Description of Work: Replaced all windows and siding of house. Quality of work was very good. Detail and service oriented. Project went very well, but some workers did not do total clean up. Workers left debris in work areas and did not clean windows before leaving. I would hire and refer the contractor anytime.

Description of Work: Talked a good talk - very polite and caring on the phone - came over to look at the wood rot - said he would call and schedule appt for work to be done - never called - I called him back - same thing - never called. Work never done - Angie's list refunded my money after 10 months. Don't use him.

Description of Work: Replaced rotted wood, replaced several exterior doors, painted exterior of home and shed. Wayne and David took their time and treated my home repairs with care. I believe that they did the work as if it was their own home. I had issues with the paint I purchased. Wayne and David went to the store twice and got the problem resolved. They do quality work at a Leisurely pace!

+ 0 moreThis provider did a good job. The problem came with scheduling in that I contacted him in November 2013 and after multiple ties, finally got him out to actually do the work in January 2014. I take some of the responsibility for this since I travel quite a bit but it was never this big of an issue with other contractors. He would always give me the excuse that he was just so incredibly busy that it was difficult to "work me in". I was at the point of telling him to forget it when I think he got the message that I was tired of waiting. It was even difficult to get him to meet after the job was finished so that I could pay him. I imagine he was placing a higher priority on the larger, higher paying jobs rather than my small one. However, the contractor is a very kind and pleasant person and was never rude and the job was well done.
Description of Work: The provider repaired rotting wood along the fascia and soffit areas of the roof line.

I had some 4X8 cedar siding that needed to be replaced on my outside chimney. They clean up after they were done. I was very satisfied with the job they did. I am going to use them for another project in the future.

We have been put off on at least 3 occasions from dates/times promised. Very frustrating to set aside the time to be home to wait for the guys and either not get a phone call or get a phone call at the last minute stating that they had a bigger job and will have to reschedule.

+ -1 moreThe process of getting the pergola constructed was a good experience and I am extremely happy with the way it turned out....and it definitely adds value to my house. I knew that I wanted a structure built that would provide shade on the west side of my house, but I wasn't sure how the boards would go together since it was an L-shape. Wayne came to my house, he brought copies of his trade license, BBB accreditation, insurance, etc. , we discussed the project and he drew a rough sketch of what I envisioned. He came back at a later date and gave me a bid on the project. Then, before starting the project, he brought his carpenter to assess the project and answer any questions I might have. The carpenter was very confident and reassuring from the beginning, and during the construction phase did not hesitate when I asked that the pergola follow the curve of the patio below and some other details that truly made this a custom-made pergola. In addition, the cedar that was used was top quality.
Description of Work: I had an L-shaped stained cedar pergola constructed over the back deck.

+ -1 moreI cannot recommend Mr. Martin highly enough. He went way above and beyond to help a couple of total strangers when we really needed work done in a hurry. He helped us repair some fairly extensive wood rot on a detached garage, gave us advice for other projects, and really came through for us overall. Wayne is an experienced, friendly gentleman with expertise and skill. I can recommend him with zero reservation. I certainly intend to call him for other projects as they come up.
Description of Work: Wayne came on a Saturday by himself to help us with some wood rot we needed repaired in order to meet the appraisal on a property transaction. He removed the wood rot just like we needed and provided valuable advice on other projects we intended to do ourselves. He also helped connect us with a masonry contractor to do some required repairs.

+ 4 moreAs promised, as priced, and with minimal stress or delays. In one part of the job, when a sub-contractor dropped out of the job at the last minute, Wayne and his son came out and completed a portion of the framing needed for the windows!
Description of Work: Mr. Wayne Martin and his crew have been an absolute delight to deal with, from start to finish! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We wanted an existing patio enclosed into a sunroom we could use year round. After getting estimates from local San Antonio contractors that ranged from $24,000 to $43,0000, we went with Wayne, but it was not only because of price. Wayne incorporated the exiting cedar beams and posts on the patio, which were in perfect condition, but one of the other contractors wanted to remove (probably to help run up their estimate). He made the enclosure in all wood, Hardi-plank and cedar, which perfectly matched the rest of the house. His crew(s) showed up when promised, worked late often and got everything done as promised. Wayne also kept us totally informed when there were things delayed outside of his control, such as special-ordered materials. He was always available for questions, and completely honored his contract. Wayne also did something no one else was willing to do. We have a Jacuzzi on the patio, and I wanted to install a door large enough to allow the Jacuzzi to be removed, in case it needed to be replaced or we wanted to change units. Wayne worked with a door company, and even drove to Dallas to pick it up to ensure it wouldn't be damaged in shipping. The results are AWESOME!!! This job included wood framing, exterior enclosure using Hardi-plank and cedar trim, interior enclosure using wood decking and cedar trim, and installing insulated thermal windows, a double-panel sliding glass door and fixed windows to allow maximum light into the room. I am using Wayne for other projects; I will be posting additional reviews are completed, probably in early September 2012.

+ 1 moreWayne kept me informed from the time the order was placed, during the installation and provided follow up after the installation to be sure I was satisfied with the work performed. Wayne is very professional as well as his installation crew. They did an outstanding job. The quality of the windows were very good and came with a warranty. I highly recommend them for any replacement window project you may have. I will use their services again in the future for a planned patio cover and possible sun room.
Description of Work: Our master bedroom has 3 windows that face south and near a busy road along with another window that faces the east. We wanted to replace these windows with windows that not only would drastically reduce the transfer of heat, but also provide the highest degree of sound abatement from road noise. I had several contractors call and want to replace my windows, but when I asked about sound abatement specifications they had no idea what I was asking about. Finally, Wayne Martin of Texas Leisure Company came to my home and bought a demonstration window with him for me to examine along with all the important specifications I was looking for.
