It was fantastic! Bill and his crew of two showed up that morning and went straight to work. They were, as cliché as it sounds, like a well oiled machine. They had the old windows out and the new ones in within a couple of hours. They cleaned up everything and hauled off the debris by noon. Truly impressive! Megan has called twice to make sure all went well! Very thorough, very customer conscious. Well done!

Everything was very friendly and professional. Just git a better deal elsewhere.

Everything that was promised was delivered in the time frame predicted. Provider kept us in the loop as to order date, delivery date and installation date. All service techs were knowledgeable , professional and accommodating to specific requests. Product constructed per specifications and special requests and price was more competitive than 'big box' quotes.

I wanted to add another window to an existing room for extra light. Dan Hatcher sent his foreman to my home for a review of the project and measurements. Because of the dimensions of the window it had to be special ordered. When the window arrived Dan's crew came out and installed the window. This was not a typical install because they had to cut a hole in the stone exterior wall as there was not an existing window. After opening the wall, installing a header,installing framing for the window and finally installing the window the crew had to redo the exterior wall stonework around the new window. I was very apprehensive about the stonework but when the installer was finished mortaring new stones around the window opening it looked great! The stone on the new window opening perfectly matches the existing openings - it is very difficult to see that this window was retrofitted. I couldn't be happier with the results.

Awesome work! I love my new windows and plan to have Zen do the remaining windows in the back of the house. My family came by while they did the work and were so impressed they want Zen to do their windows too! I highly recommend you get your windows done by Zen. Dan and Bill make a great team to make sure all is perfect.

I used an Angie's list coupon with Zen windows. I had four windows that needed to be replaced and updated. My old windows were just that, old. I called Dan Hatcher, owner, to ask him about his windows and the installation process and he was very professional and answered all of my questions. Bill came out to measure then order the windows and about a month later they arrived. Bill and a colleague installed all four windows in one day as promised. Dan made sure to follow up and make sure I was satisfied with the installation and the windows. I like how the windows are easy to clean, and how they are double sliders so you can open them from either end. They are beautiful and they look great in my bedrooms. I love my new windows! Thank you, Zen Windows!

Zen Windows was courteous, fast, and effective. I love my new windows! I plan to use them to replace more of my windows in the future.

The new employee made a couple mistakes putting in the window. I left a message on the company's voice mail on a Sunday morning that the window pane would fall out when I opened the window. The owner of the company contacted me within hours, came over on a Sunday afternoon, and fixed the installation mistake. He also sent another employee over a couple days later to totally re-install the window to make it easier to open and close. I was very pleased with the perfection of the final job and his prompt, concerned, and helpful attitude throughout. He truly is a person dedicated to customer satisfaction.

There was a couple of issues and things were not done to my satisfaction. I contacted Dan, and he did something I have never seen done before. He refunded my money without me asking and stated that I will not pay for anything that I am not happy with. He then came out personally and corrected the issue. In my opinion it is hard to come across someone who is as ethical as him. He made it a goal to provide excellent customer service and went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the job. I consider myself a picky person and usually do not recommend companies. However, in this instance I am impressed and would highly recommend him to anyone.

I hope this review saves someone a lot of time and trouble. My house had garbage windows that had gotten dirty from the inside and could not be cleaned. I got a bid from Renewal by Andersen to replace them all. $28,000!!! (and this was for their more affordable product line). I got a bid from Home Depot. $18,000. Zen WIndows came up with a bid very quickly. As promised, I didn't have to listen to a lengthy sales presentation or suffer a salesman in my house for hours. Their bid was just over $12,000, and the windows seemed to be at least as high quality as the ones offered by the other two vendors. I am not a contractor and should not be trusted to judge the quality of window manufacture. But the windows they put in seem just great and I am very happy with them. I got the ones that are triple-paned and they seem to offer much better insulation (both sound and temperature). The installation was very smooth and these guys treated my home with care and respect. My home had some unusual features (three, odd-shaped architectural windows in the living room) and these guys handled it quite well. I wish I got to write more reviews like this one. These guys were great and I do not hesitate to recommend them.

