+ -1 moreWaterloo pest control provided an estimate by phone and was able to provide actual pest control services within a few days from our first phone contact. Ernest was very professional and informative. We had a total of three visits to complete all services. The outdoor treatment had to be re scheduled due to weather conditions. A third visit was necessary to complete mesh work to cover various roof Vents. However, we did not have to be home for the last two visits. Overall, we were pleased with services provided.
Description of Work: Ernest provided general pest control inside/ out as well as flea/tick control service. He also (for an additional fee ) added mesh to cover openings on roof vents where animals could possibly enter.

+ -1 moreErnest is great! I first hired him several years ago to find the place where rats were getting into the house. He found it in less than 15 minutes (after another company searched in vain for hours). Unfortunately, the masonry around our crawlspace tends to move and crack over time, so the rats are back. Ernest came back out and showed me the new access points and gave me a detailed explanation how to seal them myself to save money. He will help you catch rats too, but first you need to seal off the access points, and I have not found anyone better in austin.

He also gave us other advice on areas of our home that we should improve that are unrelated to termites, such as flammable sealant foam on our water heater pipe and cracks in the seams of wood on an exterior window and along a roof and porch column. Overall, excellent service and a pleasure to do business with.
Description of Work: Inspection of home and garage for deficiencies and places that needed treatment. Termite prevention treatment on front and rear door of detached garage.

Description of Work: We first called Ernest about a year ago, in summer 2012, for a persistent rodent problem. We could hear them and smell them behind our bathroom cabinets and would even occasionally see a mouse in the bathroom. He came out, rodent proofed all points of access on the roof and under the eaves, and set traps; but also commented that he suspected the issue was a plumbing leak and that the rats were getting in through a gap in the pipes. The initial fee for an annual contract was around $350, but he came out repeatedly after that at no charge to retrieve traps and also to fill in a gap under the bathtub with crushed gravel and stones in case the rats were getting that way, while still recommending that we call out a plumber. This we finally did, and he turned out to be completely correct in that we had major plumbing leaks. The plumbers proposed a plan for repair and Ernest came to meet with them, again at no charge, to make sure what they proposed would work. Repairs were completed in fall of 2012 & we have not had any further issues. Ernest came out again today to do a termite check and did not even charge a fee.

Description of Work: We heard "something" scratching above our bedroom occasionaly. Waterloo Found the opening where the squirrels were getting in from the roof, sealed the area and we've not had any problems since they were there. This is a townhouse development so not only did they inspect our area but the three other units connected through common spaces.

He also took the time to advise me on some precautions to take to prevent carpenter ants--and made no attempt at a related sale. A coupe of months afterward, I called about some wasps nests, and he came out and took care of them at no charge. That's customer service!

+ 0 moreIt went very smoothly. Ernest always showed up when promised (and even came a couple of times to check on the trap). The problem was resolved and Ernest was always very personable and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Waterloo.
Description of Work: We were hearing scratching underneath our house and called Waterloo. We made an appointment for Ernest to come out and he surveyed the house and determined where the animals were able to crawl under the house. He proposed a solution that not only resolved that issue but protected a much larger area. The price was very reasonable. He showed up with his crew on time to do the work and left a small opening with a trap. Sure enough an opossum was living under the house. Ernest removed the critter (and promised not to harm it) and sealed up the rest of the crawl space.

+ -1 moreThis was back in July of last year. We have not had 1 rat in the attic since Ernest came out. He did a bang up job, and had some great tips on other issues (ants, insulation, etc). Would definitely recommend him again, and my landlord was so impressed, she wants his info for referrals.
Description of Work: Ernest and his team came out and did an examination of the house and the roof, and showed me places the last guy missed when trying to control the rats in our attic. He quoted me a decent price, I checked with the landlord, and we went with it. He came out a couple days later, and he plugged up all the remaining holes in and around the house.

He noticed several problem areas with my new home and spoke directly with my builder about rectifying those issues. The builder agreed to take care of it saving me $450! After my initial pest-control treatment, I am now signed up for regular service with Waterloo (no contract required). Ernest is a true professional!

They came a couple of times and with the initial visit, they came and took care of some things and the quality of the work was fine but it was more of the responsiveness and the dealing of the scheduling was not good and when I called him and I thinks it's his wife who answered and it's kind of unprofessional of him. He had a follow-up work but he never even called me back. He was really nice and friendly and everything but it just became kind of annoying and the standard that I really want to work with.

+ -1 moreErnest first came to my house about a year ago. He not only took care of the pests but sealed up the house for a very reasonable price and a 1 year warranty. A year later, my house had some foundation shifting and created new openings, and pests came back in. Ernest came back three times setting up traps and making sure the rats were gone before sealing up the house again, all under warranty. The fact that he actually works to close up the house makes him a better value than most. I would highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Placed traps to get rid of any existing rodents, return visit to remove traps, applied repellant, and sealed up openings.

Arrived on time, figured out the problem, made a plan and came back on Saturday to work the plan. Dusted the outside of my windows where gapes had developed and then caulked them and even caulked others that were not the problem but needed doing. Great, professional, on time and friendly.

+ -1 moreWe had a rat that got behind our oven. We called Ernesto and he came out and set traps. They caught one rat behind the oven. They also sealed up the rest of the house and inspected it for entry points. They set traps in the attic as well, but didn't catch anything there. They were very easy to work with and took care of the problem. Since then, we discovered that some animal chewed a hole in our chimney. Ernesto came out and inspected it and closed it off with wire mesh. He did this free of charge last month (11/2012). Overall, a great company. They seem to care about their customers and are interested in keeping their great reputation. We have referred a few friends to them when they have needed pest control services.
Description of Work: - Killed and removed a rat behind our oven with a snap trap. - Inspected and sealed the outside of the house to close off potential entry points. - Set traps in the attic and came back to check them and eventually remove them. - Sealed a hole an animal chewed with mesh in a separate incident.
