Waterloo Pest Management

I paid $135 with no results. Ernest came on time to the first appoikntment. I showed him the tree and the hole in it where the raccoon lives. We see the raccoon periodically and as recently as a few days before. Ernest seemed knowledgeable and explained that he would leave a cage at the bottom of the tree with peanut butter in it as bait. He first sprayed around the tree holes with a repellant to see if the raccoon was currenly inside, but he was not, as he did not come out. I told Ernest that there were squirrels in the area, and I said that they would probably be trapped and not the raccoon. He told me that that would not happen because the squirrels are very timid and quick and would not go into the cage. The first morning after the cage was set out, there was a squirrel in the cage. I called Ernest, and he came out that afternoon and removed it and re-set the trap. Another squirrel was in the cage the next day...this recurred for 4 or 5 days, trapping 4-5 squirrels in 5 days. He removed the trap when I was at work and never called me after that. I called his phone several times, left voice messages, spoke with his office assistant and asked her to have him call me...he never did. I feel like I wasted $134 without results. I think he should at least have an alternate plan to catch the raccoon, but the raccoon never had an opportunity to get into the cage because a squirrel was already in it every night. I am very, very disappointed and feel ripped off. My advice would be not to pay in full up front like I did.

Ernest is a professional, and very nice guy. We contacted him through Angie's List, and got an immediate response with a very reasonable bid for the work we needed done. Ernest has been out twice, arrived promptly at the scheduled times and got everything done to our satisfaction on the first visit, except for the barn, which could not be sprayed until we prepared it a little better. We did so and had him come out again for the second visit, during which everything was finished. We also inquired about getting rid of small predator animals that were killing our chickens (foxes), and Ernest went home and did research for us on Texas regulations dealing with procedures for catching them legally. A new dog actually solved the problem, but the fact that he went to the trouble to help cover our bases was most appreciated. He also suggested maintenance methods for insect control that we could perform inexpensively on our own. Outstanding support. We will definitely be calling Ernest on a regular basis for routine pest extermination on our property. I don't think there are any bugs or critters in the Texas Hill Country he can't deal with.

It went overall ok. The only issue that I had was that $400 for about 2 hours work, $5 in materials, and two 10 minute check ups seemed like a lot. The only real gripe I had is that I talked to Ernest on the phone and said that I wanted the hole filled with something to prevent the opening from the outside siding to under the tub from letting air in the house. He assured me on the pone that he would take care of it. I even offered up material to put in the hole, but he did not do it on the first visit. Then I called and asked if he was going to come back and do it, he said yes that he would take care of it. Then he came for the final visit and I asked him in person if he took care of it. He said yes and then left. I went out back later that afternoon and it was not done. I called him and left a voice mail and he never returned the call. I won't use him again, but I will call him back out if we get another rodent in the next year because we bought a warranty. I'd say the best thing to do is have him put in writing exactly what he is going to do and when he's going to do it, then when he says that he's done it, have him show you exactly what was done. Should have done this myself, but the reviews on here were so good, I thought that it wouldn't be needed.

Mr. Vasquez arrived within the window of time given. He identified the ants as acrobat ants instead of carpenter ants. He performed the service required at a very reasonable price. They were courteous and professional.

It went great. they were polite and did all work quickly and gave me tips for things to reduce future bug problems.

Immediate response to my call and specialist Ernest came out for this initial visit when I called 8/2. Looked all over and gave us the estimate which met the charge for the service 8/7 as scheduled. The work was fully completed by Ernest and his assistant 8/7. Very professional and friendly. All the wasps are gone--at least for now!! And no other pests seen as Ernest confirmed! We would use this company again in the future as needed for any pest management needs.

The neighborhood skunk strayed very close to my house (smell was strong, horrendous, and permeated every room in my house for 3 hours). I called Waterloo and Ernest came out the next day. A trap was set, and a number of natural repellants were put down to discourage the skunk from coming inside my fenced area where I have dogs. Within a couple of days, the bait was gone and Ernest came out again and put more bait in the trap. After a week of no evidence of the skunk, Ernest came back out and removed the trap. We did not catch the skunk, but then there have been no other close calls either, so it must have moved on to another part of the area.

