Renewal by Andersen of Dallas Ft Worth

Well, that's 2 hours I'm not getting back. Definitely pushing a product without considering the customer. Pushed financing of list price 44k discounted to 35k for 16 windows. No call back or follow up. Business must be good, they sure didn't want mine.

For my windows I ended up using Anderson. I got Anderson windows and it was a contractor out of Dallas and it was called Renewal by Anderson. I am still having problems with the windows and they have not resolved the issue that was identified in the final installation. I have got a long train of emails back and forth, to keep them on their toes to try to get my window issue resolved. It was a nightmare from one end to the other. We kept going back and fort on the windows because they kept screwing up on everything. I know what I paid but I don't think that that was a fair thing. I think I got him for less than what most people would pay because I kept telling them to take money off because of what they were doing and they kept taking the money off. I think that my windows are probably not a realistic price that most people would have paid. I didn't get all the windows done, I have only got a part of them done. The issues have not been resolved. Honesty and integrity, that would be something that I have not really seen or felt comfortable with. I would say that they are pretty reputable in the marketing part and then I found out that their actions really dictated otherwise. They have 5 more windows to do so they will match. The windows are good, it is just the people part of the process is what's not so good.

The service went well. They came out and measured and the windows came within probably about five weeks later. Then, it took them a day to install. There were no problems. I thought the price was a little high. They forgot to do one thing when they came out once so they had to come back and do it. I do not know if I would use them again in the future because all my windows had been replaced by them basically, but if I had another house, I might use them.

They were made to order, measured twice, made sure it was what my mom wanted. All the windows in the house were replaced and they look amazing. The gentlemen who installed the windows were very polite. They cleaned their mess and made sure we were very happy with the work. I would use this provider again in the future.

It's really good and I enjoyed them. They did a really good job but it was very expensive. I used them twice and I like them. The quality of work's the best and it's worth it. I don't have any problems with them. They came back immediately and fixed something. I would highly recommend them.

I had no problems except that they were very expensive. The work was excellent. The only problem I had was it's hard to compare them against other companies because they all make different products. It was really hard to know if it was a good value or not. I just had five windows done and I don't know if I'll use them again or not because I don't want to pay that much money for the rest of the windows.

We were not happy with the installation. We told the installers we have two cats & they needed to have no more than two windows out at a time. We had to stay on them as they were trying to take out all the windows, leaving our house completely open. They were also leaving the packaging on our grass instead of the driveway so I kept having to go out and have them move it as we didn't want big spots of dead grass due to the extreme heat. They did not do a walk through when they were done. We found several screens which were not clasped. We also had to have someone else come back out to clean up glass and debris they left behind. Overall we were very disappointed with the process. We were happy with the quality of the windows but not with the price or installation.

The replacement of the original-equipment windows in our home went fine. Andersen's crew arrived at the appointed time, did their work and cleaned up after the installations.

Don't get me wrong - the product is amazing (albeit exorbitantly priced). However, the project dragged out nearly an entire YEAR before it was finally completed and the whole thing was one of those "cluster" things one hears tell of from time to time from start to its eventual finish. If we had to do it again, I'm not sure we would.

Very knowledgable, well trained installers, very nice to work with. Did everything the way they said they would. Love our new windows. The electric bill has gone down a lot.

Everything was done as promised. The product is as good as advertised. This is my second purchase from them.

We scheduled an appointment a week in advance. They required both husband and wife to be at home to make a decision for a 90 minute consultation. We scheduled it on a Sunday afternoon at 2:00. We finally had to call the company at 2:30 for them to tell us they were overbooked and weren't coming out. They didn't even have the politeness to call after they hounded us all week long about this appointment to make sure we were going to be at home. When I talked to manager on the phone he could "maybe" talk to the sales manager where one head of househould could be here for the appointment. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!! I was skeptical after reading the other reviews, but gave them the benefit of the doubt.

The service was good; they were very professional.

The service was pretty good. A couple of windows arrived with broken frames and they said they were not packed separately, but they fixed that in a couple of weeks. There also was a problem with a bathroom window they installed that would not latch, but they came back and fixed that. They kind of left a little stuff around and did not completely, perfectly clean up after themselves. This was a minor irritant. I thought the price was pretty good. They were running a special at the time where we did not have to pay for labor so that is what caused us to inquire. They were pretty good windows.

We were very satisfied with the end product. We had a few snafus along the way. They were very speedy about getting things corrected. The window was put in by one of their door men who didn't have the total expertise for the window. Another guy came out to make corrections to make it work right. The product was a high end window which is very useful to use. The glass goes up and down and it is easy for cleaning. It has screens so it keeps the bugs out and we can open it different ways. The quality of the finished product is excellent. It was very expensive but it is good for a lifetime. It is very expensive compared to other products but they stand behind it and the quality is very good.

