Viking Fence

Description of Work: Representative came to the house and quoted $1850 for 100ft x 8ft high wooden fence with steel poles. I asked if they can add lattisse to the top to increase to 10ft. He called me a few days later and quoted $3000.00 which was rediculous for a 2 ft high lattisse. I asked him to check the price again, but he never got back to me.

Description of Work: I called to get an estimate done last week for additional fencing and gates I needed at my property. I spoke with a representative who could not give me a date to come out for the estimate, but said he would call me back with one. He never called and 5 days have now passed. I did not bother to call back, as several months ago, my problem called to have a dog pen built and got the same result. No one could commit to come out for an estimate and said he would call back. He never did. I would never recommend this company. I would go out of my way to tell people to avoid them. If they are too busy to call clients back or follow up, they obviously do not need new business.

Description of Work: We had a large part of our fence fall during the big storm that hit Round Rock yesterday. I called Viking Fence at 7am wanting to be the first on their list for the morning. I was dispatched to WAYNE. We had a conversation about how RR got so much rain/damage and his town, Georgetown only got drizzle. He took down my name, address and phone number and said he would be here after noon. I began calling Viking around 3pm to see if Wayne was coming. They couldn't reach him. At 4:30pm I was told that Wayne had never heard of me and I must've spoken to someone else. Wow....pass the buck. Look, I don't mind being told there's no time for me....Im sure there is lots of competition in that business, but don't say you're coming and then not be professional enough to call me when you don't. Nope....Viking's off my list.

Description of Work: We had a very complicated fence situation;. part of our old fence was made out of siding and blew down during a storm; the area of replacement had a large drop-off, needed to match a custom handmade fence, and had a small brick wall on one side that needed to conform to swimming pool code. Rick cleverly figured out a solution and the fence matched perfectly. There was a misunderstanding on the lattice type (for the brick wall) and he was there pronto and had his guys take it down and rebuild it.

Description of Work: Viking fence installed a simple iron fence around our large property 7 years ago. it was pricey but we have large dogs and needed a tall fence. in the last year many welds have begun to break and our dogs are able to escape when they notice the loose parts. I had called to see if they would come weld just 5 spots. I was quoted an unreasonable price for 15 minutes of work. I ended up going a head and buying a whole new panel from them for the same price. I have since then noticed more broken welds. I do not feel they stand behind their product. Disappointing when you invest so much money on a fence.

Description of Work: I selected Viking Fence because of their reputation and length of service in the Austin area. I contacted them - three times - to request a residential privacy fence estimate. They did not even bother to call back. I even contacted them through their website, to no avail. The impression they left me with is that they are obviously too profitable to contact residential customers.
