Everything was great from the start! The communication was so great. They always knew who I was when I called, and they were so accomodating to our schedule changes. They always called in advance to make sure we were still available for the date of installation. Steve was amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable, and even did extra things that brought everything up to code at no additional cost!! They worked quickly, and everything was perfect! Definitely will use them for any additional services! They were also the best price I could find!!!

I called Accu-Temp to get an estimate for installation of a new heating/cooling system. My ten-year-old unit had begun leaking and I did not want to put more money into it as its refrigerant had become very expensive and new units are significantly more efficient. Tina, who works in the office, took all the information that I could give her about my circumstances and the size, configuration, and location of my existing equipment. Based on that, Steve Brock, the owner of the company, gave me estimates for installation of several products that might be suitable. I chose a 3.5 ton 16 SEER Carrier air handler and heat pump. The air handler has a two-speed fan for quieter and more efficient operation. He then came out to take measurements and insure that this was an appropriate system for my house. We agreed that was what I wanted. I could have chosen something a little less expensive with a lower SEER rating or something more expensive with a greater efficiency, but he helped me decide that this was best for my needs. The next morning, he and his assistant, Rafael, arrived and began installation. They removed the old equipment, installed the new equipment, and cleaned up well after themselves. They replaced circuit breakers that were necessary for code and made some needed repairs to the air intake vent. They seemed to work very efficiently and competently and the job took approximately six hours. Steve and Tina made sure that I had the necessary paperwork for getting a rebate from my power company. They also registered my equipment for me with Carrier for warranty purposes. The new system is working wonderfully. It comes on far less often than my old one and is also quieter. My daily usage of electricity is down considerably. I cannot quantify that as the weather has also changed and I added to my attic insulation, but it is quite significant. This was a 100% satisfactory experience.

There was some confusion around the coil and if it was under warranty but after that was sorted out and it was found to be under warranty things went smoothly. They did have to come out since our motor went out a week later. I would use them again. Their prices were reasonable and they were always fast to respond and on time.

We have used Accu Temp a number of times and each experience has been absolutely excellent. Steve came out just before this visit to re-run new air ducts in our attic. A family of cute, but particularly destructive, raccoons tore up multiple ducts that had to be replaced. Our home has vaulted ceilings in the entry and family room running down the center of the house which made it very difficult to get to the area that was damaged. Steve took great care to get through the very small opening and got everything hooked back up. This visit was to add an extra air duct line from our second AC unit into the family room. With it's vaulted ceiling and western facing wall of windows, this room has always been difficult to cool. The extra line did the trick! He and his staff are always very professional, on time and do great work. Tina who works in the office is also a pleasure to work with. Always pleasant and very efficient. We will definitely use them again for our AC needs.

I moved into a house where two of the rooms are warmer than the rest of the house. Before moving in, the home inspector found the air coming out of the vents in these two rooms are about ten degrees higher than the other vents. We called around to a few places, but no one was ever definitive on what the problem is considering the AC unit is working properly and Freon level is good. Some recommended vent work, but we did not feel comfortable with that solution as the technician did not sound confident. This led us to call Accu-temp. Rafael, the technician came out and reviewed the problem. He did the routine checks and found that the air near the upper part of the air distribution box in the attic is about ten degrees warmer than the bottom, and the ducts going to the warmer rooms happens to draw air from the upper part of the box. He then performed a leak test of the coil. No leaks were found. Next, he wants to put some more Freon into the unit to see if that would even out the temp in the box. This is where he found that the valve won't open to allow Freon input. He suggested replacing the temperature exchange valve since it does not seem like it is opening properly. He did notify me that on some instances, replacing the TXV might not fix the issue and the coil (much more expensive) will need to be replaced. Rafael took pictures of the TXV and only charged us the traveling fee. We wanted to reconsider since the TXV costs about $450. After finding out our home warranty won't cover this, we called back two days later. Rafael came back out but did not have the part information for the TXV. Some how, the pictures he took were not there. He retook some pictures and had me callback for rearranging an appointment. The next day, Rafael came back out with the TXV. He replaced it and made sure Freon levels and pressure were correct. Replacing the TXV resolved our issue! I was relieved the coil did not need to be replaced. I was very satisfied with Rafael's expertise, work ethic, and communications on the technical details. Thank you very much for resolving a major issue in our new home! I gave Accu-temp a "B" for punctuality due to the time wasted due to the TXV part info not being availability. I had to miss two hours of work for that, but otherwise, I would definitely use and recommend Accu-temp in the future. PS. They also sent us a hand-written appreciation card for our business.

The guy who came out was prompt, thorough, and professional. He did NOT try to upsell me on other services, unlike another company that I had used in 2012.

