Description of Work: Maintenance agreement renewal and checked air conditioning unit. Were prompt and courteous.

Description of Work: They came to look at our old unit that was making noise. Gave us a price for a new unit which was cheaper than another company. Price included an god warranty and a 2 year service plan. Installers were here on time to install new unit and completed the installation in a timely manner. Since then a tech has been back to address a few issues that we had with the operation of the unit. I am still having some noise issues with the outside air conditioning unit but I am pleased with the service I have received.

Description of Work: Raised attic ducts off flooring & hung with straps for better air flow. Also connected couple of ducts that had come loose.

Description of Work: Steve and his Team are the best HVAC Contractors in NE Texas. We thoroughly researched every service advertising their businesses prior to our decision. Everyone from mom and pop, Home Depot, A#1 Air, etc. |Steve is honest. He gave us several options as we wanted a complete replacement of HVAC units, relocated to attic, with new ductwork, and controls. Steve personally supervised the install and did everything agreed by contract plus extra work as needed. |We have had two seasonal check-ups that were included with install. Professional men (employees) went over every aspect of the HVAC operation, cleaned, and replaced filters. |As you probably know, it's expensive to replace an HVAC unit. Description of Work: Bi-annual maintenance on our two HVAC units for our home. They do a great job, keep our warranty up to date and make us feel confident that we won't face major problems.

Description of Work: I have always thought Long enterprise was a reputable company but my trust was shaken during my most recent spring tune-up. The technician performed a tune-up on my two air conditioners. After inspecting the upstairs unit I was told that he was unable to get a reading on the downstairs unit. The technician went outside to look at the compressor. After inspecting the compressor I was told that the compressor was locked up and I needed a new unit. I was given a quote of about 2800.00 to replace only the outside unit. I told the technician that I would have to think about it. The very next morning the technician called and asked if I was ready to move forward with getting the unit replaced. I told him I had not made that decision yet. Instead of moving forward I wanted to get a second opinion so I called another HVAC company to look at my unit. This HVAC company came out the same day and did not charge me a service call since it was a second opinion. They told me that the compressor was fine and that a wire was disconnected from the condenser and tucked up inside the unit. They stated that the compressor was pulling the correct number of amps at startup and peak. Needless to say I was furious and called the owner of Long Enterprises. I was offered a full refund for my annual service as well as sending another technician with a longer tenure to come out and perform the inspection. The technician arrived on time and performed an inspection of the unit. The unit checked out fine. The technician stated that there may have been a bad spot on the coil that just happened to hit when the prior technician was performing his inspection. The technician started the compressor multiple times but was unable to replicate the prior technicians issue. I will give them a second chance but unfortunately I will have to monitor the technicians activity until I feel comfortable again. I will also make sure this particular technician does not perform any inspections on my HVAC (if he is still employed at Long enterprises). Since I already paid for the spring and fall checkups and was not refunded the cost I will see how the fall inspection goes. Hopefully I will be able to provide a better review. I did want to point out that I have been using Long enterprises for 3 years and never had this issue before. I am hoping this was a one time occurrence.

Description of Work: Provided cleaning and maintenance for two brick fireplaces. Price was high considering the job, but work was excellent.

Description of Work: They said they would only charge for part. $325.00 for a $35.00 part. If they charged for the service call and part it should have been aprox $80.00 for service and at most $50.00 for part. aprox $130.00 for all. they charged 2.5 times that much. never again