We were very disappointed in the sales presentation. We were told in advance that we would be given an estimate on replacement windows that would be valid for one year. But when the sales rep came, it turned into a timeshare-style presentation. The rep was not interested in any outcome other than us signing and paying at the appointment. We told him we were looking to replace 9 windows, but he did not give us an estimate on that. Apparently he thought his odds of closing would be better if only quoted 3 windows, so that is the option he pushed. And when questioned about the estimate good for 1 year, he insisted that the only option that would work would be a price that was good only at time of appointment. When we told him we needed to think about it and do our research, he got irritated and said "you're not calling back". He did not provide the written estimate that was promised in advance & we felt like we had wasted 1.5 hours x2 (they insist that both spouses be present as others have said - just like a timeshare sales pitch). The product quality looked promising, but the fact that they are not interested in customers that do their research or get other estimates should be a big red flag.

They are real professional, I had windows done by them before, and so the windows I got were good quality. There was a mix up of which which windows were going to be solid glass, and which ones could open, and they came back at another time and fixed it. I thought their customer service was really good. The price was a little steep, but you get good quality, and I am happy with the windows and the service. They were pretty expensive relative to other companies that I have come across. There was a miscommunication of some sort, and they didn't show up when they were supposed to show up.

They were very knowledgeable. They did a great job of explaining what the advantages of their windows over others. They were very good about the way they did the installation. It was done very well. It was done very timely. It was finished in a quick, very fast fashion. The follow up was good. We had a little question, because they had to remove a couple of little bricks, about how that was redone. They answered that satisfactory to our standards. We’ve been very pleased with the product. Winter is different in our living room this year. We did not get that feeling of a little draft. We did not really compare different replacement windows but we liked what they said and what they were saying. The price was high.

They were fantastic. They were very knowledgeable. They knew exactly what they were doing. I felt very comfortable. They made me feel comfortable which made them function correctly. The people who came to do the installation were great. I can't say enough. They were very good.

I would tell people to run away from them as fast as they can. The don't deliver what they say they do, the installation is horrible, the parts don't come in all together, they drag their feet, they have absolutely no customer service. It took 3 months once they started installing it, to finish it, they just don't care.

Team of men was quite amazing. They removed all old wood windows and complete frames. Each new window is custom made for the opening. They come pre cut to a certain extent, but the new frames are made on sight. They are a composite material that looks like wood, but is not entirely. We can also really notice how they keep the hot air away from coming in like it used to. They are not cheap, but they are very beautiful. You can get them in white, or cream or other neutral colors. Love them and the team worked very hard and were very neat,

The product is excellent but it is way overpriced. They treated us like a used car salesman. They will not leave until you throw them out. It is a very high pressure hard sale. I even had the district manager in my house and he was the nicest guy in the world. He dropped the price down because I was just fuming over it. He made some changes to the contract that haven't been executed and that's been 4 or 5 months. Their business practices leave a whole lot to be desired. I think they are as crooked as the day is long. If you can put up with all of that, then the product is excellent. You would probably do okay if you know how to handle used car salesmen. The whole experience left a really bitter taste in my mouth. They are way, way, way overpriced. Initially they were responsive but once they got my money, I never saw them again. I didn't have any problems with their punctuality. The installers were superb and we really liked working with them. They advertise very strongly that it is all RBA and there is only one throat to choke. That is an out and out lie because all of their installers are contractors. If you have a contractor or installer problem, they will send them back out. Their whole approach to marketing is out of the 20's and 30's with the salespeople not leaving until they have a contract. They owe me money and I've requested it 3 times. They haven't even answered my emails. You can pretty much count on $2,000 a window and it is probably worth $1,100 or $1,200. They keep knocking the price down and until you get to 50% off, you haven't reach the retail price. There were no other options that would hold up in this heat.

Very good. On schedule and budget. Quality of work was good. Crew was courtious.

The time the told us they would show to install was different than the time the install crew had, they were very quick on accommodating us for the mix up. When the crew arrived they got to work quickly. One of the guys asked to use the restroom I said yes but had I known her was going to take a 3 flusher poop I would have sent him to the gas station. I had to inhale his scent for more time than I like to remember. The final product is beautiful and as soon I payoff this pricy window we will buy more to finish the front of our home..

The service was very good. They came when they said they would. They were courteous and finished before noon. They make an excellent product, and I have noticed that I hear less street noise and my electric bill has gone down some. These were double paned windows, but I was told they were equivalent to triple pane windows sold by other manufacturers. They are expensive, but if you want quality, you have to pay for it. I am paying it out over 5 years, but these are windows that will never need replacing. I have less expensive vinyl windows across the front of the house, and I have noticed that dead insects and other debris from outside seems to work its way under the vinyl windows. I have never had to clean the Anderson replacement windows. They are tight and nothing works through the seal. I hope at some time in the future to replace the windows across the front with Andersen.