Service rep showed up at the agreed time, was very professional and knowledgeable. Performed the request checks and provided an estimate of service life left on the units which was used as part of a home inspection report prior to expiration of the option period.

They came when they said they would. 3 people were here for 6 hours to get my system installed. I believe they charged an extremely fair price for an awesome unit. Most of the companies in Austin do not install Rheem systems. However, Rheem HVAC systems have one of the highest ratings/reliability. The priced they charged was very reasonable given how unbearably hot it was in our house while they were working on it. Most importantly, there were no hidden surprises with the cost. They took care of modifying our HVAC closet by adding insulation that wasnt there before. They added a breaker for us so we could pass the rebate inspection. They did pretty much all the leg work for the rebate except mailing it to the city! (i bet they would have taken care of that too if not for the fact we need to sign the rebate!). The people working there are extremely friendly and responsive. They're a small company, which limits their overhead. These savings are passed directly to the customer!

First and foremost Rafael was great. Just a nice person to be around with and very informative and patient. I also didn't get any upsell. The concern that caused me to call them in the first place was that my top unit wasn't blowing cold air anymore. I was naturally curious, so he explained how the whole AC process worked for me and showed me why it wasn't working (I had a clog in my condensation drain line, for which he vacuumed out) and how I could do preventative measures to help it. The maintenance was very thorough. He checked that air coming in/out had the proper delta. He checked the outside units to see how the load was, etc. He warned me that one of my units was running at capacity / slightly over, but it's still working and I don't need to be concerned about it at the moment.

A/C went out overnight on a Thursday night.....called AccuTemp first thing Friday, and they had a technician at our door at 9:30AM. Can you get any better than that. Response time was big for us, because my wife works from home & was dreading working at home with no A/C in July. Can't recommend these guys enough.

I called to schedule an appointment to have someone come out and give me an estimate for a new air conditioning/heating system. I spoke to the owner and arranged to meet him at my home after work. Apparently, he did not tell his admin and then forgot about it. Nobody showed up and nobody called. This is a very competitive business. Missing a scheduled appointment? Keeping me waiting without even the courtesy of a phone call? Next!

Our A/C stopped blowing code, and I discovered the fan of the outdoor unit was no longer coming on. I did some limited research and determined that it could be the capacitor, but I decided to use AccuTemp to send someone out to make sure. I called in the morning on a Saturday, and they were able to send someone out by lunchtime. The repair took around 30 minutes and A/C was blowing cold again. I was very impressed by Rafael's courtesy and professionalism. He did the job right for a reasonable cost. I would definitely recommend AccuTemp for A/C service for a similar problem as mine in the future, and will likely use them going forward if I have A/C problems.

Raphael called to say when he would arrive, and he did on time. He quickly diagnosed the problem and made the replacement needed, after which he thoroughly checked the unit and found no other issues. When I have another issue to resolve or replace my units--reality--I'll only call AccuTemp.

Fit me into their schedule the next morning. Was on time. Made minor repair at no additional charge. Very courteous and efficient.

Our A/C stopped working the evening prior. I called several HVAC companies we've used in the past the following morning and no one was able to respond same day for repairs. I found Accu-Temp through Angie's List and they scheduled my appt. for that afternoon, following a previously scheduled job. I received a call shortly after and they offered to have the technician stop by on the way to the other appointment since my location was in route, if it was convenient; with possibility the repair could be done quickly without having to wait until the afternoon and without impacting the other scheduled appointment. Steve diagnosed the problem and completed the repair within 30 minutes! It was super convenient for me to get this done so quickly. Everyone I spoke with at Accu-Temp between scheduling and repair appointment was very friendly and professional. Accu-Temp will always be our 1st contact for HVAC service in the future!

I would call Steve again, and I recommend him to my friends.

Steve was helpful and professional. He couldn't locate the leak, so he offered to have another serviceman come out to look at no charge. The AC and heat are working again, and the system looks better than when he arrived.

This started with a repair to one of my two central air units. It needed quite a bit of Freon, and Accutemp accomplished the repair quickly and well. The two units were ~15 years old, so I decided to replace them, and asked Accutemp and two other Angie's List recommended HVAC companies to bid. Accutemp was the only company to follow through the bid process. They worked with me to get the type of system I preferred (Rheem) vs what they usually installed (Goodman) for a good price. They scheduled a time to come out, and, again, showed up on time, did great quality work, and cleaned up well. I was very satisfied.

When you call they come either same day or next day. They do not try to upsell you or make as much money as they can off of you, they just do the job and do it well. A very reliable and professional company that you can count on that takes pride in its work. That is all you want for your AC system.

We were very impressed with Steve's candor and common sense recommendations. We will definitely call Steve in the future once we've been able to evaluate how the system in our new house works.
