Wilson Roofing

I ended up going with another company that was $500 cheaper and who was able to come out to bid the same day I called. Had a new roof within 4 days of the initial call to the other company.

They were fantastic. They knew exactly how to do it and they did it quickly. They were really professional and had good pricing.

Of all the companies I contacted, Wilson was one of the few that gave me a written estimate. They did take a while to get to my place to measure the roof due to the number of homes with damage in the area. Wilson is one of the easiest contractors that I have ever worked with! They did what they said they would do, worked with me on product selection, and showed up on time. Their prices were in-line with what my insurance estimate. The only minor issue that I had was that some siding was removed from the chimney during the roofing process. They lost the piece and had to find a replacement. The replacement color does not match, but they were able to swap the replacement piece with a piece from the side of the chimney that is not visible from the ground so it's not noticeable. Wilson took care of this problem as soon as I pointed it out to them. This is a great company to work with and I would definitely recommend this company to a friend.

These folks seem *very* busy. So busy, in fact, that I didn't get a personal response at all in the beginning. Instead, I got an emailed message stating that it would take 2 - 3 weeks before I could expect an actual human being to get in touch with me (which turned out to be accurate). Being that busy is a good problem for them, or any business, to have! And in fairness, there were hundreds of damaged homes from the same hail storm that did my roof in, so I don't doubt that they were extremely busy (although, probably not any busier than the other roofing companies in the area). However, I needed someone sooner than that! My repairs (and refinance effort) couldn't wait that long! So I couldn't even *consider* this company. And if I'm being totally honest, I'm never thrilled with 100% non-personal responses from businesses, either. A quick phone call can accomplish so much more than a form letter via email. Especially for large purchases, like a new roof! So in the end, I have no idea if they would have given me a good or bad bid, or if their work would have been great or awful. All I can tell you is that the customer service missing in action for me, and that they were not at all useful for a quick response.

Wilson roofing performed the estimate and provided an "a al carte" cost breakout of the repairs they would recommend. Work was scheduled and performed. They had to return to perform additional work when I discovered there was another place on the roof where the raccoon attempted entry. My only very slightly negative comment - I did find several pieces of old roofing material that had fallen into the bushes around the house and was not cleaned up by the crew. I attribute this to them not seeing the materials.

A section of shingles and underlayment had blown off our roof from high winds. I called Wilson Roofing, they said they would provide a callback to set up a time for an estimate. I received a call the next day, said I didn't have to be present for the estimate. Guy was out at our place the next day, called me and said the estimate was done and that it would be emailed to me soon. Received the email the next day. The estimate came in at $200, which was $550 less than another estimate we had received. I printed out the estimate, signed and faxed it back to Wilson. They called to say they had received it and would call to set up a time. I never received a call to set up a time for the repair, but went home two days later to see the repair had been completed and a note on my door saying the invoice would be mailed shortly, which it was. The repair came in right as they said - $200. My only complaint is that I would have preferred to be at the house while the repair was taking place, to make sure I was satisfied. Because the repair is on the 2nd story, its hard to see what exactly was done. So far, no issues with the repair. And they matched the singles almost exactly to the existing, so you cannot tell a repair has been done.

This past March a hail storm damaged the roof of our Veterinary Clinic. First I got the insurance adjuster out, and then a friend mentioned Wilson Roofing. I checked their rating on Angies list and then I went online and submitted a request to have them bid the work. I got a call back the next day, two days later they came and inspected the roof and gave me a bid. We were very worried because, we are open 7 days per week and we are located on 620, I feared the constuction upsetting business, and I feared the possibility that someone might leave a gate open and somehow an animal would escape. I requested that the work start on a Tuesday as typically that is our slowest day. Once thru the insurance wait, I accepted the bid, and it went to scheduling. A week later I got a call saying that next Tuesday they would start. The crew arrived and everyone from the field manager to the laborers were excellent, polite and professional. The job took two days, I was expecting a week, this is a 10000 square foot building. At the end of each day they cleaned up. All I can say is that I would, I will, and I do recommend Wilson Roofing. The quality? Excellent Did they leave the gate open? No

They were very timely. Their estimate was spot on and did some extra work for free. We were very happy with them. He came out at 8 in the morning and it took less than an hour.

