Dear Valued Customer, We appreciate the time you took to provide our company with your feedback. Upon further research into this claim, we have record that the leakage from each commode was fully serviced upon our last appointment at your home. Dear Mr. [Member name removed], We have reviewed your rating of our company, and after further investigation of this claim we do not show we serviced in the past you as a homeowner or your address of 235 Corona St. We are unclear of where the confusion lies, and we hope you can find the correct plumbing company that provided you with their services in order to relay your rating. Good luck and take care!

Description of Work: Replace a drain pipe and drain box. The first visit, they turned the water off and never turned it back on. When they returned to turn the water on, they didn't check to see if they had hooked everything back up and they had not. Water was spraying all over my utility room. When I let the plumber know, he grabbed our shop vac and started using it to clean up the water in my utility room and garage. It wasn't until 3 days later when I went to use the vac that I realized he had used our equipment. It was never emptied or cleaned up, just left along the wall in garage. When I let the next plumber that came to finish up the job, he acted like these things happen. The job was completed but this was not a good experience.

Description of Work: Fred Wright use to be in Rockport Texas where I once lived. He use to have his company name is Wright Plumbing. He was so bad and unprofessional at his job he had to move to San Antonio to get work. I was scheduled an appointment for a clogged drain and broken water softner through my home warranty company with this company. After scheduling two appointments, for which no one has shown up on time/schedule, I looked company up on Angie's List. After waiting a week long for no shows appointments and seeing that this company is too owned by Fred Wright I am calling my company to reschedule with another plumbing company.

1. Zeus Plumbing was NEVER named Wright Plumbing. It was named Fred Wrights Plumbing. Use only Factual information when posting accusations about a company. This is false information. 2. Regarding your statement about the area where this company operates. You are not an owner, operator or employee of this company and clearly have NO FACTUAL KNOWLEDGE about why Zeus Plumbing is operating in San Antonio. The allegation you made is considered libel and slander and legal action can and/or will be pursued. 3. We have to assume you are using a fake or different name to place this review because we have no record of any service ever attempted to be scheduled for you. All workorders placed by home warranties are sent via email and customer names can be found easily and all emails are kept. Also, the address you provided on this review appears to be a commercial address, not the service address we would have been given which appears to be misleading. It appears you may be misrepresenting yourself. Zeus Plumbing demands that this review be removed as it includes false accusations, allegations, defamation and false information.

Took forever. He came out Thursday and said too late to get new heater from warehouse. Then Friday he said they were out of the heater he wanted as he wanted the best. Monday he came with an AO Heater 6 year warranty. I could have gotten a GE 12 year heater at Home Depot.

I set up an initial appointment for March 29 for an estimate of the work I wanted done, which went fine, although they were late. An appointment was made to have the work done on April 19. I had to take the entire day off work because I was given a four hour window between 8-12 that they would show up to do the work. At 1:00 pm I still had not even received a courtesy call that they were running behind so I called the office. I was told by the gal who answered that they were running late and should be out there in 30 mintues. At 1:45 they had not shown up and I had to reschedule the appointment. The next scheduled appt was April 26th between 10 and 2. Again....I had to take the day off of work to be there. Once again...no one showed and no courtesy call. I called the office to explain that this was the second time it happened, that I had to take yet another day off work AND that I have NO working stove to cook on until they come to do the work. She said she would call them and call me right back. After 30 minutes passed and I she had not called me back, I called and got an answering service saying they had all left the office for the day. UNACCEPTABLE in my mind. Must have been celebrating Fiesta. Unfortunatley, I could not take my children, who were off school that day, to the Battle of Flowers parade because I had a scheduled appointment with this company that they didn't even bother to show up for. Poor, poor, service:( UPDATE 6/9/13 I noticed the response from the vendor and here is what ended up happening. I found a reputable, professional company that took the time to do the homework and find out how to get the job done to CODE. They even took the time to obtain a special certification. Zeus made appointments with me, for which I took two vacation days to wait for them at my home. If they refused service... WHY DID THEY MAKE TWO APPOINTMENTS TO PROVIDE THE SERVICE and then not show up either time with no explanation or courtesy call. Nothing professional about that.