After a little rough start (installers were 2 hours late and didn't call - I had to call them), it went extremely well. Both Bill and Adam worked quickly, efficiently, and did a great job. I was skeptical they could get the job done in the time-line they gave me, but they did. They did an excellent clean-up job, hauled all the trash off and were leaving my house at 5:45pm. I will definitely use ZEN Windows again for the additional windows in my house that need replacing (probably next year!). The price was exactly what I was quoted, no hidden expenses and they look great. I can already tell the new windows will make my house more energy efficient and quiet. I also got the opportunity to meet the ZEN Windows owner - Dan. He came by to drop off some material the installers needed and took the time to show me how the windows work as far as cleaning them, etc. He was super nice and personable and I appreciated him taking the time and showing interest in how my job was going. Lesson learned - next time I won't book the work to be done on a Monday (or a Friday). Mid-week is a safer bet for everyone being on time.

The pros: --The cost was fantastic. It was also a reduced cost because of an Angie's List deal. --The installation, so far, seems to have been well done. No real issues that we can see. --The guys were nice, friendly. --The windows seem like good quality windows, although not high end. We were looking for something substantially better than the 22 year old single paned wind-tunnels we had, and these are a huge improvement. The cons: --They were incredibly late, which required that two days in a row, they had to work until 8 pm in order to get the job done in the two days they had promised. We work from home, so we didn't have serious scheduling conflict, but for other people this could be a huge hassle. And it meant our kids were up past their bedtime two nights in a row. They were apologetic, and the owner or sales guy told us that they are short and installation team, but still . . . --While overall the work was pretty well done, there were some details that we had to push on. For instance, the clips for our blinds were still on the window frame and they didn't remove them when they caulked on the inside, so there were gaps in the caulk where the clips were. We pointed it out and they fixed it, but why did we have to point that out? We had asked about the clips when they arrived and they told us that they would remove the clips if they needed to. --There's a fair amount of residual work that we have to do: patching nicks in the framing of the window area, repainting a piece of trim they had to replace because they broke it when removing it, cleaning up the grass areas under the windows, which have little bits of plaster and wood in them (we have little kids and dogs) So, good, not great. Possibly the level of service we should expect for the price we paid.

They completed the job in a timely manner. Dan, the owner communicated to us throughout the process, telling us what to expect.

It rained in the morning scheduled for installation. Manuel, the installer, called early and offered to come out as soon as it cleared up or, if it was more convenient for me, to come back the next day. I elected to have the work done on that same day and the installers arrived soon after the rain stopped. They proceeded to work and kept it up with minimal break time until after 9 that evening, when they declared the job ready for my inspection. The work was well done and the new windows look and work great.

I am telling everyone I know about Zen Windows. They replaced all 16 windows in our 30 year old house March 2014 and I am overjoyed with our new windows. Dan Hatcher @ Zen Windows is the most honest and gracious person I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Every single facet of this project with Zen was so seamless; beyond ease and efficiency. Before finding Zen Windows through Angie’s List I got quotes from several other companies. None of them came remotely close to matching Zen’s quote or quality of product. You can go with another company but expect to pay more for less. One company wanted to replace our mulled windows (twin sets set side by side) with one big slider to cut costs. That would have looked terrible and they were still 49% more expensive per window. Right out of the gate I had a good feeling about Zen. The first step I took was filling out a quick questionnaire on their webpage and within minutes I received an email with a quote. This knocked my socks off because all the other companies sent sales people to my house that I had to fit into my already busy schedule. One company REQUIRED that my husband be present. As if he has nothing better to do with his precious time off then sit and listen to a sales pitch! I refused to do business with them based off of that ridiculous policy alone. Another huge difference is that the others window companies required a deposit. Zen Windows will not take a dime until the work is 100% complete and you are satisfied!! They have to do a good job or they know they won’t get paid. Two and a half weeks after Dan ordered our windows we had our new windows installed. The two men that installed them were rock stars. They went above and beyond the call of duty. They worked their butts off and were so good at what they did that I felt like I had won the lottery (having had some pretty bad experiences with contractors in the past). They even replaced some rotten trim. They were fast and thorough and they did such a good job cleaning up after themselves that you wouldn’t have even known they were there. Our new windows are amazing! They open from the top and the bottom. They have tilt in sashes so that I can open the window to clean the outside of the window from the inside of the house. Also, we cannot hear anything outside anymore and our backyard faces a busy street. The amount of dust in our house has noticeably decreased. My house looks new and so pretty now. Here is the description of the type of windows we bought from Zen: Zen Premium Double Pane Glass Package with Cardinal Engineered UV and Heat Reflecting LowE-272 Glass and Insulating Argon Gas, Includes NEAT glass technology (See Video). FRAME: All Windows to be white in color. No Grids. Frame to be made of 100% virgin vinyl and fusion welded corners for durability and easy tilt in sashes for cleaning. SCREENS: Includes InvisaScreen - half screens I hope that you check Zen Windows out before signing any deals with other window companies. Personally, I cannot imagine a better experience!

