Renewal by Andersen of Dallas Ft Worth

I need to honest in giving my opinion. If I had it to do over again, I would not. They look good as ascetically, but so far have not had the efficiency I was told they would have. My kWt usage has not gone down, and if I turn thermostat up, it reaches higher temp quickly. Beyond disappointed. The installation team was fantastic, but were given a window that had bad glass and needed replacing. Took a long time to actually getting it replaced. Prior to getting on the schedule for it, a manager set an appointment to come look, as there was several windows that had overflow on the glass from manufacturing. Installer told me it all needed to be removed by hand with razor blades, but I'd need to call service. Also told me that the caulking on the Andersen sliding door I had installed weeks prior needed to be redone or I'd have problems. The service manager that was to come look at all this, but missed the appointment. I phoned and he agreed to come the next day on a Sunday. Reviewed it all and said he'd get it scheduled. Many, many days went by and I reached out to him having never heard from anyone. Never did, as he didn't even have the courtesy to ever call. The replacement window installer finally came, but said they didn't have time to do all that other and would have the main manager phone me. Again, not even the courtesy of a call and had to start all over with service. Set new appointment and they came. I had been told by main installer, as well as the replacement installer, that it was a full day job and why neither had time to do such. But, these guys were gone in under an hour and left them so dirty, with serious smudges & fingerprints all over them. In addition, I had phoned my salesman asking him to please come show me best way to monitor temperature, as I'd purchased a thermal gun to do so. He said he'd get out, by that's been weeks and I've yet to hear from him. I wish I'd not spent the $136,727 on them and done something different. Don't see how I'll ever get my money out of them now.

We are a year in to a $30,000 window replacement job that was installed poorly, causing a crack in our daughter’s wall. We are on our sixth Renewal by Anderson contact, who is coming to the house tomorrow, to once again see the crack that they have already admitted they caused (notably this is the 4th person to come look at the crack). Over the last 11 months, the install date was moved twice, sub-par windows were installed, causing a need to order new grids for 7/8 windows and a new screen that had been sliced. When they returned to fix the improperly manufactured and installed grids, they still could not finish the job because they had ordered the wrong replacement grids. During this time, we discussed our issues and asked for them to confirm there is no structural damage to the wall and/or offer us a discount. Multiple contacts admitted that Renewal by Anderson caused the crack at install and there is no way to know the extent of the damage without removing the shutters and checking behind the wall. We were passed from the sales rep to an install manager, to another rep, to another install manager, to another production manager and now to the general manager after repeated requests to finalize these issues. At one point we were asked to call Lance, the second install manager, while he was on medical leave because no one allegedly has authority to do anything but for Lance. Lance agreed the company would do what it needed to make this right and that would include working with our plantation shutter company to remove the shutters, confirm the extent of the damage and fix it, and have the shutter company reinstall the shutters. Despite this, we next heard back from a separate manager who said the company is not willing to do anything other than facially fix the crack but that for sure we would get some kind of discount. My husband just set up another meeting with the general manager after our last contact went silent, and he has now said there will be no discount and is willing to talk options about fixing the crack but they are not willing to pay for this. The work was not performed in accordance with the warranty, the company has bounced us around for almost a full year, and are now refusing to honor any of the commitments that previous representatives promised us along the way. We are hoping that this last meeting will properly rectify the last year of frustrations and damages. If so, I will update this post.

The entire experience was professional. From working with Ray on designing the new windows to the installation supervised by Brian. I don't think I will need to replace any windows any time in the future but would strongly recommend Renewal by Andersen in San Antonio to others.