I heard nothing from the company, and called back one week later and asked to speak with "Fred" as directed, to find out what was happening. He was not available, and I left a message with a lady to ask him to call me. No call. I did the same yesterday, and spoke with Jackie, with the same response, and promise that she would ask Fred to call me. Again, no reply from Fred. I called again today, and spoke with Leslie. I told here that Fred was not replying to me. She called him, and apparently, he was not working today, but told here that the parts were either shipping to them this next Monday or Tuesday, or they would be receiving them on one of those days. I repeated that we are selling our home and need this repair done right away. I called American Home Shield to report my problem. We'll see if they are any help resolving this lack of responsiveness.
Description of Work: I have a plumbing leak in my Jacuzzi tub, and arranged through American Home Shield to have it repaired. They sent Zeus Plumbing out.. The technician came out very quickly and diagnosed the problem. He said that he had to order some parts, and that he expected that they might be in later in the week, and that Fred, the owner, would be handling the parts order, and that they would call me when the parts are in to schedule the installation. I told the technician that I am trying to sell my home, and need to have the repairs done in a hurry. He took my service fee and left.

Overall the plumber we worked with was a much better experience than prior plumbers we had dealt with. Although he never showed up during the alotted time frame he did have a much more constructive and positive attitude. He did not have a problem explaining what he was doing and why he felt it could resolve our issue. When the toilet wax ring replacement did not fix the smell he came over to perform a smoke test. This is when things went south. The first issue was that he could not climb up on the 2 story roof to close off the vents as he is not allowed to be on top of a 2 story. He had been to our house before and knew we had a 2 story home. I volunteered to get on the roof and close them off myself which I did. He then began to assemble a make-shift smoke machine consisting of a bucket and shop vac. While I am not a plumber and have never performed a smoke test myself I do know there are machines for this. I became concerned when his comments and behaviors began to indicate he had never used this setup before. He then taped the "machine" to a sink drain and the shop vac. I asked if the test would be valid as I assumed the pressure from the shop vac would blow a p trap somewhere in the plumbing system. He assured me it would not and that it did not put out enough pressure. When he performed the test he lit something that produced smoke in the bucket. It immediately set off all of the fire alarms in my house. We checked around for any leaks and the only source of smoke was coming from an upstairs bathroom far away from the source of the smell. He suggested that this was the source of the smell and the leak. I was not convinced and when I lifted the toilet lid it was obvious that water had blown out of the toilet all over the bottom of the lid (blown p-trap). He began to theorize multiple scenarios as to why the smell could be occurring... None of which sounded logical compared to the situation at my home. He then called someone at his company to ask for more instructions. I asked him to leave as he wanted to retry the test and I was not convinced of the validity of the testing and it was late in the evening. He was professional and packed his things and left with no issue. He reported that the upstairs bathroom was the problem to AHS. We have since had another plumber out who resolved our issue. It was not the upstairs bathroom.
Description of Work: Zeus plumbing was sent to our home (after several prior plumbers) to investigate a sewage leak smell in our master bathroom by AHS for a warranty claim. The plumber came out to the house multiple times to perform various diagnostics. The first was to visually inspect the toilet for potential leaks. He did find small hairline cracks in the pipe below the toilet which he sautered and also replaced the wax ring and caulked around the toilet. When this did not resolve the issue he inspected the traps in the tub, shower, and sinks. He received authorization from AHS to perform a smoke test which he attempted to perform.

Both times he showed up when scheduled, was professional and worked quickly and efficiently. I'd use them again for non-warranty issues.
Description of Work: I had the plumber out twice for work covered under my home warranty. The first time was a few months ago to fix/replace the intake line on my water heater that was leaking. The second time, more recently, was to fix a leaking, slow flushing toilet. Both times he showed up when scheduled, was professional and worked quickly and efficiently. I'd use them again for non-warranty issues.

