The staff of VCM is very qualified in their craft. The seamster is second generation in his craft trained by his father. I gave them the supplies on Friday and picked up six finished cushions on the next Thursday. I was very picky and specific as to how I wanted the cushions to look. VCM not only met but exceeded my expectations. I do not know how they could have performed the job any better. I am very pleased with the cost, quality and skills of the VCM team!! I wish I could attach a picture so you could see their fine work.

VMC picked up and delivered couch on time, as promised. Owner matched color and texture then found the best supplier. Completed work on a very tight schedule early and within budget. Charged less than original quote because he was able to use less material than was estimated using vendor's standard planning guides. He promised to attempt to do that during the original pricing discussions. This shop does great work. Managed very, very well.

Great services. Not polished office skills, but that is not what I am here for. Very talented people.

I called them to get a ballpark idea of the cost for work. We delivered the chair and explained the problem. We dealt with neal. The work was done within days. They called us when the chair was ready. Neal told us that he repaired the springs. But he said the chair still was not perfect, so he added foam and extra cushioning. We were extremely pleased with the results. The final price was less than the estimate, even with the extra foam and work.

Never returned my phone call. I don't' call this good customer service.

They did a really good job and the price was reasonable. The turn around time was average.

I supplied the fabric and had the chair. They picked up and delievered for a $40 charge. The fabric had a pattern which was centered perfectly. I loved the way the patterns were repeated and mirrored on the chair. It's just a beautiful job and I would totally recommend VMC Upholstery Shop.

Funky place, nothing fancy, but excellent craftsmanship

He was professional and timely. I didn’t have to wait on anything. He picked up and delivered everything and did a fine job with what I gave him. I gave him fabric for the chairs but he provided the leather for the sofa. I thought that his pricing was reasonable for what he did. There was one time when he called me and cancelled an appointment as he was busy and he explained the reason. But he came when he said he would come.

The job isn't finished yet. We just took the couch over there a week ago. The estimate seemed very good. They seemed very helpful.

I went to the shop prior to the furniture pick up to select fabric. I had a treasured family couch recovered and discussed problems with last upholstery job. I wanted to avoid the biggest issue which I thought could be blamed on the fabric I used previously. The owner, very pleasant guy, came to the house, saw the alterations I requested and took the couch. They did alter the arms of the couch and dropped the back but the biggest problem remained and I have since come to realize it was the replacement cushions on the last job that were at fault and VMC did not discover that and correct it. The flounce was too long again as before and I've concluded that they simply made patterns for cutting the new fabric from the existing covering and repeated the same problems. I don't think the owner is an upholsterer so my consulting with him over corrections that needed to be made accomplished nothing. A language barrier with the craftsmen in the shop proved too big to overcome, even with my visit during the work to speak to them specifically. If you need an exact copy of the covering you currently have (new fabric), I think you'll be very happy. I needed some custom work and did not receive that.

He was very good. He was helpful and gave suggestions when I ran short on the fabric. His price was very good. He was responsive and professional. However, he was late with his delivery.

Although the couch was beautifully done, The throw pillows had to be redone twice and still looked cheesy. Not at all like the originals. My sister's chairs were recovered nicely but the stripe in the fabric was not aligned so she ended up having them redone. The do some things really well and seem to have some very inexperienced people doing some others. Strange dichotomy.

They were wonderful and they did the project in one week. They did a gorgeous job and the price was reasonable.

The company picked up the sofa at the agreed upon time and returned it early (about one week). The work was superb--done with care, precision and a sense of artistry. I couldn't be more pleased with the service and the work.

Overall VMC Upholstery Shop was very professional and extreamly nice. They were also very informative.

VMC picked up on a Tuesday and delivered the next Tuesday with a beautiful better than new finish. The chairs looked new and updated and the workmanship was high quality.

I was very pleased with VMC. Neil came to my house to give an estimate. He offered suggestions and actually recommended against something he could have charged extra for. He called during the work to ask my preference on something that we had not discussed during the estimate. His estimate was a little higher than the final cost. The work took approximately 2 1/2 weeks but that was because it fell over the Thanksgiving holiday. He had estimated 2 weeks. I will definitely use them again.

We had inherited a very fine couch and matching chair, both custom-built in the 1950s, meaning very well built; but of course showing signs of wear. VMC, picking up and delivering, did an excellent job in their reupholstering, and did it in timely fashion. Very easy to work with, and we were most pleased with the result.

In addition to doing a great job, it was done fast! I had the cushions back in less than a week.

We visited the shop and set up an appointment to get an estimate and have the chair picked up. Neal advised us on fabric, picked up the chair as scheduled and delivered the completed chair as scheduled. The quality of the work was entirely satisfactory, the price was better than expected and timing was perfect: less than a month from first contact until delivery. We are delighted with the chair, the work, VMC and life.

Owner correctly estimated time job would take. Arrived on time for appointments to pick up and deliver furniture and was easy to reach. The work looked wonderful very careful workmanship. He brought samples of available fabrics for me to consider when giving estimate and gave me required yardages for my fabric purchase.
