Sales and installation were done top notch, without high pressure sales. Just follow up for measurements and ensuring accuracy of what is wanted, and accurate ordering. Measurement and installation crew were accurate, timely and meticulous on the installation which had some challenging openings from the existing brick around the previous windows. They didn’t rush over areas that gave some difficulties but did it right the first time. I would recommend Zen Windows for anyone looking for quality window company for replacement windows.

The old windows were becoming hard to see through and hard to open. After getting bids from a couple of "hard sell" and more expensive vendors, I luckily heard of Zen Windows. It was truly a zen experience--no pressure, lots of comparative information, all on-line or over the phone until time to measure the windows. The staff was professional, did not waste our time, explained everything, cleaned up afterwards. (A note: replacing your windows is not a neat job, lots of debris will be created and the space will be open to outside air for some time. Zen minimized the inconvenience for us and it was actually pleasant to have them in our home.) They were super picky about the quality of the work: after installing and cleaning the windows, they discovered a tiny scratch on one that I would not have noticed. They ordered a replacement from the factory and came back a few weeks later to replace it. It is SO wonderful to have new vinyl windows! They are energy efficient and EASY to keep clean, since they pop half-way out to clean the outside pane without going outside. We appreciate out yard more now that we can see it clearly.

The crew showed up on time both days and was very accommodating with my work schedule. They kept the areas they were working on clean and cleaned up and took the old windows and glass once everything was done. Very professional and would hire them again. Pricing for them was also very fair and no pressure tactics when it came to pricing.

Zen Windows replaced the windows on our 60+ year old house. The crew was friendly and courteous, the quality of work was excellent, and they did an outstanding job cleaning up. I accidentally over-paid, and would never have know if Dan had not called me about it and written a check to square things up. It was an outstanding customer experience and I would hire them again in a second.

It went magnificent! Robert and Bubba were extremely meticulous, so grateful for their dedication and attention to detail, such an exquisite gift! They cleaned up at the end of each and worked very hard. This has been a great experience for me, I have already been talking to my co-workers about my experience with Zen Windows. I definitely recommend Zen Windows to anyone who wants high quality windows installed by true professionals at a great value.

Scheduling was done promptly. All of our many questions were answered, and then the work was performed professionally and on time.

Pros: Communication about scheduling, measuring, and window options was good, cost was great (with an Angie's list deal), team was friendly and professional, and we've been very happy with the windows (for 2 years now), especially large triple-paned picture window in living room. Cons: Attention to detail wasn't always fantastic (missed caulk in a few spots, etc., and we had to point it out), punctuality was really off (but I work from home so it didn't matter too much to me). Biggest con was communication about new window. Although we were very clear with the scheduler that this was a new install, not a replacement, the team showed up not knowing that and not having the right materials. They had to "make do," although in the end, it was fine. But there was a lot of grumbling about what we paid for the work. We were clear about our needs and the parameters of the project and were quoted a price. They honored it, but weren't too happy about it. Bottom line: Not certain I would use them again for a new install, but definitely would for replacements.

I bought the "Deal" from Zen Windows $1499. for 4 windows. Dan immediately contacted me and sent his installer Martin out to measure and discuss style of replacement windows. The quote was reasonable and so we ordered, within 3 weeks the Windows were delivered and the next day Martin and his crew showed up on time and it took a day and a half to replace 7 windows. They were neat and were constantly cleaning up after themselves and boy did they do a good job with the install. I don't think I have ever had a project go this smooth and this painless! I would recommend this company and and all the people that are involved with it in a heart beat. Great communication, they answered all calls & emails promptly and I never had to guess at a thing. Great product too!

I had a rental house that was broken into and the vandals severely damaged one of my windows and kitchen door. Both had to be replaced and reframed. After doing my research on Aggies's list I decided to go with Zen Windows. I am so glad I did because the whole process from ordering to installation of the windows and door went without a hitch. Dan was so pleasant to work with over the phone and his mantra of not just installing great windows but to finish with a completely happy customer is truly a great example of what great customer service should be!

