Arboretum Tree Service

Billy met me prior to beginning the job and walked the property with me to let me know what all was included in his service. He then provided a written estimate for the service within 24 hours of meeting with me. The crew showed up a few days later and did a fantastic job cutting, shaping and trimming the trees and bushes. They cleaned up and hauled off all the branches and debris and left the yard in better condition than when they started.

This was the first time I used Arboretum Tree Services. They worked until the job was finished and they were very good at cleanup. I was happy with everything and will give them an "A".

The owner was very helpful. They were on time and quick with the jobs. My trees look great.

Billy and I met a couple of weeks before the service. We decided what needed to be done. I just told him to call me when he could come out. A few days later, he called and asked if the crew could come do my work then. I was home, so he and I decided exactly what to do and the crew went to it. They did everything PERFECTLY, cleaned up well, and boom, it was done! Crepe Myrtles were topped, butterfly bushes topped, old rotted stuff taken out, big bush canopies raised, and brush removed. Extremely efficient and superbly done.

Billy showed up on time to review the work I wanted completed and provide an estimate. We discussed options regarding the magnolia before I decided to remove it. I had quotes from 2 other service providers and I thought his was very reasonable given the work requested. On the day of service he called me at work to let me know how everything was going. When I got home I saw that the work was completed as promised and the crew did an excellent job of cleaning up. They came back the next day to grind the magnolia stump and that was done well too. My yard is now ready for a new tree.

Wanted to take advantage of an Angie's BigDeal coupon with Arboretum Tree Services. Spoke with Billy Jordan who listened to what I had to say about what I needed to have done. We set up an appointment for him to take a survey of what I wanted to have done. He came as agreed to with his truck clearly identifying who he was. He acted professional and considerate, listened again to what I wanted to have done. He offered some suggestions and recommendations but did not make any attempt to pressure me into doing them or to try and up sell me on additional services. He knows his business quite well and we laid out a plan of action for the tree trimming and pruning work to be done. He called me back the next day to confirm what we had decided on and then set up appointment for the work to be done. He and his 4 person crew came promptly on the agreed to day and time. They worked flawlessly, took great care not to damage any of the surrounding flower beds, gutters and other structures on the property. Their work was so outstanding, you'd never know that anyone had done work on my trees. Their clean up was spotless and the cost was exactly the price quoted and agreed to. I whole heartedly recommend Billy Jordan and ARBORETUM TREE SERVICES.

Mr. Jordan arrived at the scheduled time to give me an estimate for the service, and we agreed on an amount that I thought was very reasonable for removing many branches hanging over my house from very tall trees in my neighbor's yard. Mr. JOrdan's crew arrived on time and worked throughout a very hot day, striving to make the trees look good while still getting the branches off my property. Mr. Jordan was polite and professional at all times. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing assistance with trees.

I contacted Billy who was polite, friendly and helpful in coordinating the services I needed. He came on the appointed day, calling when held up by a traffic accident to let me know they were on the way but a bit late. He has a crew of 4 who worked well together and worked steadily for the day. Billy consulted with me several times in the day to be sure that he knew what we were looking for in the trimming. Billy was on the job with his workmen all day except when he went to get them lunch so he knew exactly what was happening with the trimming. Clean up was exceptional, and the yard, patio and pool were cleaner than it was when they started! He is knowledgable about tree health and had good suggestions. The trees look wonderful and we are very happy with the entire job. I would definately hire him again and would encourage anyone who needs this service to consider his business. Thanks!

Billy Jordan and his folks were very professional. He briefed us on exactly what their work plan was and what they planned to achieve. The work site was completely cleaned as they worked. Our trees look absolutely great! We will definitely use this company again and recommend them to others.

Everything went great. They were professional, on time, respectful. They did an absolutely great job of keeping their work site clean continually. They completely cleaned up after each day and left nothing behind. Billy was also very knowledgeable about trees and offered advice which was important to us as we wanted to work with someone who had a sincere knowledge and interest in trees. I called Arboretum on Tuesday, had an estimate on Wednesday and the job completed on Thursday. Throughout the process, the owner communicated exactly what would be done. He supervised the job and his team worked well together.

Billy and his crew were punctual, professional and cleaned up all debris before they left. They consulted with me about all of the work they did in the front yead and I was happy with the results. In the backyard they were supposed to remove two dead trees and any dead limbs. They got carried away and took out many lower hanging live limbs as well as the dead ones. We no longer have our shady sitting ares but we do now have a fine view of our neighbors back door and patio. I should have paid more attention to what they were doing in the backyard.

Second, when Billy does the preliminary evaluation, he'll patiently educate you as to why he is recommending certain procedures for the health, longevity and beauty of the trees. He is not trying to sell you on unnecessary services; everything he suggests is for the longevity of the trees. Third, he is onsite to supervise and help with all that the job requires. He has incredible follow through and is a superb listener. If your trees have not been regularly pruned for decades like ours, it's hard to accurately picture how they will look after pruning because of the years of overgrowth that have accumulated and obscured the trees. The difference is stunning! It's like decluttering your yard so that the eye is drawn to the beauty of the trees and your house. It is money well spent. Thank you, Billy and crew! I have a very large heritage oak in my back yard. I had purchased a deal on Angie's List for $200 off service. Billy Jordan came out to look at my tree and give me a bid. We agreed on the price and he returned on the day that we had discussed with his crew. Billy Jordan is very professional and knowledgeable, and they did a wonderful job on my tree. It was trimmed beautifully, and he assured me that it will probably not need further trimming for 3-5 years. There was not even a limb or a leaf left in the yard - everything was cleaned up and taken away. I would most definitely recommend Arboretum -

You can't get any better service or price than this. Billy was punctual, polite, professional. His crew of four worked hard, cleaned up really well. Billy's crew did it the right way, sprayed the wounds and didn't leave branch stumps.