I didn't end up going forward with this big deal because of timing. However, all my interactions with company were great. They are very professional.

Wonderfully attentive and answered all questions thoroughly. I will be replacing the rest of our windows with Zen/Daniel Hatcher!

There were some issues having an older home. But Zen window owner Dan Hatcher made sure that all of the issues were resolved to our satisfaction. Dan stated that no money would be required until all work was completed and we were completely satisfied. The windows were ordered in November and and the install started January17th. The later install date was done to fit our Holiday schedule. No down payment was requested! We are extremely pleased with the quality of the nine south facing windows that were installed. Zen's price was well under the other three quotes that we received for premium windows. The install was finished this past Friday. Dan will be here this afternoon (Monday) to do his walk thru and final evaluation. So, pending his evaluation we expect to pay the contracted amount. Did I say that these windows are all double hung, triple pane, have neat glass and full invisible screens. Dan completed his evaluation, we paid the original contracted amount. BTW, Dan even paid for the touch up paint!

Zen's responsiveness to my inquiry was immediate, thorough and genuine. The decision to replace windows is no easy task, when hard earned money can be spent in many places. I went through all the paces and sat through all the pitches and can save you some time by recommending this company. The workmanship, lifetime guarantee, and project completion ahead of time were the foundation for no regret. Service, quality, timliness-attention to detail,100% satisfaction. How often does a company fulfill that these days?

8748The Ringer Windows office was very professional and easy to talk to. I gave them all of my information, and details about the project I am completing this fall on my rental property. I will be replacing 8 windows in my property. I live an hour away from the property, so I gave the office all of this information and asked that the person completing the bid head out to the property without me. About 4 days later, when I was expecting a bid, I got a call from one of the contractors to set up the appointment. I thought I'd already done this and was disappointed. I ended up going with another contractor because I'd received 2 other bids in the time I was waiting for the Ringer bid. Bear in mind - I am a bit high maintenance right now with a 7 month old crawling around and a business that is fast and furious, and I didn't have time to backtrack and make more phone calls.

The owner and installers of Zen Windows were professional, friendly, timely, and knowledgeable on the service to be performed. They took care in explaining the service from start to finish. Extra care was given to the final outcome and appearance, from showing how to work the product to clean-up of materials and house. The owner and installers took great pride in making sure that the customer came first and made sure that quality time was spent on installation, cleaning, and follow-up. There were no surprises to the final bill, as all was discussed ahead of time. Throughout the installation process, neighbors wandered in and out to check out the process and product, with all of them liking the results. Daniel, Brian, Ed, and Andy were a pleasure to do business with; we would definitely recommend them to others and consider using them again in the future.

It was an easy process, and Dan was very easy to work with. There were no lengthy sales pitches and the price was comparable to other estimates. I filled out a form online with what I wanted and gave him my measurements and he quickly shot a quote back to me. He then came out and remeasured the windows and ordered them. When they arrived his guys came over and installed them. There were a few hiccups in the way since our house was built in 1967, but they handled them with grace. All in all, they look great, and are a vast improvement to the original windows and doors that were in place before. And the original quote - the one from the email- was right on, no added charges or anything.