We needed to replace 12 windows on our home. My wife and I researched consumereports.org, Angie's list, as well as numerous other companies' websites. We were concerned about an online only windows business, but after sitting through a two and half hour consultation for a central air unit last summer we decided to give it a chance. Within 24 hours, we had a quote for their double hung, double pane windows. We then requested a quote for double hung, triple pane windows. Again, within 24 hours, we had a quote. We were really impressed with how fast they communicated and decided to order their triple pane windows that are called "Lotus" windows. Zen provided a notification when they shipped from the manufacturer in Ohio. Their lead installer contacted us once they were in and we scheduled the installation for the following Monday (February 1st, 2016). The installers showed up at approximately 10:30 on February 1st and began to install the windows. After they had installed 4 of them, I noticed that it did not look like the windows had two different spacers as a triple pane window should have. Sure enough, the windows were double pane and not triple pane. Dan stated that Zen ordered the Lotus window, but the manufacturer's system defaulted to double pane windows. We wanted triple pane windows, so Zen reordered the windows and the installation was scheduled for March 14 & 15. The installers again showed up at approximately 10:30 and began the installation. I had taken a picture of the manufacturer's window label that listed the u factor, condensation rating, and solar heat gain rating. The solar heat gain rating on the double pane windows from February was .21. After the second day of installation (all 12 windows were in, but trim work needed to be completed), I sent Dan a message in reference to the installation manual, warranty paperwork and a question about why the solar heat gain rating was worse with the triple pane windows (.26) than what was on the double pane windows (.21 - less is better). When the installers showed up on the third and final day, the installer started by saying that he just got off the phone with an interesting conversation with Dan. Come to find out, Dan had to call the manufacturer again to find out what had happened. Approximately an hour into the final day's installation, and the lead installer said that Dan was coming to the house. Dan drove over an hour to our house to explain in person that the manufacturer's system defaulted to the coating used in northern states for the triple pane windows. This coating allows more solar heat to come through the window than the coating used for southern states that want to block as much of the solar heat as possible. At this point, I was very upset - we were on our 5th day of what should have been an easy job. I told Dan that I understood that it was the manufacturer's mistake, but I was done trying to get the windows we originally ordered. Without hesitation, Dan did what was necessary to make the situation right. The installers finished the job and Dan sent the warranty information via an e-mail. Through it all, Dan maintained excellent communication via e-mail, phone, and then in person on the final day. I was very impressed that Dan personally came to the house to explain what had happened and was apologetic that my experience had not been easy. The installers were professional, friendly, and informative as they installed the windows. Lastly, the windows really are great. We love how they look and how quiet the house is now. Even though my job did not go as planned, my wife and I still think we made the best decision by going with Zen windows. If you are like we were - apprehensive about going with an online only windows business - I hope that my experience demonstrates how truly responsive Zen is to their customers' questions and concerns. I highly recommend them!

I have an eight feet sliding door and a large window replaced. The door and window were purchased from Home Depot. I found out after the installation that one of the door panel was damaged. After I got a new one from Home Depot, Zen was kind enough to send some one to replace it without additional charge. After opening the package, the installer found that the new door panel was still damage. So, it was not replaced. I finally got the 3rd one from Home Depot, and Zen sent the installer to install it successfully today, again without additional charge. I really appreciate Zen being responsible until the task is complete. All installers from Zen also have good protocol in cleaning up.

The owner, Dan, and his daughter, Megan, are personable and professional. They quoted us a price that was literally thousands of dollars less than the other two quotes we got. We contracted for 6 windows, 3 double hung tall (over 6 ft) and 3 sliders (long - over 4 ft). I wanted double hung, with the tic-tac-toe grates in the windows, double screens, for the tall windows and double screens for the 3 sliders. I was able to get everything I wanted within their quote - there were no hidden costs. The work was done professionally, and in a timely fashion once the work was begun. To be honest, there was some miscommunication between the installer (Bill) and ourselves, which delayed our installation, and I was quite upset (I didn't get notice of his late arrival, and then, Bill couldn't come that Monday, but had to return Tuesday in the afternoon). However, Dan to the rescue. He understands my frustration and quickly moves to validate my frustration and to solve the issue. Even though the delay was caused by the installer's helper not showing up for work (still not sure if it was illness or what the issue was, but he didn't show up to help Bill so that jacked up the schedule), Dan scheduled TWO installers to come to our house to make sure the job was done in one day, and even came to our house to help Bill install the windows, and to assuage my concerns. Dan was responsive to my questions and concerns about getting the job done on time (in one day). I am happy to say that the job was done in one day (at least the inside was. One other issue - WHICH WAS NOT ZEN'S fault but goes to show my luck - Bill had another installer, Kenny, help him, and Kenny came to the rescue as well, but Kenny was wounded the day of my install, so Dan came to the house to help out). All this to say, I was worried about my job getting done right and on time, frustrated about the miscommunication, but Dan and Bill and Kenny (poor Kenny) did their utmost to make sure that my job was done on time and professionally, making me feel that, although I didn't have the largest job in the world, at the moment, it was their most Important job. I would (and have) definitely recommend Zen Windows.