We had a moderate termite infestation about 15 years ago which caused some damage, mostly to drywall. In the process of tearing out drywall to repair that damage (as part of a major renovation), we discovered a small infestation. Ernest and an associate assessed the damage, and then Ernest himself came out later in the week to perform the treatment. At his recommendation, I removed some subfloor plywood before the treatment to ensure that he had access to all areas under our house. He treated the perimeter and around all the interior piers in an area of about 1200 square feet. We were happy with all aspects of the work. Ernest is very easy to work with. One thing I can't accurately assess is the value, because I didn't get any other bids and we've never had a comprehensive termite treatment before. They spent about an hour on the assessment and about 90 minutes on the treatment, which involved a high volume of the insecticide (it is highly diluted, so there are many gallons of solution applied). The $600 bid seemed reasonable to me.

The price was fair and the work was well-done. He gives a 90 day guarantee with the service but says most customers don't need repeat treatment for up to 4 months. We were very satisfied with the promptness of the service as well as his professionalism and expertise. He answered all our questions and gave us some tips on how to save money in the future. We will continue to use his services. 8/19/2012 We were seeing occasional bugs and spiders. We called Waterloo and they came right out and treated the house again. They told us that it's not unusual to have to make a second trip after a house has been empty for several months. They did a great job.

Ernest came out inspected my home and yard. I called him due to Scorpions in my home. He was excellent he pretreated my yard for Fire Ants. On his return he was here first thing in the morning treated the house, garage and both the front and back yards. He is the best will use him for all my needs

He is really good if you have any problems later. We have construction going on and bugs were going everywhere and he came out at no charge. We really like him.

Ernest the owner, is very friendly and easy to work with. His employees were professional and courteous. They showed up on time when they were scheduled to and gave a very thorough explanation of everything. They were very fair and honest with pricing and in the way they seem to conduct their business. We have used them on multiple occasions now and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a very good vendor for any of the services that they perform.

I was most impressed by Ernest Vasquez's thoroughness in examining the outside and inside of the house. He accessed the attic through two separate locations to be sure of his examination. Despite my offer to pay for his visit and his dusting of the attic with the boric acid compound, he refused to accept any money. He said if these problems reappear, and he has to come back, then he will consider billing for his services. I was very pleased with his professionalism, friendliness, and generosity. I will definitely tell other people about him and use Waterloo's services if needed in the future.

They seemed to do a good job as I haven't seen any but then again you never really know. But I would give them A's all the way.

The overall experience was excellent. I would use this service again. The squirrels haven't come back so the quality of work was excellent.

Ernest is just a likable guy he aswered all my questions and more importantly explained the service and our problem in a way my wife could understand. He came out and sprayed the entire property inside and out and provided a 1 year warranty for fleas and 3 month for roaches. So far so good. One month later and haven't seen either roach or flea. I also should mention Ernest's service after the initial service. We found an unknow bug in the house, took a picture and texted it to Ernest for Identification and he responded promptly and answered our follow up questions about the bug. Definaltey dependable, reliable good service and all around good guy.

He was very professional. His diagnosis about what was happening was accurate. He provided good service overall. My overall experience was excellent. Their price was good. I would use him in the future.

I liked their service it was fine. They had a solution for my problem and they worked on it. I would use them again. They spray for termites for me and the original problem was wasps and they sprayed and killed all the wasps around the house and did a good job.

Ernest is one of the best providers of household services I have ever used. He was scheduled to start work on the house earlier in January, but the rain had made that impractical for the outside work. However, with permission, he came over to do the outside work before I even moved in and then kindly accommodated my moving schedule to get in the house. I called Waterloo to do this work because my previous rent house (in a nice, but old part of town) had developed some extremely unwanted 4-legged visitors. (I wrote a report then, too.) I know that I can absolutely count on Ernest to do a careful, thorough job. He takes the time to explain what and why he is taking the action he takes. He is careful in his pricing and I have found that he can be hundreds (yes, hundreds) of dollars less than some companies which advertise widely. I count on Ernest's advice and technical experience.

They are great, on time, prices are great they were on time. They are just fantanic.
