Ellis Air Conditioning and Heating

The Tech arrived within the time specified, took one look at the heating unit and identified the problem as a clogged drain. He quickly unclogged the drain, and checked the filter. After that, he went outside and noted that the A/C coils needed cleaning. He sprayed water on them with my garden hose, and suggested I do this each Spring & Summer. He also gave me a couple of hints to determine if my A/C was working properly. I can say, at this point, the leak has been fixed, the A/C is working satisfactorily; no high pressure sales tactics (we didnt even get into the cost of a completely new system), but I requested and got, an estimate, from him, of the cost to replace the ductwork, (something I will probably have done in the future). The total cost for the days A/C service was $118.00. I am happy and I would use this company again.

My initial interaction with Ellis AC was pleasant at first and I thought my problem was fix @ $200.00. Well, not even a full month later, same problem started again and a Tech came out last week, stayed all of 20 minutes and told me to wait a few days and call back if I continue to have the same problem. My leak never stopped working and I called back for the 3rd time, a different Tech came out and made sure my leak stopped but left a nice mess for me to clean up in my downstairs restroom after blowing out my A/C lines. But, I had no problem with it since he fixed my problem so I thought ... All of sudden one of my units just stopped last night and I don't believe it was by chance either because when this Tech came out this time, he parked in the back of my house and went straight to the problem. Not even 5 minutes later, I was told I needed a $250.00 part which I found out later cost less than $20.00 dollars. No investigation was needed because the previous Tech had already set it up the day before and they knew I would be calling back. Ellis A/C is out to gouge you even though they come highly recommended and I will never use them again, period. I have scheduled an appointment with another A/C company just make sure that the last Tech even changed the part. Because he was somewhat rude the entire time and I just don't believe he was being honest period ... Be careful using this company !!!

I was in a bind. I had another Heating and Cooling Company out earlier, that I will not name, and they tried to take advantage of my 87 year old mother and treated her poorly. I called Ellis Heating and Air Conditioning to see if they can come out and take a look at the AC unit. at the last moment in the day. They jump on things and got a repair tech by the name of Stephen to come by. Out standing Customer service. Stephen took his time to talk to me and my mother on what was needed and how he was going to fix it. Stephen made the repairs and the AC unit was once more working. I'm not much of writing reviews but I thought that I need to express my thanks. Good customer service is hard to come by. I'm a customer for life now for Ellis Heating and Air Conditioning and a big fan.

From the initial service call to the final installation the service was nothing short of fantastic. We've had long term issues with our AC so I thought I would try a different company for service. I am so glad I did. Ellis techs were scheduled to come out and do a warranty replacement the day following the service call. After some research on the issues we experienced with our existing system and looking at receipts for repairs, we bit the bullet and opted to have a new system installed from a quality manufacturer. One phone call and Ellis got us the new system completely installed the day they were scheduled to do the warranty work. Their quote was accurate and this system actually cost less than the one I had installed 8 years ago. The crew arrived on time, were very friendly, courteous and professional. They exceeded my expectations on the quality of the installation job. I would highly recommend Ellis.

Technician was not familiar with our unit model thermostat (Trane touchscreen). That was frustrating, but the overall work was great and we would use them again.

Fish and Sammy showed up let me know everything they were going to do, said it could take 4 hours. They were done in 2 hours. They cleaned up after themselves and was just very good. I do hope if anyone needs air conditioning work they will call them. They did more than I was expecting but it didn't cost anymore. I will call them again if I ever need air conditioning work.

Gave advice and provided tune up

We have used them for a number of years. We are very satisfied with them. They are reliable. They are prompt. Their prices are reasonable. The quality is very good. Their punctuality and professionalism are good.

Everything went fine. I think there were two guys. They came and installed it in one day. They cleaned up after themselves. They were very diligent about that. They installed a new thermostat as well. We just got our first electric bill and it was very reasonable for the amount of time the A/C has been running. They were very friendly and professional. He was very informative and patient. We've learned everything that we needed to know. We also had a recommendation from a friend. Also, they were the lowest estimate of the estimates that we got. They were right on time.