Bill the installer came out within a week of our order to measure. He was on time, friendly and professional. Within a day or two, we received a call from Meghan to place the order with the manufacturer. The windows arrived within the promised time of 4-5 weeks, but we needed to wait for the installation pending completion of some necessary masonry work. When this had been done, the window installation proceeded within a few days. Bill and his helper did a great job of installing our windows, and showed me how to clean all the surfaces quickly and easily. They finished in minimum time, cleaned up thoroughly, and even assisted in relocating the furniture which had been displaced. The only glitch was that there were a few small, barely noticeable imperfections in a few of the window panes. All things considered, Zen performed up to our high expectations, including following up with us to make sure we were satisfied with the product and work.

They did an excellent job. The windows look great and they left no mess. Shortly after my install was when all those rainstorms hit Austin and there were NO leaks. I am very happy with the look of the windows. Also they came and did all the measurements on a Saturday which was great because it was one less day I had to take off from work. They scheduled the install on the exact date and at the exact time I wanted and they showed up within the timeframe I was given.

Zen was great. They were very friendly, extremely patient as they walked me through the best pricing for my project and spot on regarding timing/expectations of when the project would be complete. I would definitely recommend using Zen Windows for any of your window/accessory needs.

Our house is more than 30 years old and the old windows were beyond salvage (many didn't move smoothly and some cannot be closed well; there were fogged windows too). So we decided to replace all of them. We purchased the Big Deals for the good price and reviews. And Zen Windows was willing to apply the same price on all our windows so we went with it. Bill was very friendly and flexible and showed up on a weekend to show us the samples (while he had relatives in town I believe). Three weeks after the order was placed the windows arrived and another week later Bill and Ivan started the installation. They reserved a week for the work but it turned out only took them 3 days. Bill was very good on communications. He called everyday before he came and was very responsive on questions/concerns. Also Bill did excellent job on caulking inside and outside with both wood and stone walls. Ivan was under training so his work quality varied but he was very willing to fix/improve and Bill always covered for him. Overall we liked the experience and love the new windows!! These make our house look like new. We did find one chipped corner on one window and Bill said he will get a replacement for us. The windows have lifetime warranty so we are not worried about it.

Dan, the owner, came out today and brought me the BEST heavy duty screen in the world. I love it and I am so happy !!! I didn't pay a dime for all his effort and I can't believe all the trouble he went to , to get me the special screen I wanted !! I am thrilled, amazed and can't be happier. He really went way above replacing my screen- its a very odd, wide size and quite hard to fit; but he did it ! I am SO amazed that he did all this work for me so I could get my heavy duty screen. Not to mention he is a very sweet man and drove a Long way to get to my house. THANK YOU DAN !!!!

I've had three different companies install windows. The first was a disaster and the second went okay. Zen Windows was the BEST! Wished they had installed all my windows. The windows were ordered and installed in a timely manner. Installers were great...same people that had originally measured the windows for manufacturer. Had a little mishap with the old mortar and brick around one window, but it was quickly addressed. I believe that this was due to the age and wear of the mortar not the installers. Regardless, it was still fixed. Very pleased with the overall process.

I called this company twice after seeing an Angies List deal to replace 4 windows for around 1500$ I could never get a hold of anyone while the deal was active, but finally did a few days ago. So a very nice lady emails me back and says we will honor the Angies List price but your windows come in at 100 united inches which puts you in the next price bracket so now it will be around 2500 for 5 windows. I expected the quote to be more than the Angies list deal because I wanted 5 windows replaced, not 4. But not almost double for another window. I am still not sure how they are honoring the Angies List deal.. The lady said my windows had to be 100 united inches to qualify for the Angies List price. In her email she said my windows came right in at 100 united inches so that puts me in the next price bracket? So really it is under 100 United inches 99 and below...this was a little confusing. So I remembered I took a picture of the ad because I was really interested and wanted the number handy. I looked it up and on the ad that was published on Angies List it said in plain black and white that the windows had to be 101 United inches. So I emailed her back a picture of the ad she just said very nicely I am going to call Angies List it was a mistake. This is just my opinion, but if you say the cut off is 100 then 100 should still work. If not, then you say nothing above 99 or 99 below, or below 100.. And if it is a misprint, supposedly, you do the right thing and honor it. The deal isn't even on Angies List anymore, so when she said she was going to call them to have it changed... The whole thing was just weird. So this company would give away business based on one inch, just doesn't seem like good business if you want customers? Their guidelines are unclear, and they don't seem to care to have the business. Kind of ashame because my whole house needs new windows. Like I said the lady was very nice that I talked to, just unclear about what is being advertised etc..