After a long weekend away over the Labor Day we came home to a flood inside our home. It appeared that our water heater located in the attic had broken and dumped it's contents on our coat closet and there was water in the foyer and laundry room. We contacted First American, our home warranty company, and they assigned Fred Wright's plumbing to fix our problem. Fred Wright Plumbing was to arrive within 48 hours. After waiting 3 days we called First American because no one had arrived. They finally showed up on the 5th day after we had called, and the plumber took one look at the water heater and said there was nothing wrong. He then said we owed him $60 for the service fee. When we asked several questions the plumber told us that he was only there to determine if the water heater had any problems, and it was his professional opinion that the water heater was in good working order. We had shut off the water to the water heater in the attic (we have two water heaters so we still had hot water in one guest bathroom and kitchen, but no hot water in the master bathroom and the mother-in-law suite bathroom. Fred Wright's "brilliant" plumber turned the water back on to the water heater and said we should have no problem. Two days later we had water dripping from the ceiling of our coat closet. We had taken precautions and removed everything from the coat closet, spread out old towels, and placed a bucket under where it appeared the bulk of the water had come from previously. The bucket was full and had overflowed. Since we had already had a plumber confirm that there was nothing wrong with the water heater, and everything we saw in the attic indicated the leak was coming from the water heater, we ended up calling Jeff Holub, a general contractor we had good success with in the past. We were going to have Jeff repair the secondary damage anyway, so Jeff came out and said the water heater was broken and leaking, and he would not start repairs until the water heater was replaced. We then called First American and they agree to have Fred Wright come back out. Again Fred Wright took almost a week to respond. When the plumber arrived we were grateful to see it was not the same plumber. This time the plumber took one look and said the water heater was broken. He said it was obvious and couldn't believe any plumber could not see that the water heater was broken. He told us Fred Wright Plumbing would notify First American and arrange to have a water heater delivered. He assured us it would be installed in the next couple of days. He set us a date for Friday, October 12, 2012. Fred Wright Plumbing called us Friday and said they couldn't make it out on Friday and asked if they could come Saturday. We agreed. We got another call Friday evening confirming they would be arriving, and then a call back saying they couldn't come out until Monday. We had already scheduled Jeff Holub, our general contractor, to come out on Tuesday to start the repairs to the damaged ceiling, walls, and doors. Thankfully Fred Wright Plumbing arrived on Monday and completed the installation. We would never recommend using Fred Wright Plumbing for any services because we don't understand how a plumbing company could send a plumber that couldn't tell that a water heater was broken, the fact that they were never arrived on time, delayed every service by several days, and then over-billed us for services provided.
Description of Work: Fred Wright Plumbing was to replace our broken water heater located in the attic of our home. It took them 3 hours to complete the job. It took 2 people because the water heater was in the attic. They billed me extra for the second person at a plumber's rate and that person could have simply been a laborer. All the second person did was provide muscle to get the old water heater out and the new one up into the attic. The water heater installed seems to work great and they added some new features, and the second plumber they sent out seemed to know what he was doing, but the initial plumber couldn't even tell that the water heater was broken. Since this was covered by my home warranty we had to pay a $60 service fee. In addition to that fee Fred Wright Plumbing billed us an additional $327 for parts and services above what was covered by the warranty. When we checked this with First American, our home warranty company, we found they had overcharged us by $50. Fred Wright Plumbing agreed that they overcharged us but we are still trying to get that money back.

We do not have hot water since Monday 9th of October and today is Saturday13. Company came twice and the problem is the same or worst. We are very disappointed with the lack of concern and poor performance.
Description of Work: Our water heater was not working, not getting hot water. We contacted our home insurance company who selected this pluming company for the service. They came on time to fix the problem and work on the water heater. Next morning we still did not have hot water. Contacted their office and explained the situation. They told us to contact our home insurance company for a new claim. We did as asked and call them back to come over, our insurance gave the ok for them to return. We explained to the attendant how important it was for them to come as soon as possible. They schedule the next visit for Friday afternoon even thou it was Tuesday. We waited all week without hot water for their appointment. They came and work on the water heater again. Saturday morning we are without hot water again. Called them back twice. They took our claim and we waited all day for a phone call. They never call us back. We have being without hot water for the whole week, we are senior citizens and my husband has rheumatoid arthritis and it has being very hard for him to shower with cold water. I explained to them our situation, we are very disappointed with their performance and their lack lack of concern.

Plumber was supposed to perform leak detection on the main water line (from the meter to the house). He was here for 10 mins and did absolutely NOTHING other than tell me that my home warranty would pay for anything outside of the main foundation. I understood this and still wanted the work completed. He did NOTHING and did not have the proper equipment with him to do the job (although the office confirmed prior to the appointment that he would). He left, then callED the warranty company and told them that he found it to be a leak in the yard and confirmed that there were no slab leaks. Claimed he was on the job site for 1 1/2 hours. BS!! I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND RECOMMEND THAT OTHERS DO NOT EITHER!!