Everything went well. No problems with anything

I've had nothing but good experiences with them. They have been very accommodating. When I did the comparison they weren't the most expensive place and they weren't the least expensive place. They were right where I was looking at.

.I was having trouble with the unit it wasn't cooling properly and I had them come out and install a new one. They replaced a motor in my A/C unit. One thing that I didn't like was the diagnoses and the problem was. They did a really good job on my installation.

Very detailed review of options by sales rep. No hard sell, three options, he recommended the middle system (Carrier 2 stage 4 ton unit rated at 16 SEER). We had two other companies out last year, both were hard sell, do it now, and way over priced. One wanted to replace all of our air ducts. Ellis rep reviewed ours, and advised ducts did not need to be replaced. Installed in about 4 hours, crew was very efficient and thorough including complete cleanup after installation. Tested entire system after installation. Went over new controller and set to our requested settings.

He was so nice and was in no hurry. Absolutely wonderful! I was very impressed with what I got for what I paid.

Ellis AC provided a very detailed estimate and completed the work in a very professional manner. They arrived at our residence on time on the day of install and completed the install in a very professional manner. I've used this company on several occasions and they have always impressed me with their knowledge and professionalism.

I would use them again for my barb in the future.

I called at 730 am and I had a technician by 9am ! We didn't have any heat in our house and the technician was very courteous and arrived on time. He determined that my thermostat was the issue and not the furnace. He took his time in explaining the situation very professionally. Very pleased !!

They are good guys. Their responsiveness was like it's always been. I make an appointment and the guy comes out. He checks out the air conditioner. With regard to quality, it's cool in the summer and it's warm in the winter. The price is fine.

They were punctual and were able to get the new outside unit installed the same day.

Since we had been their customer and we had just purchased a unit, the manager gave us a great deal on the second unit. The dates for installation and times of arrival were on target and the installation had no issues. Both units worked and it has been a year. We did choose to replace with the same brand units we had but larger SEER. I have always felt comfortable allowing them into my home to check our inside units for many years and have never had a problem. Also, I contracted them in 8/15/2012 run additional PVC from upstairs unit in attic that drained to the bathroom sink (by the builder) This had always caused a plumbing stoppage problem a year after the house was built in 2003 (of course it was just past the 1 year builder warranty) and we had to call plumbers out several times and my husband had taken the elbow PVC under sink apart himself to unclog on several occasions. Once I decided I had had enough, they easily and quickly gave me a quote to run this drainage outside the house in another location. It was fair, reasonable and they did a great job. Overall, I have to give them an "A" for service over past 11 years.

I have been using Ellis since 1995 - they have always been responsive. We have an older HVAC system and it has had some problems. There was a time when we ended up having several of Ellis's people here one after another because the issue wasn't being fixed. However, they ended up sending us their senior HVAC tech who totally fixed our problem. I have been very happy with Ellis and will continue to use them.

I've had Ellis A/C out every summer trying to keep my 1984 original A/C and heat pump working. Frank would come out, on time and on budget to service or repair various parts, and keep us limping along. Every year for the past several years he'd give me the "you really need a new, more efficient unit" talk, and I'd put him off. When it finally died, I agreed to the new Carrier Infinity series and I'm so happy I did. First of all, the office staff at Ellis is very friendly, very honest and very knowledgeable. The crew arrived on time with everything they needed to remove all the old equipment and install the new. They completely cleaned up after themselves, worked quickly and were very respectful coming in and out of the house. I have a whole new system that can actually keep up with the intense summer heat. My electric bills are substantially less (just like Frank said it would be), and we are comfortable year round. I highly recommend Ellis A/C.

They installed a heat pump system for us and did a great job, with a good price. They come out and do seasonal service on it also. We were happy that when they first installed our system, and the thermostat wasn't working, they came straight out, repaired it, and were honest to say it was their repair guy, a new guy, who hadn't done it right. Honesty is much appreciated.
