Description of Work: Needed AC tune-up for my house. The technician came right on time as scheduled, had shoe covers on to prevent foot prints since he would be stepping in and out of the house (That was really considerate of him). He was very polite and gave good explanation of things he did. Will definitely use this company again in future.

Description of Work: They totally ripped us off. They told us they needed to charge for removal and disposal of refrigerant. They neither removed nor disposed of anything. They wanted to make more money off us simply because we had a home warranty that doesn't pay as much. Then, when we called them out on their scam the lead tech got in my face, started cussing, and left my house without AC after we paid them. I want my money back!

 + -1 moreBackground: Gorman called me two months ago and advised that they had a part they found that goes on my HVAC unit and when the installer was here they somehow left it off. I contact my home warranty company and they advised to have Gorman come out and install. They finally came out after a week (brrr) only to find that the part they had would not work. They said they would be back in about a day. The day went into a week before they found a used part. They finally got it in about a week ago, and I had heat. A week after having a part installed that was left off my HVAC from last March (and prevented me from getting heat), I noticed a noise from the unit that was very loud and sounded electrical. The serviceman came out and said the wires were arcing and I would have to pay another co-pay (on the same problem) because the wires had "aged" since March. So I have had two co-pays on the same problem from March, and the additional payment made then.
Description of Work: Company was called to come out on repair that was still not completed from before (March 07, see previous report).

A return visit (called a recall) by Gormans by another technician (also nice) advised me that the installation of the first part caused the second part to fail. That I needed a new motor. After installing a new motor, he advised that the compressor needed replacing but it should be covered. They had to order the part. They called the next day and said most of it was covered but would take several days to get. They said the amount I would owe would be small. $360! I guess this may be small for them, but for someone on a fixed income...it is large.
Description of Work: Fix heat/HVAC. Not heating properly. This is the only HVAC used for Nations Residential. The serviceman (a nice young man) came and said that the condenser was just not strong enough to heat well when the temp is under 40. While here he installed a new run cap and found the unit operating correctly. He told me to keep it on emergency heat when the temp was under 40 and there should be no more cold air blowing.