Was a perfect experience, which is very rare with most house repair/remodel companies. They showed up when they said they would & did what they said they would. They were nice & professional. I will definitely be using them again in the future.

Tyson was prompt on the initial appointment. Inspected the problem and gave an estimate which included repairing the hole with tin and covering other potential problems. Estimate for the repairs was accepted, and the work was promptly done. Unfortunately, the critters chewed another hole above the tin. Tyson came out, added more tin, repainted, and cleaned up-again. No extra charge. This time, the critters were discouraged and have not chewed any more holes.

It went very smooth! They came out and fixed it quickly and it looks nice.

They did a fast and thorough job. We were very pleased, and are considering using them to redo our whole roof.

This company was very prompt with an estimator and extremely reasonable with its price. I found them on Angie's List and would definitely use them again. We have a 2-story home that needed a new roof and metal flashing. The cleanup after was very good. Someone came out a week later to check with me to see if I had any issues. I appreciated the follow up. I would recommend them to anyone needing a roof.

It went outstanding overall. They did a real good job. They did it on time. The estimate was fair. A separate contractor put a hole in the roof and Wilson came out quick to repair it. It was easy to work with them. The metal roof was completed in just one day.

Initial estimate was $1000 over insurance company's. Wilson quickly resolved the difference but did not keep me informed. After about a month I called and initiated the repair by signing the bid. About a month later, I received a call from Ralph Wilson chiding me for not responding. After about another month, I received a day's notice that the work had been scheduled. The work was executed well (so far as I can tell) in one day. The invoice showed up about a week later, 15% higher than the agreed bid. I contacted my insurance company and started the process of getting their agreement to the final invoice. In the meantime, I received a letter from Wilson implying that I would be subject to penalties for late payment.

The quality of the work was very good, and the cleanup they did was amazing. They picked up every little thing. The only thing I didn't like is that it took a long time to get the work done. In their defense, I think it was a function of the environment because of the storm. Another thing they did great is that I had a hole in my roof, and Wilson had someone come out the next day and covered it. I thought they went above and beyond what they needed to do.

I had had really poor experiences with other roofers who would say they're booked for weeks and weeks then finally come look at the job and say either they couldn't do it or they'd tell me they were going to submit an estimate and they never would. We needed them really bad as we have some coolers in the space with compressors that were getting the temperature up to 130-140 degrees in our warehouse. Ralph Wilson made exceptions to his schedule to get me taken care of quickly. They did the work well and helped us quickly get out of a major bind. I would highly recommend them.

They did a great job and we are happy with the finished project. They covered our swimming pool to keep it clean. They started the job when they said they would and did a good job of cleaning up. We chose them because they were on Angie's List.

I was very happy with the work they did. They showed up on time to do the work. They called before they came over to do the work. They got the work done when they said they would.

This was the first time I have used their services. We thought they did excellent work. The estimate was right on, but the skylight continued to leak and they came back to fix it again and charged more for that and originally they said they would guarantee it. If they had to replace the whole skylight they would have replaced it for no additional charge.

Generally speaking, the roof replacement went OK. The things I am disappointed in are: 1) they did not advise me of ways of improving the roof before giving me a quote. I would have had a radiant barrier put on had I known about it at the time. 2) There were never English-speaking workers around for me to talk to about issues (like the dumpster that blocked my front door and I had a new vent cover for the attic for them to install and which couldn't be communicated). 3) There is a complicated roof line in the front of the home which is now leaking very badly into my home office. Someone from Wilson's came out and said there is nothing wrong with the roof. However, if we want to pay them an additional $1200 they'll come back out and re-flash near the stucco and hope that solves the problem. The extent of the warranty for this work will be a maximum of 2 years, although I requested 5.

During a wind storm a number of tiles fell off of the roof, revealing some underlying wood rot. I called Wilson Roofing and in a matter of days I had an estimate and had approved the repair. Once again - this is the second time I have contracted with Wilson Roofing - the experience could not have been more pleasant and professional.