Overall, we are very satisfied with the work that was performed and the quality of the windows that were installed. However, the behind-the-scenes process and communication from the initial design consultation to the completion of the project left us rather frustrated and scratching our heads at times. From the start the initial order we placed was input into their computer system incorrectly, which then led to a series of unnecessary events. We received our contract the same day of our appointment and made our design consultant aware of the inconsistencies no more than a couple of hours later. Upon review of the matter, he then informed us the corrections were made in the system, but we would soon discover that was ultimately not the case. We even confirmed the corrections with the second representative who took the initial measurements later that same week, and that person also confirmed the corrections. When our installation day arrived, the crew asked us to verify that all of the windows and screens were correct, and to our surprise, we had to turn them away since the order that had been placed was the original incorrect one and not what we selected. Management at the company did finally step in to resolve these issues, which led to additional corrections that were overlooked by our design consultant and a re-order. With all of that being said, we couldn't be happier with the final products. They are truly the best windows we've ever encountered, from the Fibrex material to the ease of use for cleaning. The second installation crew, Jeff Millshow and Drew Grimes, went out of their way to handle everything with the utmost care. We would certainly hire this company again, but I would definitely triple check your order choices and verify with a manager.

It was a little rocky at first, due to issues with the salesman who confirmed our window choice without confirming with the manufacturer - two weeks after we paid 1/2 of the balance, we were told that the stylus we had chosen could not be Done, and we had to choose a different style. However, the installation process was excellent. William Sparks, the installer was great. During the installation, he found a tiny bubble in one of the picture windows, which happened to be at eye-level. He called a supervisor, who came out and informed me that they would replace that window. The replacement process was also flawless. Love the windows!

It went very well. James Sparks & crew were very respectful, professional, efficient, & prompt each day they came to install the windows, They worked well together, only took a short lunch break then got back to work. I had James take down my existing curtains & blinds and he did so only on the windows they were installing each day and replaced them perfectly, all lined up with the windows. They asked me which windows I wanted them to start on first so I could coordinate their work with my security company appointment afterwards. My windows have beautiful dark brown frames to match my home with full screens from top to bottom on windows that open. I was able to select the grids that I wanted on some windows and a frost on the bathroom windows. These windows have cut down on road noise so that the inside of my home is much quieter. I am very pleased with my windows and the service I received.

Eric and John were here on time and were very professional. We are very happy with the work they did and they explained everything we needed to know. This was followed up by Lance, the field supervisor who wanted to make sure all our questions were answered as well.

Overall, the installation process went well, though I was disappointed that one set of instructions I gave at the outset was not followed during the installation. I am pleased with the windows and would hire again for the next replacement I need to have done.

We had a couple of windows installed a few months ago, and liked them so much we recently had Andersen windows installed in the rest of the house. We really love the quality and appearance of the windows. From start to finish we were extremely pleased with the professionalism of everyone involved, from Andrea who measured all the windows, discussed options, colors, and went over all the details, to Toby and his installation crew. The installation work went smoothly, and the crew were friendly and helpful. A cold front just came through and I can tell that the house is staying warmer and the heater coming on less frequently. We are very happy we chose Andersen for our window replacement project.

Renewal by Anderson of DFW replaced all the windows in our 25 year old home and it looks like a new home now. The new windows are stunning!! We cannot stop staring at them and it's been 2 days now. Craig Case and his team from DFW were a pleasure to work with and they took care of everything beautifully. They did an amazing job. My home is spotless, and it was significantly more complicated to see it done than I imagined. We had both brick and siding downstairs and a very high pitched roof for the upstairs windows. The team was incredible - efficient, skilled, professional, kind and a joy to have in my home for 2 days. What a great crew and a great company. We've thought about doing this for 5 years and have had bids twice now. We did not select the cheapest company. We selected the best company because we are only going to do this once. Donald Kennedy, their Field Supervisor, came to our home in the process and gave us an overview, checked on everyone's work, and followed up to make sure we were happy with the results. We LOVE our new windows!

Ordering the Anderson windows and the subsequent installation went very well. William Sparks and his sidekick Rusty were a pleasure to work with and the installation, including the clean up, was completed in less than five hours.

We had a wonderful experience with the entire process. Our sales rep, Gavin Callan, was knowledgeable, polite and very punctual. Kyle Wilson, Operations, was efficient, specific in what information he needed to confirm and confident with the product knowledge. The installation team lead by Craig Case was respectful, efficient, punctual, fast and cleaned up after themselves incredibly well. There was clear communication by all parties involved. We are very happy with the beautiful and well insulted windows. Easy to open and clean, too. I highly recommend RbA for replacement windows.
