Description of Work: They upholstered 2 upright dining chairs, backs and seats. The price of the fabric was high and the cost of labor was probably about right. They did the work in less time than they had indicated at first. The chairs look very nice.

+ -1 moreVMS was prompt in picking up and delivering and did a lovely job on the chair which has great sentimental value to my son-in-law since the chair belonged to his grandmother. I had asked if at all possible to save enough of the original fabric so that I could make make a decorator pillow and they returned a large piece that I was able to use. The VMS folks are very courteous and wanted to be sure I was satisfied with the work, which I was. I would recommend them to family and friends and will use them again if the occasion arises.
Description of Work: I spoke with Neal at VMS Upholstery when I called to describe the chair I needed reupholstered and that I had my own fabric, he was was able to come out the next day to look at the chair and fabric, and one week later he had completed the job. VMS called to ask what would be the best time to deliver the chair, they arrived promptly and I was very pleased with the workmanship on the re-upholstery.

Description of Work: Two small wing chairs repaired, re-webbed, re-covered with fabric we chose from their book of fabrics. One antique wooden frame chair re-upholstered with fabric we chose from their book. They look GREAT!

+ -1 moreOverall, the job was very good. We never had anything upholstered before, and were very satisfied with the ending result, as well as the pick-up and delivery were a godsend. We also asked the representative if he could quote us on two other bucket chairs to be recovered, and he also quoted us approximately $300 each and told us how much material we would need for them. We will definitely call them in the future if we decide to have more upholstery work done.
Description of Work: I had 6 brand new chairs and 2 Captain's chairs with factory material and we wanted them recovered to match our room. We provided our own material to VMC and they actually came all the way up here (NW Austin) and picked up chairs and material and brought back in a week's time. I thought they would remove the cushions here, but they wanted to bring the chairs into the shop as it was easier for them to do this.

+ -1 moreI have had many things reupholstered and this was by far the best experience. Within a few days, they were at my house to price the work I needed done. The cost for each club chair was $300 and $32.50 for each dining chair. They charged $30 for shop supplies and $68 tax. The club chairs are Heritage chairs and the reupholstering was just as good as the original. Care was taken to ensure that the patterns on both types of chairs matched. The chairs look as good as they did when they were new. They also returned my unused fabric. They are friendly!
Description of Work: I sent six dining room chairs and two club chairs to be reupholstered with my fabric. They picked up and delivered my chairs.

+ -1 moreI HAVE USED THEM MANY TIMES TO DO MY SOFAS. THEY HAVE ALSO UPHOLSTERED MANY CHAIRS FOR ME. I ENJOY DONG BUSINESS WITH THEM. THEY ARE A SMALL BUSINESS BUT VERY PROFESSIONAL. VERY SATISFIED WITH THE WORK THEY HAVE DONE FOR ME.
Description of Work: I HAD TWO CHAIRS UPHOLSTERED. HE BROUGHT OVER THREE OR FOUR BOOKS TO PICK MY SAMPLES. HE PROMISED TO HAVE THE JOB COMPLETE IN TWO WEEKS.