The work was completed in a very professional manner and he was very reliable at his job. I only wish the facts would have been addressed before hand and attitude would be different about it.
Description of Work: The lowboy water heater broke while no one was in the house and ran for a long time before being found. I had a home warranty which would replace the water heater and cover the labor so they contactyed Fred Wright Plumbing to check the water heater. The plumbler arrived about 30 - 45 minutes after the time I was told they should be there about 5:30 P.M. on Friday afternoon. I was told that the water heater had to be replaced , which was covered by my home warranty except for the service call. The problem came with having to bring items in line to comply with the San Antonio Codes. I was told that had to be done or they could not install the new water heater. The questionable items were the pressure reducing valve (prv) to bring my water pressure from 83 to 80, an expansion tank because of the PRV, and and overflow pan which the water heater to sit in. There was suppose to be a permit require and a follow-up inspection for the code compliance areas above. The work was performed in a very professional manner, he was very knowledgeable, and explained the work. My scoring and remarks are due to not being told they were told a permit wasn't required because my home is in the county and not inside the San Antonio city limits. This meant the code inspection wasn't required becuse of being in the county. I wasn't given the opportunity to refuse the code upgrades which would have taken between $350 - $400.00 from the $925.00 bill. My water damage wasn't covered by my home owners insurance and I would have opted to spend this money on repairin the water damage and not something that I didn't need because of the situation. I asked the question in an email reply when I was notified after the repair work was done by email. I never got a response. I believe this is an integrity issue and not being truthful to the customer. If I were told the facts before the work was done and the price was adjusted for the piping and cut-off valve replacement, then my view would be positive for the work completed.

The plumber was reasonably prompt. He took 2 full days, and worked hard. There was a delay because one tank leaked and had to be replaced. The finished product looks great, and he took away everything he pulled out. He also explained all the shut-offs and required maintenance. The price above is what we paid after the American Home Shield reimbursement. Another firm quoted us a reverse osmosis system for about the same price, but that didn't include UV, chlorination, or a new salt tank. The plumber even helped us when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the house while he was giving us the tour after he finished.
Description of Work: We bought an existing home in the hills below Pipe Creek. The condition of the water was not good, especially in regards to bacterial iron. Though we had a well inspection, it basically only addressed harmful chemicals. There were iron deposits in the house, and the dishwasher couldn't get dishes clean. The water conditioner in the well shed was going through conditioning salts at a very fast rate. American Home Shield didn't want to pay anything, but they relented and paid some. They insisted we use Wright. Their plumber said he fought with them to get more reimbursement, as did our realtor. The plumber came up with a multi-stage system, leaving nothing behind but the holding tank. It including a chlorination tank, a new iron filtering technology, a new conditioner, a new filter which removes very small pollutants, a new salt storage tank, and a UV light. It may be overkill, but the quality and water flow are vastly improved.

The leaky faucets were fixed properly and in a timely manner. We are still waiting for the fixtures on the other faucet and the reverse osmosis filter or new filtration unit if filters are no longer available for the unit. (The unit is over 20 years old and may need replacing entirely.) We have used Mr. Wright for almost 20 years. For real emergencies, he comes very quickly, even on weekends and holidays, and always does an excellent job. However, for non emergency work, he takes a fairly long time to get around to it and needs reminding to come out. His work is always of the finest quality and his prices are reasonable.
Description of Work: Fixed leaks in two faucets. Gave estimates on new handles on one additional lesser used faucet and installation of a new reverse osmosis water filter for kitchen sink.

I called Mr Wright for an appointment and he (or his personnel) came on the day we established, fixed the problem very well and charged a very reasonable price. This service was outside, so I can't comment on punctuality, since they could come at any time during the day. I was very pleased with the service as described and would call them again. It's rather sad that I was ridiculously happy to have someone come and do what they said they would do on the date they said they would be there and at a good price -- they provided good customer service, which seems to be getting more and more rare.
Description of Work: We had an outside faucet with a lever that opened and closed to add water to the pool and that lever had frozen and broken over the winter. They replaced the lever connection and ensured that everything was working properly so that the pipe feed to the pool worked.
