at 2 other places and both were not happy about the chair being a recliner. When I called Furniture Medic it was a different world. The men were friendly, responsive and made me feel confident that they could help at a reasonable price. The service fee for just coming to look at the chair was very low and reasonable compared to the other places I called, I did not hesitate to make an apt. Len came out and took a look, told me what would need to happen to the chair. Said they would check the other side and make any changes needed to make sure that side of the chair would be as strong as the side that needed to be fixed. Gave me a quote, that they did not go over when the chair was completed. Let me know how long it would take and also did not go over that time. Len dropped the chair off and made sure I was pleased. I would call then first the next time I have a need.

I'm taking the time because both men were outstanding. They talked through with me different options to repair the chair. And, even provided me material from their shop so I could attempt to do the option on my own. They admitted that they couldn't gurantee success due to the material of the chari. They could have easily just told me no and gotten back to their work, but they spent almost 30 min telling me different things I could do on my own. They did talk through reconstructing the arm rest from scratch and with real wood, but admitted that it was likely cheaper to buy new chair than that cost - >2 hrs per arm rest required. Professionals, you can't go wrong using them.

Two guys showed up, removed the backing underneath to examine it and told us they could fix the couch for $250 (which they did, additional cost was for transport because we don't have a truck). Done in less than a week (they estimated two but finished early), they were professional, knowledgeable and we're happy with the results which cost far less than a new couch. Very positive experience.

Did a lovely job putting this dresser back together, including replacing damaged wood. Nancy in the front office was good at keeping me informed of progress and cost. The final cost was considerably less than buying a new dresser.

The cedar chest turned out beautiful. It looked brand new (which is what was wanted). I thought they did a great job, and most importantly, so did my mother.

We just moved from France here several months ago, and the movers left our belongings too long in storage so some of them were damaged, and even moldy. We didn't pay for this, since our insurance company charged the movers. The furniture repair was nicely done.

The repair took place within the time period they gave. They were on time for the appointment. They did an excellent job as the arm is still in great shape.