Billy Jordan came by to give an estimate within a day of my call. He took plenty of time to explain how he would have the trees trimmed and cleaned out so that they would grow in a healthy way and be attractive. He discovered that one of our trees was sick and needed a soil treatment. He and his crew came out within a week to do the job. Billy and his crew were punctual and ready to work. The first thing Billy did was walk around with me to review everything we had talked about before. I asked if he could also trim a couple of branches from a neighbor's tree that was hanging over in our yard close to our roof. Throughout the time of the job Billy was on site with his crew giving them direction as they moved from tree to tree. Our sick tree had a soil treatment, was mulched and metal edging was placed around it. Extra mulch was placed around other trees and a bed in the backyard. When the job was done, Billy walked around with me to make sure I was satisfied with each tree. The crew picked up all the branches and left the yard clean. We are so pleased with how healthy and attractive our trees look. We will surely be calling on Arboretum again.

Excellent! If your trees need any sort of care - this is the guy for you - the cost is competitive, he has the right equipment and safety gear. I called for an appointment and within a day or two Billy was there. He was punctual with his estimate appointment and spent about an hour going over each tree, first listening to my concerns, and then clearly explaining what the trees needed, how he would approach trimming them and provided options for me to consider. The following week he was on time with his team (fearless in my eyes) and they got right "up" to work. Billy's team had all the right equipment and safety ropes to get job done. They even had to get on the second story roof to trim a big branch and then used the blower to clean the roof off! BIlly was with his team most of the day continuosly checking and directling the progress from across the street and different views and angles. I was able to watch the work and chat with him and he consulted with me occasionally throughout the day and in the end, left my property cleaner than when they started and I have beautifully serviced, graceful trees that allow for more sunlight and growth. My lesson learned from 3 years ago: don't be mislead by other tree services that might be a bit cheaper, that only trim the bottom of the tree, thin the lower branches out a bit and leave the upper branches to grow out all over and crowd and compete with other trees. Spend your money wisely, keep your trees healthy and growing and get the job done right the first time .

The estimation was timely and right on. The job was done with enough crew to handle all of the tasks safely and in a timely manner. The crew was professional and worked under the supervision of Billy Jordan. Billy is very knowledgable and professional. I would recommend him and will use him again.

The price was less than $600 for everything he did the last time and he did a lot. The one thing I liked is that, after he trimmed the trees, one of the guys came up here and used the blower to blow all the trash out of the gutters. It was the residue. He had me come across the street with him and look at the trees. He said that we have to look at the trees away from them because that’s what people are going to see. He told me why he had cut the trees the way he did. I think he trimmed the trees back in November. He gave me the reason why and the trees look great. I am really surprised. I think my husband wasn’t sure whatever the guy was telling was the truth, but it is true. The guy comes out, gives you an estimate and tells you what he does. He doesn’t try to push something on you. Last May, he cut the huge Japanese Ligustrum trees down because they were over powering our whole yard. He cut them all back. There was nothing but the trunk of the trees left. He said that when they grow, they would look better. The trees looked really good. He is really good. He doesn’t want to do something that you are not going to be able to live with. He will give you suggestions. If he sees that you are kind of apprehensive about it, he will tell you to think about it and to call him to let him know. He is not pushy. I have had people come and trim my trees who have trimmed my trees in such a way that they looked like they had bad haircuts. The guy from Arboretum Tree Services does a professional job and you can tell that he is really into his job. It’s not like just coming over, trimming the limbs, picking them up and leaving. They also clean up after themselves. I had trees cut down before and I had to go out and rake whatever trash was left. He is really good. My husband almost had a heart attack when he saw the Japanese Ligustrum being cut, but they look really good now. The tree service guy told me even before he did it what it was going to look like. He said that I wouldn’t like what it would look like. He said that if I wanted him to just trim it, then he would. He also told me that he would do whatever would make me feel comfortable. He is coming back again in September to trim my other trees.

Billy Jordan responded to my email the morning after I sent it late the previous evening. We agreed on a time for him to come give an estimate for the work needed. He arrived promptly and spent a lot of time with me discussing the job. He is extremely knowledgeable and pleasantly answered countless questions about my plants and trees. On the day of the job, he arrived with the crew at the appointed time and worked for about five hours (est. as I'm not sure). They cleaned the area so that you couldn't tell anything had been done. The men were supervised the entire time by Billy. Afterwards, he took me around the entire yard to show me the work they did and explain everything. Now here is a man who truly loves his work.

Arboretum Tree Service absolutely wowed me. Billy and his crew are stellar. They worked hard, knew what they were doing, showed up when they were supposed to, and didn't waste a minute once they started. Other pluses: Willingness to negoiate work and pricing; professionalism; no advanced payment required; thorough clean-up after each work day; frequent and fantastic owner supervision and oversight; helpful advise and suggestions; and expert knowledge. They may cost a little more than some other companies but they are worth every penny. One of the best contractors I've ever worked with, and I'm an old broad so I've done a lot of projects over the years!

The work turned out fine. They took it all away. I didn’t have any clean up left to do.
